AVOID TERRIBLE.....Owners response admits they ripped me off. If hourly rate was $78 and part $20 why was I charged $155?. Only thing mechanics did in less than 1/2 hour was replace control box. No fuses replaced, no system diagnosis nothing else. Outrageous price to simply replace control box under spare on van that controls turn and brake signals for trailer. Never told up-front cost to do. Waited almost 2 hours before getting help.. One half hour, perhaps less, work with I assisting all the way $155. Place rents You Haul stuff and other You Haul on same street wanted only $68 for same part and labor. Glouchester location wanted only $70. Ch____, YOU GOUGED ME!. Someday your CREATOR will tell you how wrong you treated folks. A blessing not to have to deal with this place ever again...Id have to be "NUTS" to go back or to even recommend this business to others. Owners response, (thanks for), but way way off, to the point of being "BULL CRAP"..You have given U-Haul a bad rap....Highest rate posted for some special motorcycle work was $110 per hour, my fix took no more than 1/2 hour which included mechanic venturing off for 5 or 10 minutes. It would have been fair if I paid 1/2 the $110 rate plus 19.95 for part and not $155.00. Having to wait 2 1/2 hours I read all on the walls and nothing about $78 that I can remember. Even at $78 per hour, that you specify, plus part does not add up to $155. I guess you charge folks for wait time also. You say more wrong than met the eye/estimate (which Chuck never gave me), as I saw it "disconnect old and reconnect the new...in tire well..done". I stayed with my van during entire fix. You make it sound like they rewired my whole van a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country. Part used was not an exclusive U-haul part. I saw the package. Later I saw same part/same package in Walmart for $14.95. Price on part/control box you provided was $19.95 with a felt tip marker. Wonder what you had to pay for it. Im sure the type business you run you/your folks from my description of problem knew what was wrong (a common occurrence that exposed wire touching) and could have explained and sold me just the part and I could have fixed, but NO they wanted to get all they could... Vans internal wiring was not, repeat was not faulty and mechanic did not check. NO FUSES WERE REPLACED. I had checked all, all fuses and conveyed results, "none bad" to your mechanic. I pointed out, and your mechanic agreed with me, that after 13 years on the road, insulation on exposed wires had worn out and touched each other causing the control box to short/burn out. Only tools used line tester, pliers and wire cutters, nothing special. Obvious why you dont want customers close to the action, so you, your folks can gouge em more, saying what you have said, "faulty wiring, control panel, special tools, and fuse replacement". I know and saw the truth because I was there. "SCORPION ENGINEERING of NEWPORT NEWS GOUGED ME", others BEWARE. You would be rather upset if customers stole from you as you have stole from me. Perhaps those that work for you told you they did much much more than what was really done...their defenses are now up...To think a whole week expected just to replace a very easy to reach control box for turn and brake signals!!!!!!. Please, dont call me lucky/fortunate to have only waited as long as I did. I could not rent a trailer without being fixed. Mandatory, I had only one day to rent trailer. I was in travel from SW Georgia and did not have wire cutters and simple line tester that is why I ended up at your location. Sometimes the workers havent got a clue about your "business credibility" its only a job and who cares what the outside world thinks of your business. As before someday youll have the opportunity to take your "fairness to folks" up with/to the Creator...

I ordered a U-Box to be shipped from this location to Florida, had everything booked a few weeks ahead with movers, loading/unloading, etc. It was delivered by the movers to the Newport News U-Haul location (Scorpion Engineering) two weeks before the guaranteed arrival date in Florida. It truly was not a complicated order, just one (1) U-Box. When I called the Newport News office the day after it was supposed to arrive in Florida, the manager Chuck 1) had to figure out if the box was still in his warehouse and 2) blamed the ‘“freight company” for holding them up with certain restrictions. I understand if things come up like that, but a simple phone call or email notifying me about delays would have been very helpful. I guess furniture pads were supposed to be included in the U-Box when it was delivered to our apartment in NN, but there weren’t any in the storage unit. I did receive an email about receiving furniture pads in Florida where they are completely useless since our U-Box has already been packed for weeks. The fact that this location didn’t notify us about delays was just wildly unprofessional. Let me get this straight, our storage unit sat in Virginia for two weeks straight up until a day after it was supposed to be in Florida. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one was because as soon as I made multiple phone calls to the Florida & NN U-Haul as well as corporate, they expedited the unit and got it to us two days after it was supposed to arrive with a refund for the late days. Also, there wasnt a lock on the unit when it was shipped. The U-Haul driver in Florida had to put her own on it when she delivered it to our residence. There was just a plastic zip-tie and a bolt screwed into the door wedge that our movers had to struggle with to get open.

Shop is poorly managed kept my bike for 2 1/2 months to clean my carbs. I never recieved any update phone calls I had to call to check on my bike on numerous occasions and got the same BS story Ahh were working on it and were still soaking your carbs" Finally got tired of the same stories and went up to shop and saw the owner still sitting behind the old glass counter doing absolutly nothing telling war and HotRod stories. While I was up there I met another cyclist who was bringing bike back to shop for a third time for same problembecause bike was still not running correctly. When I finally recieved my bike after 2 1/2 months Hibernation...I went in garage to pick my bike up and it was like a motorcycle graveyard ..Bikes everywhere with NO organization exactly like the front of the store. I was shocked when i got my bike..Screws were missing and some not even screwed in parts..Had to get mechanic to bring tools outside..found a bolt that goes to something in my saddlebag..LED lights no longer worked and was missing fuses..Seat was put on incorrectly and Freaking fingerprints all over the chrome...And $300.00+ Dollars later...Bike still runs like crap..But at this point I wanted my bike...Due to lack of trust as a motorcycle mechanic..DO NOT ALLOW this place to fix your Motorcycle...You too will be very DISAPPOINTED. They just need to stick to renting Uhauls trailers apparently thats what there good at doing. MOTORCYCLE COMMUNITY BEWARE

customer service is poor they gave me that family feeling experience until after I paid my money and complain about my scooter... they were faking and hid their true behavior well... I paid over $336 just to have my breaks adjusted, oil change, and idle adjusted (and if a computer told them to set my bikes idle to how it is now the trash that machine) ... they didnt fix my work kick stand just told me it was bent dah thats what I sent there for... they claim my bike was put on a computer if so then why is it riding like a toy now... when I brought it back I was treated like a dummy like I didnt know a damn thing about nothing (and we got your money so why are you here) was given the "it was fine when we tested it the other day business saying it must have broken after sitting for 3 weeks and your trunk must have melted from sitting in the sun for 3 weeks"... the only thing I was dumb about was bring my bike to the shop on Warwick blvd... it was 2 weeks before I heard from them and then I was very shocked at the price for the work that they claim they did, plus it was done without giving me a choice this is going to be a long summer ... I am very angry ...this is my primary mode of transportation for school not a joy ride!
