This mall is expanding, renovating and adding more variety to what you can do, purchase and eat. I love the fact that there is a roof to protect you from the outside elements be it rain, sunshine beaming, extreme heat or cold. Once you are in the building you can remain one comfortable temperature and casually walk around to shop. Mall has 2 floors where often the upper level is used as a track for people wanting exercise. Great food options in the food court for meals, snacks, treats and coffee. Be prepared as some stores left the mall for various reasons, they are currently adding new stores and starting construction for the addition of a Cinema so there may be a little bit of an empty feeling but its still enough there to find some treasures. Still a good place to shop in my opinion.

Wow! This mall is a very sad place these days. This used to be the top-of-the-line mall for the Richmond area. Now it has declined so badly. One look at the parking lot and how empty it is will show you the lack of popularity of this mall. Anchor stores are still there, however the majority of the smaller stores have begun to cater to a variety of specific ethnic groups. This certainly is not bad, but it is indicative of how the mall does not have a broad appeal. It has become more of a destination for specific stores or specific purchases. It is no longer a place that a family might spend hours or a large part of the day casually shopping.

Regency is trying hard to stay relevant in the face of newer malls like short pump and stony point. They still have a few decent stores and the upgrades over the last 10 years and the planned ones coming up should help, but so far the draw just isnt as great as short pump. With the loss of Macys it took a bit of a hit recently. It still functions well as a mall for the average middle class shopper, and hopefully the plans for the future increase its draw. For me, short pump is my go to, but regency still has great deals to be found, especially if you live closer to this mall than to short pump.

This place is terrirble... My mother and I went in there to shop for jewelry during Christmas time and one of the ladies followed us around the store like criminals. I decided to let it go went in there! A second time to buy some eyeliner... That winch completely ignored us and catored to the others.... Im sure most of you can read in between the lines and know who I mean by the others If you look like me this is not a good place to shop... Go somewhere else and give your money to people who dont see you as a criminal and ignore you when youre trying to make a purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heading downhill fast. As a side note for other 2A folks, I Was asked to remove my legal firearm or leave. In spite of the fact that state law requires them to post "No Firearms" signs CONSPICUOUSLY at all entrances. "No weapons" is in fine print once you are inside the mall, so Im told, hardly conspicuous.I wasnt going to stand there for 10 minutes reading the rules of conduct. "No Smoking" is definitely conspicuously posted. Kindly obliged and informed him that I will no longer patronize them. Sadly, those with bad intentions could care less about that fine print, or any other warning.

Regency Mall has gone from one, if not the top mall in town to looking a bit desserted, like the old Cloverleaf Mall.....If youve lived in RVA long enough to know what I am referring to I am not sure why stores dont last their.... I guess everyone is into the new outdoor mall thing.... but I still enjoy a nice traditional mall.... But to be honest I just go there for the indoor play area for my kids, but if you have little ones be careful of the big ones! I also attended their Kids Club last month and it was nice, with a Mad Science guy there.

Regency is a bit played out. When we went last time, shop owners were standing outside the shops waiting on people to come in. It was a little discomforting walking around, feeling like they were staring at us. We went to the GMC and the shelves were messy, bottles were knocked over, it didnt look like anyone cared. If this mall wants to compete with Short Pump they are going to have to do a little more than put in a theater. Youll get theater traffic, but little to no actual shopping traffic.

Dont have enough stores, and they only have 3 or 4 good places to eat at, but I guess once they bring it back to life when they remodel it and bring some more stores and restaurants in it will be great. If they bring in a chipotle and a jersey mikes sub that will be a great start to excellent business for the food, and some better clothes stores like a Rainbow, Shoe City, Shoe Dept., Saks Fifth, Aldo, etc....that all be great business for the Mall.

plenty of parking and a relatively new mural on the outside, safe place to bring your family the elderly walkers making laps are taking this mall over without much competition from actual shoppers, so if you want to shop without crowds, this is your place. however, if your mood is easily effected by atmosphere, shop elsewhere dimly lit interior in some areas, vacant storefronts, limited store selection

Great to go for Charming Charlie and another Bath & Body Works. Other than that, we dont go for much. I remember when this was THE mall. Sadly, its going through a major lull. I hope that new developments come to the area to reinvigorate the community and this once awesome mall. Over the years, the area around the mall has become more low-income and areas like Short Pump and Stony Point draw more money.

Ive been here a few times and its usually pretty empty. The parking lot hardly has any car is in it. Yet somehow the mall is pretty full of stores. I think you can find pretty much what youd expect that anymore in this mall. Not too many vacant locations. And the anchors such as Macys or still there. If you are looking for the mall experience but minus the crowds this might be the place for you.

Visiting from out of town and made a stop here to shop. There is an interesting collection of chain stores and pop up shops. Was looking to pick up some basic clothing items that I forgot to pack like tank top, T-shirt, and socks. Left without getting anything. There were kids running around the main hallways without supervision. The bathrooms were not clean.

I always love the closed mall concept and Regency mall is a small to medium sized mall which had good shopping choices. It has pretty decent sized kids play area and my kids always loved it. But its dying now, Macys has moved out and may be more. May be management has to look at fresh set of new small to medium sized stores and probably more kids oriented

Its a mall! Its alive and its got a cool food court and its got vibrant stores and foot traffic! I like it because they dont make them like this anymore. Also, the mall hosts Cars & Coffee Richmond outside the food court level on alternating Saturdays before its normal opening hours, which confers it an extra degree of coolness.
