3/11/16: I went back for a septum piercing and as expected, Jake did an awesome job with placement. Also picked up amazing jewelry for my nipple piercings and he was so patient with my indecisive self, lol. Still highly recommended. 11/16: I went yesterday for nipple piercings and as I entered the staff was very inviting and friendly. Jake answered all of my silly newbie questions and was so patient with me. I was terrified when it was time to pierce them but he was more gentle than my ex, lol. He positioned them just right, between the nipple and areola so there was no bleeding at all and minimal pain. Here it is the second day and I have no swelling. He did a GREAT job and I highly recommend him, especially if you are new and a little scared. And Im not sure why other reviews didnt like the H2O sea salt spray but it feels so good and is worth it if you dont have time to keep mixing up your own when its time for cleaning. Great to throw in your bag to clean at work. Thank you Jake!

Ive wanted a tattoo for as long as I can remember, and promised myself I would get one on my 30th birthday. 30 came and went, and I chickened out, so I promised myself I would do it at 35. 35 came and went, and I chickened out again! I walked into Heart and Soul Tattoo right after my 38th birthday and KNEW I had found the place to get my very first tattoo. The inside is BEAUTIFUL! Clean, comfortable, and inviting. Everyone there was so helpful making the decision on what I was going to get. I left that night with an appointment to come back the next day. I went home and was so excited I couldnt sleep! I went in the next day, and told them I had changed my mind....I decided I wanted two! Lauren is AMAZING...very quick and so nice with a first-timer! They hooked me up and Im crazy happy with my tattoos! Planning on going back to get more!

Kristen pierced my lip, and she didnt do a very good job. I bled and was very swollen when she pierced my lip. In addition, she gave me a very short labret stud that was not the appropriate size due to the swelling. I had to come back multiple times because she had screwed the gem on too tight and I could get it off myself. She had to use a pair of pliers to get it out. At that point, the jewelry was completely sunk into my lip. When I asked her why she didnt give me a longer bar than the standard bar she put in my lip, she said, "Uh..I didnt think you needed it." Clearly she was wrong. I just pierced my OWN lip recently and there was no bleeding, swelling, and my jewelry was the CORRECT length. Sadly, I cant say the same thing happened when I went to a "professional".

the staff is exceptionally rude. the owners are great and the shop is clean and homey. sean is a great artist, but i honestly dont know why he would stick around in a shop where none of the employees appreciate the fact that hes the only good artist there. the peircer has NO piercings, and a "holier than thou" stuck up fake attitude. i dont know about you..but i would never accept a piercer with no visable piercings. and the other countergirl is just as fake. this place needs an attitude adjustment and a complete employee overhaul. ill never go back. i found a better, more welcoming place in downtown, that is knowledgable of the industry and treats their clients well.

I took my 17 year old to get her third hole in each ear (ended up being into the cartilage), and Jake did an amazing job. He took his time to make sure he marked the spots evenly on each ear, and then he talked her through it when he actually poked the needle through. He was very thorough giving us the care instructions and told us to come back or call if we have any issues. I witnessed a woman coming in for a tattoo, and they were very friendly with her, and she seemed very relaxed. My husband and I are both thinking of getting tattoos in the future, and we plan to visit Heart & Soul for that.

The woman who did my tattoo was so rude and horrible, she charged me $120 for one smaller than my hand (i have small hands) and then she kept yelling at me when SHE messed up, i didnt move a muscle and she messed up so bad, i had to go to another place for a cover up tattoo, and she still charged me full price after messing up that bad, and said it was because it was my fault for moving, but like i said, i didnt move ive had other tattoos done at another place and they even said they were glad i didnt move at all and it was very easy, i am never going back to this place in my life

I just got my tattoo today (by Morgan) on my foot and absolutely love it! She did such a good job listening to me and working with me on what I wanted. She is very smart and knowledgeable on what she does and very professional as well as sanitary. The shop is clean and decorated nicely too. Everyone is friendly there and makes you feel at home. Tattoo shops can be intimidating but Im really comfortable here! I would highly reccomended it to everyone! Thanks Morgan you rock!

I was running a little late to my appointment (informed them in advance) but the unprofessionalism was unbelievable. My artist took 2 hours to get supplies after I got there. Then they didn't accept the online coupon or give me a discount on my ridiculously over priced tattoo. I was charged for a 2 hour outline that only took 1 hour n 15mins to basically trace a preexisting tattoo. I doubt if Ill ever go back! Unless there is any mistakes....

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! My sister referred me here. I took one of the artists orginals (large flower) and got it to cover up an old one (on my chest) You cant tell the old one was ever there. My fience was here from overseas and was very happy with our service, the cleanliness, the music, the artists and the location. You guys ROCK!!!!!

I went to Heart and Soul for a tongue piercing because I had heard amazing things about them. Sarah did my tongue piercing, and she said "mine would be really easy to do." Since the swelling has gone down, I realized my tongue piercing is crooked. Also the H2Ocean stuff is really over priced as well.

This Shop is very clean and welcoming. If you want a piercing done there is no other place to go. Kris has experience doing pretty much everything and can do them with such skill. I personally have gotten 2 genital piercings done by her and if she can do that perfectly she can do anything perfectly.

Absolutely love the work that Suzie does she has done four of my pieces and the fourth one was a cover-up that she did an amazing job with you cant even tell something was there before. I wouldnt go anywhere else I recommend her to anyone who wants to have quality work done.

Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. Very good tattoo artists. They assisted with concepts, provided candid honest feedback and advice, and I ended up with a great tattoo that I am very satisfied with. They were also very fair and even a little flexible with the price.
