I have been going to this store on and off since moving here. Yes, I think they are overpriced as it seems a lot of people do since a lot of their items are marked down. Today, I saw two identical JMS t-shirts...same color, same size different prices. I got one they had priced at $6.98 marked down to $3.98 and the other very same shirt was $9.98. About two weeks ago I bought 3 of these identical, except for colors, shirts at Walmart for the regular price of $6.76 each. Duh? Personally I dont find it any better than most of the thrift stores in the area. A great many of the staff are rude and they all seem to be pretty good at passing the blame. Price gauging at a thrift store...sad statement.

This is definitely a great thrift store. Its huge, has so much stuff here and the prices are decent. However, I would recommend checking the sizes on jeans before buying them. They mark them on the price tags, but the sizes arent always accurate. They dont ACTUALLY look inside the jeans to get the correct size. They measure them with a ruler. I purchased a pair of jeans for my husband and he didnt fit them because they were marked with the wrong size. I asked if I could exchange or get store credit as this may have been an isolated incident. Ive been shopping here for years and this has never happened. NOPE! NO REFUNDS. NO EXCHANGES. NO EXCEPTIONS. Theyve lost my business for a long while.

Used to go all the time. Its a big store and you can spend some time in there. The pros - big selection. The cons - over priced - pricers dont have a clue. Some items are from the dollar store and they will charge $5 or more. Some items have the original tags and they price close to or more. They price average clothing lines as if they were designer brands. There are no dressing rooms and just one mirror. You can get better deals on clothing at Burlington, TJ Maxx or Macys if you buy on sale. Prices were getting ridiculous for a thrift store so I stopped going. They are still in business so someones buying. For a little more, I can buy new. I may try again one day.

Clothing items are marked a little higher than most thrift stores, but the do have a lot of gems if you look hard enough. Bad experiences with their electronic items and return policy, so be SURE before you buy. Furniture prices are great, BUT my biggest peeve is they will NOT help you in any way to load your item into your vehicle. Quite a task for a woman alone that hadnt been warned of this policy. Threw out my back loading a real wood side bar while the staff just watched. I understand that its most probably for insurance reasons, but I would GLADLY buy more, sign a liability waiver, and tip the guy that helped if they would offer this service.

Customer service is non existent here. They would rather you walk out not buying anything than for them to do anything to make a situation better. They are doing YOU a favor letting you shop there. There are NO DISCOUNT days and absolutely no forms of customer appreciation. They forget to price it... dont plan on buying it bc they will not sell it to you. They have an Invicta watch for sale that you can buy online NEW with 5 year warranty...theres is priced higher complete with sweat marks included around the wrist ;) how nice

I want to start out by saying, this is one of my favorite thrift stores in the area. With that said, this store is absolutely overpriced. The staff sucks, and have told me multiple times upon checking out how bad the management is (without asking, they will just tell you at the register while checking out). Still, their selection is decent and it is busy enough that there are always new items to choose from. With a little work on their employees and pricing, this place could be the best thrift store!

I have been to every thrift store in the Hampton Roads and they are way over priced. And its for items that are received for free! Some clothing I see can be bought in store for almost the same price! No discount days! What an rip off. I really wanted a shirt but the tag fell off... cashier couldnt sell it... "her hands are tied". I wont be shopping at this thrift store again!

Great store, staff a lil snobby but still will help you.Reuturn policy and care taken to NOT sell damaged items is the biggest problem.Other then those expected issues with this type of store, its a nice LARGE area filled with all sorts of goodies from nice clothes, jewlerly, electronics, and so much more.Your gonna walk in for a few minutes and end up spending a hour there!

They generally have a lot of items but they are overpriced. The staff wasnt very friendly this morning. I was there at opening looking for a particular item. The employee walked by me and didnt say a word. The second time I said good morning and still no response. I stopped going because of the prices but needed something near by. Next time Ill just go further out.

My 3 years chose a toy, and on our way to the cashiers desk he accidentally ripped off the price tag... We werent allowed to buy his so loved toy, despite my explanations, and he was heartbroken... We should come back the next morning, with no guarantee that the item would still be available... I dont like their policy !

I have a great time in this store. No, it is not dirt cheap, but they do take markdowns as items age there. I often take home designer clothing with the tags still on it; tag says $155., I paid $10-25. I get lots of compliments for my thrifty wardrobe. Good volume of items, new stuff rolled out during the week.

Would get more stars if they had a public restroom. Items somewhat pricey for a thrift store. Staff not able to make decisions if items are not priced...must be put back to be priced and cannot be held for anyone. Not customer friendly..."store policy"...staff just stocking and checkout robots.

A busy store any time I visit. I dont find the quality of items to be the greatest if you are looking for something other than clothes. Usually a little disorganized but the staff always seems to be on the sales floor getting things in order. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

This store is clean, items are nice but a bit over priced. Sometimes I see the prices are very close to what you would pay for the item at new. It is true that if the item is not priced you have to wait until the pricing staff are there and wait to see it on the floor again.

I just spent over an hour shopping, only to be told that they would not process my over $60.00 order because I didnt have my ID on my to use my DEBIT card. A debit card that I have a PIN number for. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
