I had thought I finally found a good local gun shop. Went there several weeks ago and dropped probably a total of $375 in tools, components, and books. Went by to pick up another $85 worth of components and tried to return an extra book. Had lost the receipt and they would not take it... Certainly their right, but much less service than Id expect from a local shop, esp. given their mark-up on most items. Probably saved them a few $ at most to refuse me this convenience. Some other firearms businesses really go the extra mile. Those that dont really make it hard to justify giving them the business. Paying extra to "keep the business local" means expecting some service. By the way, there are lots of good family-owned business out there that do business by the internet and mail. When the current craze fades, those are going to be the ones keeping customers... For what its worth, several of the staff do seem quite knowledgeable. I did get the usual political earful the last time I went there, which is a bit unprofessional. Im in the national guard, so I try to keep my views quietly modest in public, and as a result I do kind of resent getting lectured by angry people on either side.

Stopped by today to buy some standard pistol primers and 9mm projectiles and was pleasantly surprised by both their selection and quality of firearms and reloading supplies. They had all the reloading components I could ask for and were priced fairly. Though they were slightly higher priced than Cabelas in Lacey, it is a much shorter drive from Seattle so I saved on gas. In addition, they had a wide variety of both new and used firearms and they were priced roughly $50 less than I have seen them at other stores (i.e. Wades). I found their employees to be friendly and knowledgable and I look forward to doing much more business with Ned and the rest of the guys at the store. I would recommend this store to anyone and everyone interested in firearms of all kinds. I do not know if they have undergone a manager change or anything like that because these other reviews were not at all like my experience except for Ryan. I could not ask for a better experience at a gun store.

I have to give these guys five stars because I have bought several and I mean several guns, and galco leather from these guys and 99.9% of the time it is a great experience. There is one guy in there who I will not name because no one is perfect and he doesnt deserve to be called out, that can be grumpy and it can ruin your buying experience. Oh and to the guys who feel talked down to that are looky-loos, this place has a ton of guns and very limited space and staff, buy something or get F out, you have the internet for research. Anyways, I buy everytime I step foot in this place, about every 2 months, and I expect to be treated like a valued customer and for the most part they certainly do. The owner is a cool dude, there all pretty cool actually. I only buy from these guys and Outdoor emporium in Seattle, and only if these guys dont have what I want.

Bought a sidearm. Knowledgeable staff. The younger red head guy needs to just grab what Im asking from the shelf and quit with the 50 questions first. Im looking at rail parts and other accessory hardware which is behind the counter. I need a few things...but I need to look at them...this dude wouldnt just get them off the shelf and let me examine them...to asses its usabilty for MY custom project. So when he finally got them off the shelf and let me look at them...I declined to buy...just because he turned a 5min transaction into 10min and too many questions. He wanted to qualify everything I was doing. WHAT IF..i wanted to flush em down the toilet? Dke5snt matter I pay and they are mine.Get rid of doesnt" know it all".

My favorite gun shop is Kesselrings in Burlington but Adventure Sports in Lynnwood is a decent shop also. I bought a Ruger 380 and a Mossberg SPX at good prices. I live in Everett and Lynnwood is a lot closer than Burlington. No one beats Kesselrings prices but a 100 mile drive round trip has to be factored in. I have bought at Sams and have done well with them also. Adventure Sports seems the best around for cowboy action as they have a nice selection of Urberti and Cimmaron. The shops to avoid is Wades and Discount Guns because their prices are set higher than anyone else and Lynnwood Guns unless you really like being insulted by a nasty shop owner..

This place is awesome! When you first walk inside you are instantly overwhelmed with the huge selection of guns/gear/ammo/etc, its really a one stop shop for everything firearm. What I personally enjoy the most is the excellent selection of 1911 guns, and aftermarket parts, most of which you would think are only available online. I could spend hours just looking at all the cool stuff they have. Prices are very fair, you never leave with the feeling you paid too much (like other local shops). For the most part the staff if very friendly, helpful with any questions, and makes great recommendations. This place has got a customer for life!

Very inconsistent on service and attitude. Sometimes I love going there (seem to get great treatment when I am buying) and other times get lots of snotty gun shop attitude. No matter if you are new to firearms or not you do not deserve to get treated like an idiot or get vibe that if you are not willing to buy or interested in something then you should just leave. I know they will not change their ways because they dont have to, but if someone from Adventure reads this and gives a rip about customer perception and word of mouth advertising they should all sit down and discuss their inconsistencies in service and demeanor.

I just bought my 5th and 6th handgun from ASL. Great service, lots of knowledge, and a willingness to help. The guys there always take the time to talk to me about any firearm related questions I may have. I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them again, and I send everyone I can to them for help. Its good to have a shop I can trust with everything gun related. The prices may be a bit higher at ASL, but Im willing to pay for having this store stand behind the guns Ive purchased from them. Thanks again guys, keep up the great standards your store is known for. And thanks for the words of wisdom Gary!

Bought three guns from these guys over the past few years. They are sticklers about the price, so dont expect to go south of the MSRP. Also, Ive had wildly different customer service experience depending on who I am helped by. I enjoy firearms and have my CCW but lean towards the liberal side. Found some of the staff a little grumpy and condescending, but there is a really nice gal there and a younger gentleman who is unbelievably knowledgable about all of their products. For better or worse, they are my go-to spot.

they have a great selection of excellent high-end air rifles and an extremely knowledgeable "air gun guy" named mike. they have new and used air guns and firearms that are placed reasonably. it is a nice place to window shop as the staff knows their stuff - there are plenty of them there so you can get help right away and b.s without them having to go help someone else. this is the only place in seattle that i have found that carries the air rifles cabelas doesnt- the sick imported european kind of stuff..
