It was a very busy day at Giant as the area had just experienced the largest snow fall at one time in history. Another storm of 10 - 20 inches was on the way and the store was very crowded and people were busily rushing to get their storm goods, head for home and hunker down. Kim, who was servicing the floral department was asked to create a flower arrangement as if it were for her. Kim made a beautiful bouquet as if I were the only person in the store. She is to be commended for her patience and creativity that was to help me share my expression of love to my wife. I am a minister and I know how difficult individuals can become when they are under pressure. Kim displayed an unusual high level of concern to meet my wishes. Kim is to be commended for her demonstration of kindness while serving the public. Her 22 years of serving humanity has not diminished her exceptional and cheerful presentation to the public at large. Kim, you are a to be commended for the manner in which you represent Giant Food. I am sick of Giant eliminating products I use regularly. It happened again when I went there tonight. Customer Service blames it on roving teams and the vendors. Im sorry but a grocery store should take a little more responsibility to think about the products they carry. I know you are a business and have to stock what sells, but you are also a business that serves customers. When customers are annoyed enough that they dont want to come back, you have a problem. Think! If there is no substitute for a product, you should keep it on the shelves even if you dont sell a lot of it. Instead you keep endless versions of the same thing. It doesnt make sense to me. I, for one, am annoyed enough to stop at other grocery stores further from home whenever I can. Unfortunately, you are the closest to home, so you will still get my "I need something quickly" business, but you are losing me as a customer the rest of the time.

Its extremely difficult to find things in the store because items are being frequently moved among the aisles. And the aisle directories have not been updated nor has the one page directory available at the customer service desk. Clerk at the customer service desk didnt know where items had been moved to. I didnt see any signs on the shelves indicating where items have been moved. How are customers expected to find items? Apparently were supposed to go up and down every aisle to find the items were looking for. This is no way to keep customers satisfied. I will shopping at Wegmans when it opens.

This store always seems to be under-stocked. Lots of empty spots on shelves. The staff is consistently inattentive at the front of the store while the folks working at the deli, produce, meat and other departments will ask you if you need help. Peapod pick up seems to be a surprise to them, its not cool to feel like youre a pest. This store is rarely overwhelmed with people even in the busiest shopping times since it is tucked away in Elkridge. The produce selection isnt reliable - how can there be no potatoes? The store does grocery shopping standardly ok, nothing great or horrible.

The Bakery of "I Cant". Worst customer service! I asked for black and blue frosted cupcakes with the icing blended. What I received was 1 doz of blue and 1 doz of black cupcakes. When asked why it couldnt be done the way I ordered I was told "I cant" ice two different colors on one cupcake. What she meant was she was too lazy to put one color on one side of the icing bag and one color on the other and do it the proper way it was ordered. I proceeded to come home, remove the icing and just do it myself. My patience with this store and their attitudes is running thin!

This Giant is always well stocked and clean but in the past mth I have purchased four different items at different times only to get home and realize they have already expired. They need to do a better Job checking their dates on food and get that expired food off the shelves. So make sure you check your dates before you purchase.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the goods are decently priced, and the store is clean. Face it, no place is as cheap overall as Wal-Mart, but I usually opt out of the "Wal-Mart experience" and go where I get treated like a human by humans instead of being treated like a dog by dogs.

This place doesnt have a single cashier only self serve lanes. I spent a half hour looking lime a moron trying to look up my produce on a computer screen to pay. Maybe Im old fashioned but If Im paying for something I expect someone to ring it up and put it in a damn bag.

I have to give a huge shout out to Liz in the floral department. She made a last minute wedding bouquet although I didnt give the proper 24hr. notice. As the mother of the bride, I could not be more appreciative. Truly customer service at its BEST! Thanks Liz!

Very poor service and under staffed. Always long lines at check out. If you ask them to open more check out lane you are told they we do not have the staff. So why not have the stocking dept send someone out to do some bagging? Or the manager jump in?

A great supermarket with great prices. Id much prefer shopping here than anything close to a Walmart or Kmart. Unfortunately you can only find these in the Maryland and Virginia area.

They just added a bullpen if tiny self checkout registers. Not one cashier was opened. I had to try to checkout 160.00+ dollars in groceries on a tiny space. I am done with them!

Plenty of parking, well laid-out stock, clean interior, and reasonable prices. Does not have the best selection if meats (quality is fine, just minimal variety).

Nice store, but they need employees badly esp there salad bar dept. If you know anyone that needs a good job tell them to apply. Good benefits and pay is weekly
