I had loved and promoted Edwards products for 18 years, but the ham purchased at their Williamsburg store for Thanksgiving must have been a fluke because it was so poor we threw it out. Store guarantee requires the ham to be returned within two weeks - we are 75 miles from the store so that is a poor option. Catalog guarantee is refund or replacement for any reason, but only if ordered from catalog or on-line. Two letters to Sam Edwards have generated absolutely no reply. I know it will not hurt their bottom line, but their absolute disregard for a long-time customer has turned me against Edwards products.

BUT... On pre-orders double check to see if you have everything you paid for. Really bad experience this year for the first time in over ten years. And, they will not accommodate a same day mailing. Im having to hit the road to travel 90 miles round trip to fix this mistake. GRRR! To add insult to injury the first salesperson I spoke to on the telephone suggested I really did have the product in my possession (p.s.- I dont steal).

Excellent ham and other treats! If you are a ham aficionado this is a place you will definitely want to visit. I do miss the old store though! I had visited it many times and it was another of the places in Williamsburg that has been lost down through the years.

Been ordering their bacon slabs forever (about 25 years to me that IS forever). Simply the best Ive had. Makes commercial bacon look silly. Their Surryano ham is also superb, and the rest aint too shabby either

My Dad was raised with home cured ham. He now will eat nothing but Edwards ham. Mom called last night from Gloucester and said they were out and could I bring some more. Headed to the store this morning.
