Overall the piece isnt too bad but I waited for over an hour for the artist to print out out the stencil while I was the only person in the shop the entire time, and the work felt super rushed while the piece only took less than thirty minutes on the table he charged me a few hundred bucks for really simple line work and I hate to say it was over priced because a tattoo is a huge thing that takes a lot of practice but my lines are super uneven as in some places its thick and others its super thin while it wasnt supposed to be. Lots of details he said he was going to put in after the stencil free hand he didnt add. I know I could have asked him to keep working but he was so quick to take my money and push me out the door it was way too uncomfortable. The shop was cool but my piece was rushed, overpriced and uneven and the artist seemed annoyed the entire time just because I asked him once to redo the overall circle of the stencil. Not a great experience for me at least

I wish I would have discovered this place sooner. Before I deployed I looked past this shop because of its location. When I got back to the US my friend told me about a tattoo artist named Q and brought me in. Now I have this dragon sleeve that looks amazing! No wonder these guys dont pay for advertisement, they get their own reputation with the military community through word of mouth. I highly recommend getting a tattoo here. The atmosphere is great, I would go there just to hang out. These guys will keep you laughing as you get your piece done. My experience with Q was quick, he doesnt try to purposely prolong the process to get more money out of you. The pricing is fair, I am a very happy customer.

So theres this artist that works at this place that used to work at a sixth Ave tattoo shop. My mom got a tattoo from this guy and she ended up getting a keloid scar. A keloid scar is a scar that happens underneath your skin and never heals. Since it never heals the scar builds up more and more and more over time and it dries up and itches constantly. Shes delt with it now for about 2 years. Doctors say its because he went too deep and caused significant damage. Now I know there is a couple guys working there, but this guy has a noticeable slash unique mustache and is also very skinny. Just please be careful, I would hate for someone else to go through what my mom has.

Ive been looking for an artist for two years to do my TMNT 1/4 sleeve. I met up with Q and he definitely hooked it up. These guys are awesome. They wont jerk you around and they will do everything within their power to help you out. If youre looking for skilled artists hit this place up. I promise they wont steer you wrong. Union Ave is an ace shop with a classy group of professionals bangin out superior tattoos. I had the previlige of collecting a tattoo from Steve Q, the owner, a real gentleman with a creative eye for traditional style artwork. Hes polite, efficient & his work speaks for itself. Folks always compliment the owl he did on my arm & I feel honored to wear it. It was a great experience & Union Ave is hands down my new shop.

Couldnt be happier! The shop is amazing and super clean. First tattoo done was a cover up. It was done so perfectly you cant even tell its a cover. Once I saw that, I was hooked and have continued to go there. Q and DK are as real as it gets! They are patient, honest and hard working guys and the prices are great. Best tattoo shop in Washington! Veteran owned and ran which means they hold themselves to a higher standard. I was down here for a week. I walked in with a plan, the day of tattooing Steve aka q aka handsome/sexy Steve drew up the tattoo after seeing Im a big man. he did a great job in a timely manner and a great price. if your looking for some ink you should stop by and check them out.
