Rude, judgemental workers. One lady tangled the hell out of my jewelry. Said my 925 solid sterling silver necklace wasnt real even though its stamped three times on the necklace, it came from Jared and cost $250 originally. Then then proceeded to tell me " people stamp their own metal nowadays." Oh yea because I have the tools to do that! Because you know Jareds is FAMOUS for selling fake jewelry. The old, rude blonde lady actually had the nerve to say "Hasnt that been in here before? " No b*tch, it was bought outside of Lynchburg six years ago. I wasnt even talking to or being helped by her. Total BS. I will NEVER come here again and Ill make sure others dont either. So before you are rude to the next person just remember who pays your bills. If you arent good with people you might want to consider a different profession.

I had never set foot in a pawn shop before. In the middle of a frenzied move, hubby and I were looking to get a few bucks for a couple of Case knives which he had received as corporate gifts from way back in the day. Never used them--still in the original boxes. I thought they were worth maybe $30 together. I didnt have time to do a lot of research--I just basically wanted to be done with them. Imagine my surprise when the folks there told me they would NOT give me the $30 I asked for. They did the research--and offered me $100 instead. Their honesty literally moved me to tears. Im leaving this area and not sure if I will have another opportunity to do business here--but if you live in Lynchburg, these are the folks you should see. Their honesty and professionalism is a rare commodity these days!

i went in looking to sell s rifle. the clerk behind the counter didnt know what it was, so offered half of what i was asking. i politely declined and left, when i was met by someone who had seen it in the shop and was interested in buying it. the owner came out and offered to buy it for a little more than the other guy was offering for his own collection. we went inside and once they were sure the other guy was gone, they gave me my rifle back, and told me not to come back. then they followed me out to my car and took pictures of me. not only will i not go back, but i will actively encourage others not to give them their business. if i could give less than 1 star, i would.

Dont bother going here. I brought an item in, which the staff tried to play up as broken, but I proved it wasnt. Then when I showed that it wasnt broken, they only offered me $40 for it when I knew it was worth well over $100. They said theyd never be able to sell it or that it would be really difficult to sell and thats why they were offering me so little, but its a lie. I loaded my item into Amazon on the same day that I went to this pawn shop and it sold on the same day, for $150. This pawn shop is just a waste of time. Theyll lie and try to cheat you out of money. A legitimate pawn shop should be offering 70% of the resale value, not 26%.

I went in, only looking for info, on an old ring my father had given me. I wasnt sure of the material, so the lady used a machine, to test it, and was able to tell me, exactly, the percentages of the alloys in the ring. I am writing this, literally, after talking to Eddy in the gun area. He was very helpful and gave me more info than I was actually looking for, but was important to the transaction of using them as my FFL receiver. I have used them in the past as my FFL and have never had a problem.

Friendly, honest and helpful. The staff is very good explaining their offers for loans and they offer fair deals. They will actually walk you through sales on Ebay so you can verify the value of your pawns. Merchandise is priced to sell especially jewelry. I recommend stopping in and just looking around for good deals each week. I shop there and have shopped there for many years. Whether is dvds, bluerays, ipods, guns, computers, tools or jewelry ( I have bought them all) you cant go wrong.

My fiance and I went in to Lynchburg Pawn today to give them a picture of my stolen engagement ring, just in case someone tried to bring it in. The employee we talked to was extremely rude and wouldnt even take the picture, saying that plenty of rings come in like that all the time. Her advice was to come in 20 days and search the cases for it. We wont be going back. The people downtown at L. Oppleman and in Wyndhurst at Lynchburg Jewelry and Loan were much nicer and helped us find the culprit.

I was just there today. The employees were unprofessional and incompetent. While one took over 30 mins to input my information into the computer while chatting with a customer who walked behind the counter without resistance, another employee was dry firing a Wilson combat sentinel 38 super (retails for over $3000, and dry firing a gun damages the firing mechanism) at another employees foot intentionally! I would have given zero stars but that was not an option.

I agree with every negative comment here. Rude customer service. They care all about money and are very ambitious instead of quality assurance and having the customer come back. Their warranty policy sucks by the way. I wont say "dont go there" but do see for yourself. Just be careful! All I have to say.
