If you notice the people leaving bad reviews are only complaining about the customer service and the Jewelry. I will say the jewelry in tattoo shops are more expensive because they are the best quality. If you want something cheap go to Hot Topic or Spencers. If you know anything about piercings or have any knowledge about them then you shouldnt be complaining about the price of them. On the customer service side.... I was treated nice. But I also knew what I wanted and went right up to the front desk. If youre just going in to browse around you most likely wont get a "Hi." Think about it.... this is a tattoo shop in the mall. They get a ton of just casual people browsing and walking in and out all day not looking to get anything. But anyway.... I went for a tattoo. I wanted some of my favorite song lyrics tattooed on my upper arm. I had went to a previous shop and they wouldnt even think about doing it. They took one look, saw it was lettering and was like "yeah, no Im not interested in doing it." I called River City to see if someone there could do it and they did it the same day and I have no complaints about how it turned out. :)

Very poor customer service. I walked in with my wife and we were wanting to get info about a tattoo that we wanted. Ive never had a tattoo so I was trying to get help with exactly what I wanted and he was little to no help. Didnt offer ideas of any kind. My wife knew exactly what she wanted. She was ready to get it done then and he made us feel like an imposition. I am in a service industry myself and can relate to how you should make a customer feel. Your customer should feel wanted and like they are the only person in the world. We felt like we were interrupting his slow time and he didnt want to be bothered. We did have our kids with us but I was going to walk around with them while she got tattooed. He kept looking at the kids and saying we could schedule for another day. I would never turn business away, I would communicate with my customer so they know what would be best. I will be taking my business elsewhere, a place that will make me feel welcome, especially not knowing exactly what to ask for because I am new to tattoos.

about a year ago i stopped in to see their nose jewelry. the lady up front was curling her friends hair. the girl was about 19-24. i asked the price of her nose studs and she said 15$ for one. i asked why are they so expensive i could get a pack of twelve at spencers for 7$ and the girl literally said "well then why dont you". i was expecting her to explain somethinh like its surgical steel but no. so i told the person i was with (an adult older than them) and they walked in and asked for the manager. imagine that it was the friend. she said well the way your friend talked to her was very bratty.... NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER GOING TO ANY RIVERCITY. even the other stores (zumiez) there said people always complain about them being rude but nobody fires the employees.

I went here on News Year eve to get a piercing. I was greeted by a very friendly employee who answered all my questions. The person who did my piercing was Kelley she was very friendly knowledgeable and over all just great at her job. She made the whole experience fun and relaxed. I did not have any problems with infections and Kelley told me that if I had any questions or concerns to feel free to call and ask or come in and get it checked out. I would highly recommend River City to anyone looking to get a piercing as.

I went in hoping to get a piercing done, when I walked in the old guy behind the counter just looked at me, no greeting or anything. Then I was looking at the jewlery that I wanted, still not a word from him. I waited about 10 minutes till I got fed up and left. This is not an inviting place nor will I ever go back. I really dont think Ive had that bad of customer service before and Im not that hard to please! I just think if you are going to spend money somewhere you shouldnt beg for help.

You have to walk in tell them what you want and be firm about it. You just cant walk in and except them to help you if nobody is there call from the back its not that hard. I agree they are slow and a little over priced but if you are firm with them they will get you want you want. going there tomorrow to get a new rook percing the lady fixed my rook when I was stupid and was. Dry helpful thank you !!

just like the person below me i walked in , the lady was talking to her friend i guess & she didnt even look at me . i looked at the jewelry for a couple mins she didnt ask me if i needed anything at all . im glad i didnt get anything anyways , my friend got her nose peirced there & it got really badly infected . morale - terrible service !!!

Just walked in with my husband and was immediately greeted and sent to the back to talk to Germ. He had great insight and suggestions, spent about 20 min designing my tat from a pic I brought and one my husband already had, and did a great job on the final product. He was friendly, knowledgable and fairly priced. Will see him again for the next one.

Went there to just get a new nose ring put in. Now my nose is badly infected and it took her 30 minutes messing with my nose to get it in. Its been 4 days and the nose ring it turning black. Will never go back again!

The girl at the front desk was incredibly rude. When asking questions she said you cant do that. Told me not to touch my face/piercing. She needs to learn how to talk to people.

Over priced n a monopoly try to take out all the small shops...plus sat on dpor boardc...now just a consultant....crooked...make sure to see license before you get work there...
