This is the Holy Grail of Supermarkets!! If you cant find what you want here, then you probably dont need it or it is a specialty item available only in certain areas of the country. The meat, fish, produce and bakery are just the beginning of a truly unique experience in fine grocery shopping, then you discover the cheese section (with samples) and another world opens up. Now, as you venture on through the store, you happen upon the Wine Section. This, I might add, takes up quite a large area due to the outstanding variety of wines from around the world that are available. There is also a very nice selection of imported and domestic beers, ales, etc. available, as well as the, now popular, "make your own 6 pack" of specialty beers, etc. Be prepared to spend more time than usual doing your grocery shopping here. Wegmans is not your average grocery store, but just in case you discover that you have worked up an appetite, you can get fresh sushi, a slice of pizza, wings, a sub, a nice salad, a cup of soup, something from the hot food bar, or a cup of coffee and a donut. Oh, and you can also call in or drop off a prescription, their pharmacy is the best in town. Oh, did I mention, they send out great coupons, too!!

Drove one hour away with my wife and my son to Wegmans for a book signing with Rachel Ray, and for them to tell us that we needed a voucher. Never said anything on the website from Wegmans or Rachel Rays website that we needed to buy tickets for a book signing. So, we ask someone from Wegmans customer service, and apparently a lot of people were turn down just like us. We were there 30 minutes before she was scheduled, and we were told again from Wegmans customer service that someone from Corporate decided to sell tickets without any notice online from both websites (Wegmans or Rachel Rays). We are very disappointed because we wasted over two hours of driving time in the rain (back & forth), and for them to tell us that it was sold out. I dont have a problem buying the tickets for anything, but not letting your customers or fan base ahead of time that WE HAD TO BUY TICKETS for a book signing is truly unacceptable from both Wegmans and Rachel Rays! VERY POORLY ORGANIZED!

I have shopped here multiple times a week for about 5 years, and I legitimately hate it. The problem is there isnt an alternative thats better. People that shop here are oblivious, the store gets overcrowded with people not paying attention, getting in the way. Wegmans itself has a major problem keeping things stocked, especially organics. Ive thrown out hundreds of dollars of produce that looked good in the crap store lighting but turned out it was nasty when I got it home where I could actually see. They like to randomly rearrange things just to make your life miserable. The only people you can ever find in an area where you are looking for an item are vendors stocking shelves who dont know or care about what youre looking for. The only place I can think of worse to visit on a weekend is Ikea.

My favorite grocery store bar none. We actually stay in Kauai in the winter and you cannot imagine the difference between the Safeway store in Kapaa and Wegmans in Fredericksburg. I honestly think you could put six Safeways in this Wegmans. If you are careful the prices are reasonable, though if you are not careful you could drop serious dinero. The vast selection of organic, gluten free and top quality meats and produce is astounding. I come to Fredericksburg for business meetings and the next time I come I am going to bring a cooler the size of a pickup truck bed. The location is awesome, right off of I95 at the RTE 3 exit.

We are from PA and so we thought itd be at least a little bit like home. After a 6 hour car ride we stopped in to finally eat. The buffet was hot but plain. There was no taste to anything. And so we still needed something so I got my family stuff from the pizzeria. We sat down and ate and ended up not being able to finish it. You could tell it was food thats been out for house. The three cheese white pizza crumbled while I ate it and the cheese was hard and matted. And the calzone was hard like a rock. Just disappointed and wish I could have done better for my family.

Wegmans is, bar none, the best grocery store in the Fredericksburg area. For that matter, I have yet to find a store in all of Virginia that tops this one. From its castle-like appearance to the huuuuge assortment of goods inside, Wegmans is the real deal. Customer service has always been nothing short of excellent and the seafood, sushi and deli bars all come highly recommended. Produce is always wonderfully fresh and the overall selection of foods is almost absurd...one could spend their entire day here and not come across the same item twice. A must visit!!

This is our favorite grocery store. They have free samples on Saturdays. We often eat here. The pizza is great. They also have a food and salad bar with great seating both upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs has a kids area with a TV and wooden train table set up. The produce section has tons of choices, they have a full seafood Dept, a meat department, a cheese market, an olive bar, bulk candy, a sushi bar, a really huge beer and wine section and so much more. And their prices are very competitive. Its more like an adventure than just food shopping!!!

Make sure you give yourself a nice block of time for this treasure trove of produce & products. The atmosphere is esthetically pleasing. Sit down and enjoy a glass of fine wine & oysters on the half shell. Take home some amazing fresh in-store made sushi thats very reasonably priced. Theres never been anything on my list that I couldnt find here. While on the topic of lists, I strongly suggest one especially if youre on a budget or if you have a hard time making decisions because sometimes the selection can be a bit overwhelming.

Wegmans has everything! Their prices are far better than most (every?) other grocery store in the area. Their selection is superb, the store is very clean, their hot food bar has great selections, many of which are rotated regularly. Sushi is good and all-gluten-free. Their sit-down seafood bar is excellent, too; they cook it right in front of you using only Wegmans store ingredients. They have precut packaged vegetables that make dinner prep a cinch. Really, why would you go anywhere else?

i love almost everything about this place except for the seafood restaurant, I recently ate there and ordered the shrimp cocktail. It was good until i got to shrimp part, then I saw a hair. They were nice about it and gave us a new one for no charge but as we were about to take a bite of the new one we found another piece of hair! I mean really hair in our food twice! and they had the audacity to charge us, but we talked to a manager who helped us out. Fredericksburg,va

Its a little on the pricey side but the food items and meals are worth it. They have a multi cultural buffet, really fresh sea food and produce (the produce and meats are from their farms). Lots of healthy options friendly and helpful staff. Oh not not forget the sushi made to order or grab one that was freshly made. Theres also a pharmacy and many other items of interest. Kids and adults may find the overhead train with the steam engine interesting.
