If you like subpar gas station drip coffee that is $4 a cup with a "cool" Hawaiian feel and slightly rude employees then you will love this place. Notice: I did not try any of there food. *coffee snobs stay away! If you are used to v60s and a wide variety of brewing methods I would highly recommend not coming here, even starbucks will do a French press or a pour over. For one, there is no way this is 100% Kona Coffee, although the prices would suggest otherwise. I have been drinking coffee a long time and have tried a ton of different coffees, actual 100% Kona from Hawaii being one, and I know what good coffee is and this is not Kona! And if by some chance it is legit coffee from Hawaii then this place is doing this coffee a severe disservice by not know how to brew it properly. Heres my suggestion: if you are selling actual, pure Kona Coffee from Hawaii, which is stupid expensive ( as their prices would echo) than you doing it a HUGE disservice by only selling it as drip coffee and not evening doing that well. You should be offering at least the v60 method of brewing so people can actually taste the awesome flavors of the coffee and not just burnt coffee that tastes like coffee from a gas station. Being somewhat of a coffee snob and having visited some very prestigious coffee shops, the fact that they only offer the drip method of brewing coffee is Kona is a huge red flag that they are over charging people for fake Kona or they legitimately have no idea how to handle coffee that is almost $100 a pound. In my opinion this is just a tourist trap for people who think they know what good coffee is and maybe that works, maybe its cool, but definitely not a place for someone who even has a clue about good coffee. Bottom line: Coffee snobs enter at your own risk, everyone else enjoy the coffee, the tacky/slightly cool environment and the food.

The name is appealing and catchy! Does it live up to it? Well, its cozy and has character. Although they have lots of tasty-looking baked goods, the menu is very limited for a breakfast place, and the coffee isnt organic (and its not self-serve, they fill it for you behind the counter). Food-wise, I ordered the "Power Gyro" and it was good... if a little skimpy on the greens. Its a pretty small place, which they make good use of, but I dont think you can comfortably sit more than 2 or 3 people at any of the tables. Aesthetically its enjoyable, with cool original paintings on the walls. Its a bit loud when the specialty machines are going — I noticed our party kinda had to shout a bit at times, which was interesting at 9 am. Its very much a "take your order at the counter and call your name" kind of place, not a "have a seat and well take care of you" place. So I found it a lot more impersonal than Java Surf, which is just down the street and I would recommend above this. Plus youre welcome refill a to-go cup of coffee yourself there!

This was my first visit. I looked Looked it up online, contacted them via message on Facebook and had a reply in under 30 seconds! Impressive. When I walked in it took a little investigating to figure out how things work, but not much. I LOVE that that serve breakfast items all day and that was why I went in the first place. I ordered a custom breakfast bowl and it was both delicious and satisfying. Try the Speedys Citrus Jalepeno Sauce on the eggs and be ready to be pleasantly surprised. The decaf is a medium roast, just the way I like it and very fresh. Service was great from taking my order to receiving my meal. Definitely be back. Give them a try.

Très grand choix de boissons originales, toutes disponibles chaudes, sur glace ou en "slush". service très amical. Promotions tous les jours. Faire abstraction de lodeur de moisi de létablissement qui semble avoir un problème dhumidité.

Cool, eclectic vibe. Staff very friendly - seemed to know everyone who came through the doors. The "Tropical Blast" (fresh fruit, granola and yogurt) was awesome - best Ive ever had. The coffee left something to be desired. Among other reviewers, it looks like Im the exception. But I didnt care for the iced coffee at all - strange aftertaste that I couldnt quite put my finger on ...

Love this place! Staff is very friendly, shop is so clean and there are so many varieties of coffee and fruit smoothies and bowls to try! They also have weekly specials listed daily of buy one get ones and so on. The atmosphere of the place is very beachy and laidback, definitely worth the stop! Cute graffiti wall art if you walk a little past the shop.

I love this place! It stays busy for a reason. The coffee is great. They have Paleo food options and are able to accommodate most diets. My friend & I stayed for quite a while, catching up, and they let us (some places will ask you to leave to free up the table). Every time Ive been here, its been a good experience, or better.

This is a fun little coffee shop with a Hawaiian theme. I have only gone here in the morning but I believe they also serve lunch. They have a specialty coffee menu which is great if youre up for trying something new. They also have hot chocolate for the kids and simple breakfast entrees like breakfast wraps and baked goods.

My first time with a friend and our little girls was great. The staff were very fun and humorous and made the perfect cup of hot chocolate fit for a toddler. I had the "secret" coffee of the day with their oatmeal cranberry cookie...It was AMAZING! I would definitely go back and recommend to others.

My husband and I met at this lovely little cafe. We used to visit as often as the mailman. . .alas, since moving to the Peninsula we dont get there as often. Simply not to be missed if you find yourself in VA Beach. Charming, warm and friendly little haven, and the best java around.

Of course they have other offerings besides Sherpa Coffee here. They also feature the ubiquitous pour overs, espresso classics, and savory latkes and breakfast pastries. With a friendly staff as well, its a no-brainer destination to start your day if you reside in the neighborhood.

The best coffee place around! So many different options for flavors, and you cannchoose to have your coffee frozen (like a Frappuccino) Iced, or Hot, for any flavor they offer. The sweet treats never fail to dissapoint. However, their breakfast is only okay.

Granted the place is a little small, but I think it adds to the overall atmosphere. I had a Mac wrap and that is one if the tastiest things Ive ever eaten. The coffee was amazing and the staff very helpful and prompt. Id recommend this place to anyone.

Friendly staff, lots of great specialty coffee options (including sugar and fat free), and the roasted veggie wrap with egg was PHENOMENAL. Very nice seating options as well, cozy as a local coffee joint should be!
