I received my piercing from a talented piercer at the chesterfield towne center location. No complaints there. However a few days later when I called to ask a question about the healing process and RCTs piercing polices the level of disrespect was shocking. I called the boulevard location and the girl answering the phone had no knowledge of the subject i was asking about....again, completely understandable. However she claimed there was no manager available for me to speak with and the piercer on staff was busy. I stressed it was very important for the piercer to call me back and that I would really like to speak with someone. Constance was the piercer on staff and she never returned my phone call. This is highly unprofessional and is a complete disregard for my concerns. When I got pierced they said to call if I had any problems or concerns. What a joke!!! These people dont care for their clients and will not call you back!!! Just a warning.

I do not know what they are like as a tattoo shop but I went there to purchase a stud for my nose piercing. The gentleman who helped me was very nice and answered my questions. I chose a stud but wanted a clear stone as opposed to the colored stones in the same style. He said that we would check in the back. When he came out the stud was already in the autoclave bag and sealed and I was told that this was the clear stud. He told me that I would be able to return it only if the bag was sealed. When I got home and opened the bag, I found that they simply gouged out the colored stone to make the stud appear clear and sold it to me. I had to open the bag to realize that there was no stone there and because I did, I cannot return it. I am sorry, but this is absolute thievery and I would never shop here again. I am so upset by these intentionally deceptive practices.

PLEASE DO NOT go to the River City Tattoo located down off the Boulevard in Richmond. They are very deceptive with their hourly rate. They quote $120 an hour. They finished up with my work in 30 minutes but charged me the full hourly rate. The tattoo was simple, merely 6 words at a size 18 font. They said they would not budge on the price. If you do go to have work done there, be sure to negotiate down your price as much as you can up front and time the artist from the beginning to end as they complete your tattoo. They have signs all over the parlor that encourages tipping. Be sure to write "tip included in price" when you sign your receipt because they drastically overcharge. There are so many other tattoo shops that do great work and have reasonable rates. Please please please shop around before you decide on going to RIVER CITY TATTOO OFF BOULEVARD

I got my first tattoo at the Boulevard location this weekend and could not be more pleased. The cleanliness and care taken in the preparation process was evident. I was walked through what to expect and proper after care was thoroughly explained. My husband and I received matching tattoos but different in scale and placement- Ashley our artist gave me great advice on how I originally wanted it done and I could not be happier. The artists do not accept cards as payment so make sure to bring cash although they do have an ATM on site. I recommend looking through the artists portfolios before sitting down with someone to make sure you like their style. Ashley has a strong background in black ink and clean lines!

I wanted to get a tattoo here because a friend of mine had been tattooed there like a year ago and was very happy with hers. I could barely get anybody to talk to me about my tattoo, I didnt want to get something off-the-wall, I wanted something custom. I wouldve understood having to wait to get someone to talk to me if it was busy, but it wasnt busy! There was one other customer in there and they were talking about jewelry with the piercer. When a sloppy fatman finally came out to talk to me he seemed uninterested in tattooing me and he smelled bad so I left. Im not going to give my hard earned money to someone who doesnt want to bathe or tattoo me.

After piercing my lip elsewhere and having issues with it, I came to River City specifically to see Luna who is APP certified. My original piercer was unhelpful but Luna was very professional and patient. She answered all my questions thoroughly and I felt she gave me as much information as possible. While the jewelry was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it for the quality metal I received. After visiting Luna, my lip issue subsided. I am very pleased with my experience at River City and would recommend this shop to others looking for reliable advice and piercing.

Very disappointed our artist Ashley didnt give us a price before she did our tattoos even smarter asking several times. If I could post pics I would like not consistent a lot of running . Very did a pointed 100.00 me and my daughter that was 200 for a 50.00 tattoo. I will never return and I will advise everyone I know that this place is very very expensive and scanning at least. I have left messages (2) for t he owner to call and I have not received a call .

I havent been there to get anything done to myself, but I went with my cousin when she got her belly button pierced. The employees seemed very friendly and the business overall was very professional. All employees seemed like they had great knowledge on doing piercings and tattoos. I am considering going here to get my belly button pierced because I was very impressed with how well they did my cousins piercing.

River city tattoo was th place I went to with my idea for a full sleeve. When Max, the tattoo artist, heard my idea, he was more excited than I was to work on the project. I knew at that point he was the one for the job. We are only half way finished, but I couldnt be more pleased. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

I got a very small tattoo. A semi-colon. I heard them making fun of me bc I wanted it to be small and hidden behind me ear. Thank god thats where it is because they messed it up. Its blown out and horrible. He took three seconds to do it and literally didnt care at all.

The friendliest place ever! They were quite the relief to walk into after the rude lucky 13 employees I will always go there and refer as many people as possible. The friendliest people who actually know what they are doing are sanitary and make you feel comfortable.

I usually go to the chesterfield town center or regency locations. But all their places are awful, clean, fair priced, and the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Only joint that Ill ever go for tattoo (Germ) and piercings (Carmela).

Came here 2 weeks ago for my 7th tattoo. I just got finished with my 8th about an hour ago. The guy up front is super nice and so are all the artists! I highly recommend Jason. Drove 2 hours to get to this shop! Definitely worth it!!
