CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF GRUMPY, RUDE EMPLOYEES!!! In January 2016 I bought an entire $50 6.50 yard bolt of fabric from the red tag section to take home to see if it would work in the color scheme for a wedding in June 2016. It wasnt going to work so I brought it back to be returned. The lady at the register was very nice, courteous and helpful. She sent be back to the cutting table to have it measured for the return. There I was told very abruptly red tag items are never returnable. I asked if there was a sign I had missed to inform customers of this policy. She told me I should know that clearance items are never returnable. I went back to the nice lady and asked to speak to a manager. She again was very nice and asked for a manager to come speak with a customer. I didnt get her name but would like to thank her for her professionalism in customer relations. The manager came and she, as the lady at the cutting counter, was rude and impatient. She curtly told me she would allow my return this one time but that I was to understand this was never to happen again. I suggested the store have signs in areas where merchandise was not returnable informing customers of this policy. She said she would mention it to corporate but the information was on the back of the receipt. When my son suggested that it didnt make sense that a customer must buy merchandise to get a receipt on the back of which is the information that the merchandise wasnt returnable, also be mentioned to corporate, the manager became even more rude and dismissal. She did make the return continuing in her condescending manner. It will be a long time before I feel the need to shop in Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts. I am also sending this to corporate hoping they will see a need for posting return policies, having employees speak the return information to customers they notice are buying non-returnable merchandise AND training employees in aspects of professional customer service and relations in their store. (The one star is for the employee that was friendly, helpful and kind)

So I go in often enough that Ive met many of the staff there and Ive never had a negative interaction with anyone working there, in fact they know always give me tips, and the store is nicely organized, but the reason I rate it a two is for three reasons. First the parking lot is way too small for the amount of service they do, second the selection is way too small because of building size. They cater to quilting people and lack in clothing making fabrics. Its really odd because I always see a lot of people who are coming in for clothing making stuff. They really need a bigger place with a bigger parking lot.

I tried ordering an item online, and at checkout it said there was a problem with my payment. So I re-entered my payment information again and got the same message. So I called my bank to find out what was wrong, and they told me the transaction had been approved for payment twice. So I called JoAnnes to cancel the second transaction, and was told they couldnt help me unless I had an order number which I couldnt give them since according to their website (and no confirmation email) it wasnt approved.

Its got what you would expect. They have been in this location for years...As long as I can remember and Everytime my wife and I go here the parking lot is over flowing and the store is packed. While maybe a good problem to have for the business it makes for a crowded and uncomfortable shopping experience. Avoid on weekends for sure. Even though its practically a historical site, wish they would relocate so they could have a larger interior and parking lot.

Clean, organized, wonderful coupons and sales. You can find a very wide variety of things for your house. It isnt just crafts, or sewing. They have great sales on decorations and you might just get a great idea for a craft project! This place is the best craft store, household decorating and party planning store. Oh! And you can find the good stuff like material for quilters, cross stitch supplies, paints, you name it!

My sister and I went there with my nephews. We spent a good 20 minutes waiting for our number to be called. We went up to the counter and got turned away because our number wasnt 75, when we were 76. 75 never came. Another set of people, got their number and kept going back and forth for different fabric. Their people are nice and friendly, but they were clearly not interested in respecting their customer or their time.

Fairly small store with some interesting "stuff"... but watch those prices! If its not on sale, its WAY over-priced!! $hit, a thing of tic-tacs cost $2!!!! Also, Ive NEVER once been asked if I needed any help while shopping here. With so many online options for crafting supplies, I could only rec. someone come here if they absolutely needed something same day... and only if Walmart didnt carry whatever they needed.

Store was out of a pattern for months. When I asked if they could please order it for me they said no. I called them and got the 800 number for the Simplicity main office, got very nice ladies on the phone who could not believe Jo-Anns would not order the pattern for me and within 5 minutes the order was made for the store ....by me.

Great selection on fabrics and crafts. Did have an issue with some quilting fabrics stretching after being washed. But its the best selection of colors and patterns in town.
