I went in the store on 7/25/13 to see about getting a loan on a dell laptop that has $450.00 worth of upgrades and a set of speakers to match the computer. I also had a complete set of Gerber knives that is brand new that i paid almost 300 dollars for. The total value of what i had is around 1400 dollars. I wanted to borrow a 125 untill the next week. I was told by a young kid who couldnt have been no more than 17 or 18 that my stuff was to old. The knife set is brand new and the computer is 2 years old. I guess you have to go buy brand new stuff so you can pawn it for a quarter of what its worth. I would not recommend anyone to go to this pawn shop. The kid and the midget were both rude and unknowledgable about merchandise. Go some where else....... these people suck............ staples mill and hillard road..

I went to the shop today to sell an item,i called ahead for an price everything went well tell i got there. The kids that work there are so rude and disrespectful.They told me to get out of there store just because i was asking why my price was so low for items that cost up to $500.00 in any store. I was only asking for 100 or so not even that and for him to say and i quote " Ok u can leave how about that". Keep in mind i only asked for a resion why the items where low and the price that i was told to have was droped below half because i did not have pics online and it was used? Even tho its a pawn shop....for used items...? In regard the items i was selling was in tip top shape. So unkind and disrespectful i will never go to this store and if you go i hope the best for u all have a great day.

Pawn shops are the best place to go for DVD collectors. Went once a few months ago. Satisfied customer-except that the clerk tried to ask me out. Not a big deal though. Went today however, and a different clerk was trending the store. He was on his phone the entire time. He was almost shouting in another language...I told him to keep it down please. He replied with "its a family issue". I asked him againa few minutes later, because I couldnt even focus on reading the back of a DVD title. Get off your phone at your job! Be professional! Be courteous! Go in the freaking back to take a call! Also, Americans hate it when you speak amongst yourselves in another language while we are trying to shop at your store. Ill never return.

National Pawn is awful..... got a loan on an item that was precious to me knowing that I would be able to get it back once I got caught up with paychecks..... I called them a day before the maturity date and asked them if they could give me ONE extra day to get over and pull it out...... I was told "yes" by the older guy. I go there that very day, and this young condescending twit tells me that, not only have they reneged on their promise, but that they couldnt even resell me the item at full price because they sent it off to be melted. Which tells me that they sent it off before its maturity date. Liars..... Thieves.....Con Artists. Dont bring anything valuable or precious....

I just came back from that place and I was very pleased. They bought several items for for what I thought was a good price and were not rude at all. One of them even called myself sir and my daughter maam the entire time-it made her smile. When he was processing everything, I asked them about what happens if they think anything is stolen because Im sure that happens often. He told me in such cases where they know it is, they refused to buy it and even recounted a recent story when they tried to keep someone inside the store til the police came. For a pawn shop, I was quite happy with the experience.

Ive done business several times there but after my recent experience I wouldnt return. I feel bad for even recommending it to friends and family. I walked in with a tablet pc I just bought a month before hand for well over $100 bucks and the kid looks at me and says no before I even could talk to him. The past two times hes been unacceptably condescending towards me in attitude. I would rather go to the Golden Goat who took the tablet, gave money and gave me a trade for a item I wanted at a price that was fair.

I consider myself to be a regular patron of National Pawn on Staples Mill. For the past few years, I have received numerous loans as well as purchased high end brand jewelry as gifts for my fiancé. In addition to National Pawns fair and competitive pricing on merchandise, National is the only shop in the Greater Richmond area that I can continually count on to be open after 6p on weekdays and after 3p on weekends. The gentleman at National Pawn have always treated myself with the utmost courtesy and respect.

They suck.Their merchandise is dirty,youll wait forever and they are rude. Go to Golden Goat theres one on chamberlayne and one on brook road they have cleaner items, and i got a good deal on my ps3 n games n comics n the people are nicer.If the people at national pawn werent so cheap when I tried to pawn my digital camera (they wanted to give me $5 for a new digital camera YEAH RIGHT!) then they would have made the $300 or so im spending these last two days at Golden Goat. Dont waste your time here.

Great place to buy sell and trade, improved a lot with the new management! Nice helpful talkative enthusiastic staff trying to make your day! Last year they didnt accept/pawned anything I got them but with the new people now they are accepting mostly anything I bring them offering very fair prices in fact they offered me the highest $ out of 3 other pawnshops in Rva, they are improving a lot you can even see the store full now

I honestly never like any pawn shops in my life because they always try to take advantage of you by giving extremely low offers. But at national pawn shop, is completely the opposite. They are very friendly and always offered me the highest $$. The staff are very nice I believe two guys working in there. The guy with accent has always been helpful and respectful. One of the times he carried my tv back to my car.

Whenever I have giftcards laying around I dont use, I ALWAYS bring them here. Michael, the owner, is one of the most personable and honest guys working in this industry. I always get a fair/great price! Ive only met one other employee, Roy, and he is cool as they come ;) Oh! I almost forgot, theyve completely renovated the store- if you havent been here in awhile, or ever, then do check them out.

The gentlemen at national pawn have always been nothing but good to me. I will always highly recomend national as my shop of choice regardless of the situation. National isnt cluttered and in disarray like every other shop ive been to. National pawn is top notch.
