I went through the exact same situation as Nadine. The ATT employee who "helped me" told me as well that it was a Samsung promo, get a free LG tablet. He never mention that I would have to sign a 2 year contract that required me to pay for a monthly data plan. He also failed to tell me that I had to pay for a new line - another $15! Add to the tax mix the fact that although the tablet is free, you still have to pay the taxes on it. Oh yeah, and then they hit you with a $40 activation fee. My opinion concerning the "Activation Fee" is shared by every current and FORMER ATT customer I know. I often feel like I have been sucker punched by a company I have been a loyal customer for many years; recommending ATT to family and friends. I have discovered that ATT will do what ever is necessary to covertly "OVER - BILL" its customers with ridiculous Fees, as well as over charging customers for devices they sell on line and in the store. For example, the Samsung S5 Active hit the market in February of 2014 i believe. That summer I researched several phones. I found the Samsung S5 Active to be superior concerning the features I wanted in my next phone. The phone could be purchased by agreeing to a 30 month payment plan @ about $22 per month. the device was too expensive for me at the time being disabled & on a fixed income. I had to resigned not to purchase it. Now, fast forward to February 2015. I dropped my 3 year old HTC in the toilet. I hoped that the price of the S5 would have dropped after being on the market for a year. It didnt. I told the ATT employee about my plight with the HTC. I told him I was on a fixed income and only had enough money to pay the taxes for the phone. He kept saying, "dont worry, well take good care of you!". I believed him because I was clear about my situation and there should have not been any misunderstandings. Next thing I know hes pitching the free tablet. I had just aquired WiFi and the tablet was just what I needed (never having one before). After he got the phone and the tablet, he began to load me up with accessories. I again reminded him that I only had $70 for the tax, and once again he said, "dont worry honey, well take care of you!" 5 minutes later he told me I owed him $250 for the accessories and prompted me to borrow money from my son who was waiting in the in the car for me. Been with ATT For 11 years and I am tired of the company ripping me off and Im tired of the stores ripping me off. I need to be treated like the good & loyal customer I am or I will divorce you, ATT, & never look back!

Certainly not location specific here.. I never had any problems w this company, was very satisfied. If there was ever anything off w my bill they would always fix it no problem.. Until you try to cancel your account.. Nothing against at&t. At the time, my partner and I were consolidating bills so I went w his provider to save money. I had talked to 4 different reps on the customer service line all of which were not on the same page about how to pay off my installment plan AND cancel my tablet contract at the same time. Each of these reps told me I would only have to pay the early termination ($67) on my tablet because I paid off my installment on my phone already. $204 and an hour on the phone later gets at&t only 2 stars. Probably wont ever use at&t again, or recommend them.

We have never had such horrible service. We understand the need for the line up on the board, what we do not understand is why people who came in after us got helped before us, when their name was after our on the board. Larry and the intake girl were the worst. Neither of them let us know that they were going to help another and it would be just a moment. Instead Larry chose to help someone else, and when I tried to talk ith the intake girl, she started wouldnt let me finish my concerns, raised her voice, and told me i was wrong. You all just lost 2 really good customers.

We came here for new phones & they told us we could have a free tablet & watch with them. We were told it was a Samsung promotion & totally free. Well i got my bill a month later & they had added phone numbers & all of the activation fees & monthly charges for both the "free items". If told truthfully we would have just declined. Underhanded business practices here. We had to waste a day on the phone and another day at the store to get all the charges removed and return our "free" tablet. Just make the drive to the lake Stevens store, way better business there.

I could see why others are saying bad customer service. I called and it wasnt too hard to find out why. The lady on the line wasnt professional at all saying "yap", "no". Come on. Train your employees! She should be saying "no, i am sorry" "you are welcome". When I said thank you all she said was "yep" then hung up...really? This is a corporate store meaning all the employees should be well trained.

They added extra things to my account that I didnt agree to and reading other reviews I see that they did it to other people too. YOU DIDNT GET ME! I just imagine how many people they have scammed with this dirty trick. Shame on you!
