These people suck. Everything is supost to be top notch from there so why does everything i buy suck and i have to return it. I have been a member a long time and i recently got into a wreck with my bicycle on the back and it got smached. So i brought it into rei for a crash report they told me in person that it would be done in two days and i had three people tell me this. So the next day the insurance guy goes there and they havent even thought about looking at it. So my wife goes in later that day and asks whats the deal and they tell her its going to be 6 days till they can look at it. So we wait. Then they half ass check the bicycle and we all know that the fork is the most exp part of the bicycle and they didnt even look at it and my frame is bent that wasnt in the crash report so rei is screwing me out of a new bike. My old one was hit by a car its totalled i will never feel comfortable riding it on the trails again all i got to say is what happened to good customer service and qulaity products.

Keep trying to give REI a chance. REI has always disappointed but they finally had an exact desired item that was priced reasonably at Amazon and an other outdoor store price. Unfortunately the other outdoor store is in Port Angeles and was closed the day I was in Port Angeles. REI had the item online so I showered, combed my hair went to the store. Tis the season for snowshoes but not at REI. They didnt stock the in-season item enough to have any selection. No Mens snowshoes. One style of womens snowshoes... An outdoor store should have stock for any rush on an item and not run out (assuming they had them but there were no empty hooks on the wall. They should be counted on and trusted to service the outdoors customer. That type of store is not a browsing store or an accept whatever the store has in stock type store. People want the item for their needs/wants and go to get THAT item. Ill order the item online from another source and be ready for next weekend.

-1 star for poor customer service Felt compelled to take a star away, unfortunately. My REI sleeping pad was losing air. Took it in to either get patched or exchanged. The lady says their return policy has been changed to only within a year of the purchase. I thought, "sweet! just in time." So she goes to the back for some reason, comes back and says they cant exchange it. Didnt really give a reason for the change of heart, although she told me it has been less than a year and this should be fine first. Tells me they sent an email telling me about the change. Suggests I buy a ThermaRest with replaceable valve. I was disappointed that she went against what she told me in the first place and then could not offer me a valid reason for changing her mind.I didnt feel like making a scene so I ended up having to buy a new one right there. Doesnt seem like they even know their own policies now.

Was a great experience! Went there 2 weeks ago and my wife and I worked with Iris on fitting us with overnight backpacks. She was great to work with and very knowledgeable. She is an experienced hiker and taught us a lot. We bought two packs and love em. We went back two weeks later and Iris set us up with day packs. Iris was great, wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to work with. So, if your into hiking and need help, Iris is the expert....ask for her.

Went to the mens shoes department, the sales associate asked what I needed I told her the size and the shoe I was interested in, she went to the back came out with nothing, then proceeded to help everyone around me pulling shoes, and asking if they needed help while I ended up sitting there for 10mins being ignored kudos on the customer service REI.

As always I received excellent and knowledgeable service. I needed to exchange hiking boots on the advice of my podiatrist and the associate knew exactly how to meet my needs and did so cheergilly, quickly and efficiently even while serving several other customers.

Do you hate the mall? You should. But unfortunately you have to go to one to visit this REI. On the upsides, this place is awesome. All their products are great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and ascetically pleasing.

A great REI to stop into if you have a common place need. Its smaller than the downtown Seattle location, so some more obscure items may not be available. Staff are laid back, but more than willing to help you out.

Not the best REI on Earth, but an REI nonetheless. This store has a large footprint (and is the two-story variety) so there are lots of gear options; however, I find the sale and garage sale deals to be very weak.

Big selection of gear and supplies of all types. Prices can vary widely, but expect to spend some serious scratch on anything you actually want. Most of the time staff is nowhere to be seen beyond the register.

Was disappointed with their selection of winter clothing for kids. Went looking for kids gloves but they didnt have any. Adult selection is pretty good though, top name brands and plenty of styles.

Its a pretty small REI but it has everything you would expect from an REI. Great service. I was able to find out what i needed within a minute of walking in.

The place to go for your outdoor stuff. Huge selection and price a little bit on the high side, but good stuff is pricey anyway.
