Just went to this Sears for the first time because we recently moved from Herndon to Bristow and needed a few tools to preform some minor repairs on our house. I chose to come to Sears rather than a hardware store because I feel that the associates at Sears are mindful that I, as a woman, am not always familiar with the tools needed and which tools are the best to use for different jobs and as such they are very helpful in making suggestions and patiently explaining how to use a product and what I need to keep it in good condition. To start with my experience here; I came in on a Friday afternoon and encountered a young gentleman named Christian in the tools department. I stopped him as he was walking towards the appliance section and asked him if he would help me search for a plumbing wrench to remove a shower head that no longer preformed as it should. He informed me that he was actually about to leave for lunch but upon seeing that he had no other co-workers nearby he agreed to help me, he even seemed happy to be able to. He walked me to where the wrenches were located and then went through each product and explained how durable each one was and how to use it; it was all extremely helpful! Afterwards, I requested he show me several other things and he was knowledgeable about every single one and at no point did I feel he was losing patience with me or attempting to rush me as I asked all my questions. Finally, my purchases were made and I was ready to leave, however my bags were extremely heavy as I had purchased many tools. Christian, seeing my dilemma, offered to carry my bags out for me. I was very grateful to him for doing so, he even offered to deliver a few of them to my new house so I would not have to concern myself with unloading them. I was so amazed, never had I ever received such wonderful customer service from anyone. I took him up on his offer and left to run a few more errands till he got off work. Later when I came back, he followed me back to my house and unloaded all of the supplies for me and even went so far as to help me remove my shower head that was so old it had rusted. Then, when I offered him money as compensation he refused and said he was glad to be able to help and gain the experience. I will only shop at this Sears from now on no mater what I need; they have such upstanding workers that are so helpful to all their customers even if it incontinences themselves. Truly a remarkable show of customer service that you cant get anywhere else these days. Positively amazing. 100 stars out of 5.

We bought a Sears home Warranty (paid for it for the whole year) and it was effective on the 2nd of Aug. On 11 Aug our washer motor broke, so we called and got a service request number. Called their Tech and he came out on the 14th of Aug. (also paid the $100 deductible). He ordered a part and returned on the 21st of Aug. That didnt fix the problem and a new tech. was assigned on the 22nd of Aug. Tech never called us for a week and I called on the 31st only to find out another company had been assigned. Called the 3rd tech company( 6 Sept) and once he found out it was a stack able washer /dryer, he said he didnt work on those. Called again on the 7th of Sept to find out another company had been assigned this. On 8 Sept, got a call from a technician, he came over on the 9th of Sept and said the washer was not repairable-- Then I found out through a follow up call that he couldnt work on this unit and another company was being contacted. Finally got a tech who knew this type of washer/dryer. He came out on Sat the 16th and said the transmission was broken. He called the Sears Home warranty rep with whom he deals and they denied the claim, as it was classified as a preexisting condition. Their reasoning was that a tech had gone out on the 21st of Aug and put in a new part. So my request was to fix a washer that never had been fixed during all the previous weeks was a preexisting issue. How can it be a preexisting condition when it was never repaired to working condition for over a month? When you call, you will speak to so many people that there is no coherent trail and each new person causes you to have to go over the whole problem. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOME WARRANTY ORGANIZATION!

Zero stars if possible. This is related to Sears appliances. And their installation. 100% of customer service is outsourced, with no one available to assist with customer problems/complaints. Sears corporate phone has a customer complaint option... Which is funny, because it redirects you to their outsourced call center. All the horror stories of Sears "customer service" are true. Their teams are all poorly trained. They will just mute you, put down the phone, unmute you and repeat themselves. They insult their sales team and tell you they are not trained at all!! Never trust a company that has no way to escalate complaints or address customer service issues. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HERE. I ended up missing my open house date because of Sears mistakes and lack of responsibility. Do not trust their guaranteed delivery, their installation, or their sales people. According to their own people, they are not trained on the products, and dont know what they are selling.

You guys are the WORST when it comes to appointments. Our washer machine is broken and we called to schedule an appointment to get it fixed since we BOUGHT warranty on it. You guys said you guys would come in a week between 8am-12pm. We waited until 3pm and still no show. So we called and somebody said they are 10 min away. 3 hours later still NOBODY showed up. Called them back and they said they rescheduled for next week and never told us! Furious, all we could do is wait for the next week. A week later waited from 8am-12pm and AGAIN NO BODY SHOWED UP!! And now they just pushed it to another week. They are unreliable when it comes to "fixing" something you got from them. They are so too happy to sell you warranty on expensive appliances, but always gives an attitude and keeps rescheduling when we need it fixed. We gave up and decided to just hire someone else to fix it. Thanks sears.

Horrible waste of my time. Went in planning to spend $2000+ on a riding mower. "Salespeople" were completely apathetic and had no idea about what they were selling. Waited for 10 minutes before someone asked if I needed help-- then when I asked a question about the mowers, the guy has no idea what I am talking about and just... walks away. I thought he was going to get someone more knowledgeable, but he never came back and I saw him "helping" someone else. I hope they work on commission. Im taking my business elsewhere. This experience may even make me rethink my Craftsman brand purchase. I cant believe I drove across town for this.
