I drove off the lot an extremely happy customer tonight!!! My first impression was good used cars for good deals. Thankfully though, I was fortunate enough to be interested in a car that had a coolant leak from the get go. My trusted mechanic pointed it out to me before I made a purchase. My "buddy" Ryan assured me it would be fixed with only a $300 nonrefundable down payment on the vehicle! To my surprise within hours Ryan told me the problem had been resolved! I was skeptical at first, but Ryan assured me several times the car was good to go. I was happy with the turnaround and ready to purchase the vehicle after checking with my trusted mechanic one more time . I was excited to be done with my car search and land a decent deal! So I took the vehicle to my mechanic who proceeded to tell me the problem still persisted. I was shocked! I called Ryan to explain the issue and he continued to contradict my reputable mechanics assessment assuring me it was fixed and not at all willing to cooperate with my mechanic. After returning the vehicle, Ryan and his manager continued to refute my mechanics credibility while also condescending to me based on my limited car knowledge. Frustrated with the hassle of dealing with a dishonest and condescending salesman and dealer, it was clear to me my business did not belong here. So I made the best decision i could with Auto City by not giving them the other $4,600 to complete my purchase, making me a much happier customer. Unfortunately, I couldnt regain my initial $300 dollar investment, but I guess thats the nature of business when you deal with a shady dealer. The more I talked with them the more grossly obvious was their priority of sales over customers. I would strongly advise against doing business with this dealer. Its a coin flip at best if youre gonna get a decent car. If you do however decide to buy here, please be sure to have it inspected by a reputable, trusted mechanic.

I spoke to the salesman several times the day before going to purchase the truck. I spoke to him several times that morning. I agreed to pay full price plus tax, tags, dealer fees. I was told that the truck was in good condition, and ready to go. I took off from work early, found baby sitters for the kids. My wife and I drove over 3 hours to get there (which I made clearly known before the visit). We had the check in hand, insurance set up, we were going to drive home with the truck. As soon as we pulled up after our long drive to the dealership, I saw a truck matching the description on the racks in the garage. My salesman saw my face and told me that wasnt my truck. Twenty minutes later, the same salesman finally tells me it was my truck. They had the engine halfway pulled out. His excuse, he had been looking at the wrong truck all day long while. At this point, I am extremely upset, but still want the truck. After calling everyday for nearly 2 weeks and being told they would call me back with an update and never actually calling back, I slowed my calls to about every 3rd day. It has now been 3-1/2 weeks and they have yet to call me. They keep making excuses that the truck is STILL being worked on. At least have the respect to tell me that you already sold MY truck, or that you are in over your head and need to sale it for more. At least have the respect to at least follow through and call me back and tell me anything....even IF you are still truly working on it.

If I could put negative stars I would. I understand that when you buy a used vehicle you are buying potential problems. Heck I expected it, I bought a high mileage vehicle but I was under the assumption that it would at least get me home. Immediately after signing the papers the first problem arose. The ink wasnt even dry yet and the problem was the transfer case shift motor. They told me, "everything was ok until you plugged in your tvs" I had 2 little tvs that my kids watch movies on and they tried saying that the auxiliary 12 volt tvs messed up the 4x4. They said for me to bring the vehicle back during the week for a second opinion and we would go from there. I live 3 HOURS away. They knew this so I threatened to lawyer up and they gave me $100 so I can fix it myself. Im a mechanic BTW. Then... Im driving home. Make it 4 miles and lose all oil pressure. Huge problem. I called them and they had me towed in and tried to fix. I ended up driving a loaner car home. This has been the absolute WORST auto experience of my life. They are a disgrace to used car sales and I have been trying to talk to the owner to straighten this out so if you read this. Please call me. I have some details to fill you in on. Thank you Kenny for getting it fixed and thank you Neal.

Wasted my time at this joke of a dealership. Went to see a specific vehicle I called about beforehand, and when my wife and I arrived, the vehicle had not been moved from being blocked in the middle of the lot, nor was the battery even charged to test drive. Vehicle also had noticeable interior damage. The salesman, Kenny, promised the vehicle would be fixed up and ready to drive by next weekend . Called to let Kenny know i was coming back the next weekend, and predictably, the vehicle was not repaired. It hadnt even been moved from the spot it was in since last week. I was informed it would be fixed by next week, something Wayne could have told me when I called that day before I drove out there from norfolk. This dealer has no interest in selling cars or even basic customer service and courtesy. I bought a vehicle somewhere else and Im out $20 for two wasted trips through the downtown tunnel. tldr: stay far away.

So today my son who has a good job and money goes to Auto City in Portsmouth to buy a car. He speaks to a salesman in the lot who rudely pointed to the office and told him someone in there would get him. He goes in sees another salesman who points him back to the parking lot salesman that came into the office. My son tells him what car and he has the down payment and the man was rude and tells him "we dont do in house financing". Now earlier when my son had called about the car he was told my a salesman that they did. So folks if your ok with getting treated rudely and getting the runaround and treated with total disrespect then go th Auto City on Airline Blvd. Those folks showed they dont carry about your business. So sad that people who work a job get treated like this. Maybe someone who really knows what they do and do not should be answering the phone and working with customers. Bad choice on their part

if I could put less than one star I would. went in to buy a Ford F-150 they had advertised. Was going to put 1500 down on it and have it totally paid off in the next two months. Even showed them proof that i could. In the end after going back and forth to the "dealership" for two days i was told i was turned down by the owner. Called back to offer 2000 down and asked to speak to the manager and was rudely told that wouldnt make a difference and both the salesman i was dealing with and the owner were now both convieniently out to lunch. And was turned down by the bank.So which one is it? Owner turn me down or the bank? Shady to me. oh well. It was their money they lost. Going to rip this place to everyone i know and on every social media site there is. Oh yeah also was told they do in house financing. Guess that wasnt true either.Pretty sure they sold it out from under me. Of coure nobody would admit it.
