So I ordered 2 picnic hams but they didnt come in the weight I needed (one would think that they would come salted and cured) not this time. And granted this was 2 weeks before I needed them....well 1st a whole leg come in ...not salted ,not cured. A few days pass and more mis communication, I get a call that says your hams are in , I ask again....salt d n cured? Nope same leg. So I have 2 days Ill go to cash n carry and get a couple of Farmlands (on sale for 1.99 a pound) well a few minutes later a guy calls back and says no we have your hams here. Success, my cousin goes to pick them up. Saturday at party as she is taking them out of oven proceeds to tell me that they were not "anything special, just Farmlands ham" I said you got to be kidding me? For 2.99 a pound all I got was regular store bought Farmlands that were a dollar more a pound cause I got them at a meat market. And I have gone there for years, even during the selling of the biz. I think Im ordering like farm fresh or something special nope, overpriced regular ham. Now dont get me wrong Farmland is good , but tell me they are farmland, next time its cash n carry or Costco. I wont go back. They are not the only ones in the meat game.

Used to go there all the time without problems, now quality is down. Seems like I got stuck with an idiot behind the counter, asked for a pound of sever types pf brats, I received three, of each that is, not three pounds of each. I was looking to get 4 links of each, I usually just ask for a pound of each. Looking at the weights they are each just under a pound, duh. I guess I should have specified. Ham hocks and shanks looked like crap, I would not take them even if they were free. They used to have the best shanks and hocks around. I will be looking elsewhere I guess for a better product and smarter service.

Hello public. My wife had been buying all our meet from this shop for several years. Things where good till we got food poisoned from their hamburger. When we confronted Evan and Tom they both denied selling my wife Hamburger and told us we bought somewhere else. We came back with a receipt and they told us we needed to refrigerate it like we are stupid. Well duh! The worst part of it was my little girl spent a night in the hospital. Keep your family healthy and stay away from max dirty meat.

Almost immediately they will ask how they can help. The store front is a very, very long case of meats from sausage to brisket to rabbit and elk. They arent pushy at all as you walk around and decide if you want anything. No hard feelings if you leave without anything. They have gigantic bones in a freezer and lots of stuff in a cooler for meats people seldom order. They will custom cut for free and have a lot of smoked goods too. Wonderful place!!

Been getting meat from Stewarts meats in McKenna but after coming here, I think this will be our new meat store. It doesnt have that dead meat smell housed inside a dirty old building. The counter tops are clean, the people use gloves, and one person handles the sales, unlike Stewarts where whoever sells you your meat handle the sales, and they dont even take their gloves off. I also noticed the floors here are clean, Stewarts are dirty.

Awesome place with great meats and selections. Have not bought ground beef anywhere else because these guys sell the best.. love the smoked meats..best smoked ham hocks to be found too.. huge and delicious.. not like those fake ones offered in the chain stores. Excellent jerky and beef stix and for St Pats.. dont lose out on their corned beef. Love these guys and they run a fantastic shop

These guys are passionate about their product and it shows in their enthusiastic customer service. Always willing to give out samples of their sausages and jerky, and explain the process each of them goes through. Everything I have gotten from them so far has been top notch, and well worth the fair prices they charge. And the Breakfast package is outstanding!

me and the wife went in and got some filets . so tender ! staff was friendly ... place was clean and prices were fair. I normally go all the way to stewarts meats ... its such a drive lol so not as often as I would like. I live in orting and work in Puyallup they have locations both directions ! Im excited to have found blue max!

Been going here for months and have loved EVERYTHING weve tried. From steaks, to burger, to roasts, From pork chops, to apple smoked bacon, to jerky and pepperoni, both in multiple flavors. Waiting impatiently for grilling season so we can star testing out the brats!

Always USDA PRIME level of service. The art of butchering isnt lost here, theyre pros. Lots of Hormone free and Organic meats to choose from. Housemade sausages and assorted meat Jerky to choose from. I pass a few butchers to get to this Gem.

Awesome place to get all kinds of meats! Exotic, to beef and chicken. I personally am addicted to the Beast Mode sausages and smoked salmon. I pick up a pound of beef jerky every week as well. I love the quality and the staff! 2 Thumbs up!

amazing! great customer service, great selection in meats, this is the spot if youre an avid barbecuer.only complaint I have is the pricing. twice what youd pay at the local grocery store. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Ive been here once or twice a while ago and they had ground elk for about $16 a pound. Pricey but the meat made some excellent burgers.
