Do not use Petco in Short Pump to groom your pet.... after almost 7 hours in a kennel, 2 of which he spent in a "drying" kennel where air blew on him, Gus was "groomed" in the last 20 minutes after I arrived to pick him up. They left him unattended with a noose around his neck on a grooming table and he looks absolutely horrible (did not cut his belly at all and cut his nails so short he yelped while walking). When I complained about the poor service, the groomer blew a hair dryer in my face because the manager (who was mortified by the groomer) did not make me pay to have my dog abused all day.... NEVER GO THERE.

We took our dog to Petco at 1:30 for a 2pm appointment. They called us after 7pm for us to come get her. They said that after her bath, they put her on the table and she was shaking so hard they were afraid she would have a seizure so THEY DID NOT EVEN TRIM HER. Then why did they keep her for over 5 hours?????? They told us to go to Petsmart and maybe they would trim her. UGH! I want to give them zero stars because they took a long time to do NOTHING, but that is not an option for this review.

Brain the Animal Manager was phenomenal with my daughter when we were looking for a hamster to take home. He immediately found the perfect fit and new that this hamster was super sweet. Just what the little girl ordered. He was knowledgeable and made this entire experience a positive one. My daughter, continues to say that she was very lucky to have Mr. Brian working that day to find her perfect pet. Top notch employee and could only wish everyone was this amazing! Thanks Brian!

As a owner of multiple pets, and wife of a veterinarian, Ive always found what I needed at Petco. They have the best selection of small animals around. When looking for a guinea pig, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding us the perfect match. In addition, Jamie (one of the managers) is always willing to help out local organizations that provide support and protection for our furry friends. That is why I am a loyal customer!

Manager was Very Rude to both my son and to myself. I will NOT go back to that store. I shop frequently with Petco and have been to this location several times and find the same level of customer treatment each time this manager is there...he is Blatantly Rude !! Anyone in Management who can be OBNOXIOUS to a 12 year old doesnt deserve to be in Management!!

This was the nicest and cleanest Petco that I have ever been to. The store location is convenient to Broad Street, but the shopping center access leaves a lot to be desired. But, because of the exceptional service, product availability, and cleanliness of the store, I will be returning when I am in the area!

Good store for its size, but the parking lot is difficult at best. The proximity to many other popular stores and a lot too small for the traffic make for a trying experience. Dont give up on the store because its convenient and clean. Just go for the outer spaces since we all need the extra steps anyway.
