Close to the worst experience Ive had as a customer. If you like to spend your personal time doing the jobs of the store employees though maybe this is the place for you. I recently got a discount coupon for Home Depot and decided to give this store a visit to purchase some power tools and building materials. My shopping experience was about average (with some highs and lows) until it was time to checkout. After giving the coupon to the cashier and reminding her near the end of the transaction, she forgot to use it, but mistakes happen. I checked my receipt in the car and noticed the discrepancy so I went back in to the service desk to get it fixed. With no one online before me it took over 45 minutes to get the transaction adjusted. At first I was told I could only get store credit. So even though it was their mistake, I was supposed to go out of pocket over $50 and be bound to still spend it at Home Depot. I argued and the service rep relented, and began the return. This included: multiple trips across the store to the original register; four attempts to refund or re-tender the transaction that failed; and one attempt where the service rep needed me to read (and often reread) him every barcode on the receipt (around 50 items). After our third time going through the receipt we still werent done because that was apparently still the return. Then we had to do it all over for the repurchase. I left the store an hour after I originally left the store. The last straw was the store manager. I called a few minutes after returning home to try and get to the bottom of this. I expressed my concern about the process and she said shed look into. I then asked "why I should risk another visit and do business with you again." To which she simply said "give us another chance." I reiterated that I spent almost an hour of my time fixing her employees mistakes, why would I return? To which she said all I can do is invite you back, what else do you want. I think she effectively invited me to shop at lowes and ace.

I went to cabinet department today for a design and estimate I asked someone to introduce me to coordinate for our kitchen and cabinet project one guy introduced me one lady said design consultant(name is Jan Ezzedine) She looked like very stressful and didnt want to guide us what to do and her sound like very rude and unrespectful on customer also she kept saying to us we stock cabinets behind here, you can go choose what you need which sounded like I dont care you guys I asked few times that I need you to help to have my kitchen design coordination and recommendation she just told me It is appointment only service that she cant do that now but I dont see anyone is around her to work with at the moment After this happening I just felt unhappy and uncomfortable then I just headed out to lowes compare to home-depot service, lowes kitchen project specialist was so professional and very kind to me even if I just walked in and shyly asked him he looked very happy to guide me and gave me a lot of info how to start and finish whole step of kitchen remodeling and design guidance too he explained me every single items detail and why I need it and why it is better and all the small details that i can understand easily. I personally still dont know how much money I can save from home depot and how much better items they stocked but They Definitely need to do hard training for customer service I probably can save some money from home depot or probably not I will never go back to this store especially this lady for my kitchen project. hope at least this branch manager needs to hire right person in right position

Disorganized and unprofessional. I placed an order online and received notification that it was ready for pickup at this store. Upon arrival I found that they had gotten the order completely incorrect. No big deal, stuff happens. I wait twenty minutes while they look for the items I ordered, only to be told that they are not in the store. (Despite looking directly at the website with the associate that showed that there were seven in stock.) I asked for a refund. I wait another twenty minutes only to be told that something is wrong with their system and that it cannot be processed at this time. (No communication at all during the twenty or so minutes I was waiting for the refund to be processed either.) The associate then tells me that it will take another fifteen minutes for the system to reboot for them to try the refund again. I gave her my phone number and she insisted that they would call back within fifteen minutes to confirm that the refund has been processed. I never received a call and two days later I still do not have a refund after having wasted almost an hour at this store for nothing. I have been trying to call the store these past two days and have not been able to reach anyone who can help me either. I have been a longtime customer and asked at the store if I could get a small gift certificate in compensation for this mix-up but that suggestion was completely dismissed. I will be taking my business elsewhere to somewhere that values its customers.

I purchased cabinets through Home Depot. I had to change consultants twice due to unprofessionalism. After providing perfect measurements to the designer, we were inundated by a couple errors. The most egregious being a miscalculation on a counter top extension. The designer provided with those dimensions based on the dimensions of the space and cabinet piece. Only the designer knew the cabinet dimension so I relied on her to provide accurate numbers. The stone was cut too wide based on the dimensions provided. The Home Depot store manager insisted that they are not liable for this mistake since Home services were not used to install everything and I even got the response that I did not provide our existing counter top numbers. A bold-faced lie. We also had a cabinet that was too wide. In addition to the failures by Home Depot, we had numerous quality issues with American Woodmark cabinets. Their customer service and representative response was deplorable. Back and forth trying to get them to replace flawed or damaged pieces. Home Depot has to initiate everything with Woodmark which they failed at miserably. We spent around $12,000 at Home Depot in the past 3 months and feel very dissatisfied. Makes me want to boycott them and shop at their competitor even though they are much farther away. My suggestion to anyone looking to buy a kitchen. Look to a professional kitchen and bath company as you will potentially run into problems with Home Depot.

Husband and I ordered a sliding patio door online. Received notification that it arrived at the store so my husband went to the store to pick up the door. It took the sales associate half an hour to get the door to him and he could audibly hear another associate refuse to help my husband load the door. This was a 60"x 80" door. Someone finally helps him load it onto a cart and as he is wheeling it out he checks the box and finds a huge hole in the side and a gash in the door. He returns to the store asking if the associate if she planned on letting him exit the store with a damaged product. Her response was not professional and although she attempted to redo the order for us, we received a call today from another associate stating that they actually could not reorder the door for us since we purchased it online and not in person. Once our money has been refunded, we are going to Lowes.
