Google reviews kinda sucks, because it isnt accurate. These same exact reviews can be found under three other different HD dealerships that are owned by different people. Google just pulls reviews from other websites found over the internet and jams it into one general review. You ask me (Im not a business owner) its not really fair to the business reputation when they can be talking about another place with same name. When leaving your review you should include exactly what dealership you dealt with or Google will apply it to all dealerships in the area as default. I write software and this is a common code issue with google and they get away with it because not really a way to prove if the reviewer was talking about this location or another if not specified. The software tries to find any specifics but if none listed, then it defaults to all Harley Davidson with in the area. Really Harely could sue google for damaging reputation due to inaccurate code. But thats just my .02c I have never bought or had anything serviced her, but almost bought a used bike once from this location. At the time I did I was clueless about motorcycles and never owned one before. The only thing that kept me from buying it is the lengthy wait to get into a safety class (navy requirement) and didnt want to stare at it teasing me I couldnt ride it. They were very nice there, didnt treat me like a noob because I didnt know anything and offered to help with whatever I needed to get me on a bike. Great guys, "huge" store with crazy good selection (another reason I had a hard time picking a bike, was simply overwhelmed with the different types of bikes). I did buy a bike eventually years later, just not from them (southside, but after experince that i wish i went to bayside). Prices, there a dealership, so all prices going to be high, but they will work with you on the price. Far as there service department, I cant speak from experience but i have done alot of research and talked to alot of people on very reputable forums like 1130, talk harley, hdforums .. etc. and alot of experienced riders say they are probably best "HD dealership service department" and more experienced then other dealerships in the Hampton roads area, I dont speak for privately owned motorcycle repair shops, because i have heard precision motorcycle is the top best in the area (they are always busy and backed up do their excellent service. If you dont mind sitting without your bike for a couple of weeks they are good!) five stars across the board on any review website including yelp. But thats not about this. Point is Bayside they recommend for dyno runs and performance on most HD related forums. No one ever had anything bad about about them to say and I would trust these experienced riders over some random review (that do to Google may not even be accurate) of someone that didnt get their way or probably never rode a bike in their life. I have a appointment with them to have a dyno run done on my 13 VRSCDX night rod special and will follow up once complete to give better accuracy of the dealership. Shouldnt be disappointed with their reputation on other forums.

These guys are great in every department. As soon as I walked in, their salesman Jonathan greeted me with a smile and a hand shake, then told me I can have any bike that I want. Lol. Hes a character and a great salesman. Cares a lot about his customers. Very patient and extremely knowledgeable. I just traded in my fat boy for a 16 heritage and through no fault of baysides, the transition was rough to say the least. I asked that they take my Apes off my old bike and put on the new one and they promised they would. Thing is they couldnt. Instead of screwing me, the manager Sean agreed to give me brand new apes at a minimal cost. And I do mean minimal. From there, the service department, ran by Chip, put bars on there immediately. Thing is I didnt like them. Sean and Chip didnt care that I was being difficult, they just smiled and changed them to my exact specifications. Chip called me every step of the way and gave me all the ins and outs to my new bike. He didnt make me feel dumb, treated me with intelligence, and made me laugh the whole time. I dont actually kno if he runs the service department but it seems like he should. Great customer service. Sean is the Man as well. Hes true to his word and he makes you feel like your business is important. Even called me after hours to assure that I was good. Again, a lot of unfortunate things happened when purchasing this bike that wouldve made any dealership give up on me, but not these guys. Everyone at Bayside is amazing and they all will help you. But if you have problems, you wont, ask for the three guys I mentioned. You have my word that youll be taken care of.

Some of the reviews below are hilarious! People will have their favorites, no doubt. The fact that someone had to have a refund from TWO different dealers is ironic, if not a lie. Seriously people, have some integrity. I had two very negative experiences at HD dealers (one in Honolulu, Hi where I was stationed) and the other was Southside Harley. In BOTH cases, the sales team wouldnt give me the time of day. No one wanted to talk to me about the cycles and thus, I lost interest. I went to Bayside on a sales call for my work and while I was waiting to speak with the GM, Big Dave Hunter (sales) greeted me and showed me around. I immediately explained that I was not there to buy anything and didnt even have a cycle license. He then showed me a brochure for the MSFs rider course and even introduced me to the instructor teaching a course that day. After that, he showed me around and talked to me about the different models (Sportster vs Dyna vs Softail vs Roadking, vs Ultra vs CVO). I must have spent over an hour with him. I was really impressed with his customer service. Three months later, I took the MSF course and passed. I bought a used metric bike that same day. Kelly, the Sales Manager gave me a "suck up discount" because I mentioned how pretty she was! ;-) After I bought the bike, Don (service manager) helped me figure out what a certain thingy was used for on the side of the bike (choke). I was a novice through and through-- yet, they all treated me with respect and made me feel welcome. This is MY story and MY Harley Davidson!!

After dealing with the other Harley shop in town Southside, the staff at Bayside Harley was Awesome. I made a appointment to drop my bike off and ran into some wireing issues the night I was supposed to drop it off. I fixed it that night and the next morning they still held my appointment for me. The service department staff was friendly and professional and had almost as much ink as me, I often get odd looks and differential treatment in stores wearing dickes, vans and a suicidal tendencies shirt but theese dudes were legit! They replaced my front tire, front brake rotor, pads and fixed leaking o2 sensor ports in my exhuahst and had me back on the road in a few hours. They also ensured I recived a military discount. Many of the folks that work thier are retired armed forces or prior service so they could relate to my very tight time schedule and got on the road in no time. I have a few buddies that have bought great bikes from Bayside Harley and said the service was great, they were right. They have earned a life long customer as long as I am in the area. If you are going anywhere else you are waiting your time, like I did with Southside Harley they had my bike 3 days shy of 3 months and ducked me around and around. Aint nobody got time for that!
