It was a nice store until a few weeks ago, they remove the self checkouts, then the cashiers became very nasty persons, youre there in the line and can hear how they complain about the schedule, how they complain about "too many customers" of you have too many stuff you can hear how they are sayin "shhhiittt" all the time. I mean now if you want to get just one thing you know for sure youll spend 15-20 in the store, its frustrating and to that you have to add the really bad mood of the cashiers, specially the girls!! Safeway managers really need to talk to their personal about it. Or..... If you need just milk it is easier to go to the 7/11 or giant, youll spend same time on distance if go to another store plus employees will at least smile at you... ...

Abosolutely the worst EVER! unfortunately this is the closest grocery store to me. Usually I go to Trader Joes or Wegmans but today and a few days ago this store was just on my way home and i needed generic staples. Each time Ive definitely found what I needed quickly enough but then waited in line for 15 + minutes...and with frozen items. The lines are just rediculously long. There is never anyone at the CS desk. And every time Ive bought produce there, its gone bad super fast. The place is dirty, the floors are gross. This is the worst worst grocery store Ive ever been in....the management is so poor. Im done giving this place chance after chance, Ill never go in there again and I will tell everyone I can possibly tell not to go in there.

Youd think because its 10PM on a SUNDAY that the store would be empty. WRONG. This grocery store is the closest one to my home, however, I make the drive to shop elsewhere due to the products always being expired & the unnecessary long lines to check out. Yesterdays incident just confirmed as to why I refuse to purchase anything this location. After waiting almost 20 minutes in line, I saw an employee yelling AND cursing at a customer who was instructed by a different employee to go to her! Saying she was ready to fight the man

Ive tried going here several times during the day when hardly anyone goes shopping expecting to be in and out quickly but am disappointed every time. They are very understaffed and usually only have a couple registers open which makes for long lines and long waits. Additionally I wouldnt recommend getting coffee at the Starbucks there because youll be waiting a good 15 minutes for it. The produce section is decent, better than the one at the nearby Giant but its just not worth the wait.

This is close to my house so I buy most of my groceries here - flowers on occasion, fruits, pastries, ice cream, vegetables, and meats. Most of these are fresh. However, in my recent purchase this month, I made the decision to buy the often-advertised 6$ oatmeal raisin cookies box which turned out to be very hard and old. I have to heat them up to moisten them at home. Also, the mints I bought were expired. I think they should be vigilant in checking expiration dates in products.

Company clearly doesnt give the store what it needs to survive, let alone flourish. The equipment for self check out is awful, it is often slower since staff is required for every transaction almost. Sale prices are never updated, price changes often leave empty price tags instead of outdated ones. Out of food thats on discount at all times (I shop at 6am and evening times so theres a variety of chances to see sale items) Avoid if you have better options

I hate this place. Its perpetually understaffed. 45 minutes is an average time to get anything from here, because they never have enough cashiers, if a manager is ever needed for a price correction its over. Shelves are also often understocked. If understaffing is a cost-saving strategy its really working against them because I often go to the more expensive Giant thats further away because it takes so long to do anything at this Safeway.

I am very glad to recommend safeway at Little River Turn pike. Their meat department is outstanding; the customer service of the employees is amazing; they know you by name and always provide you with the best. Niki, specially is always willing to help you in all your needs. My family members always ask me where I buy my meats; and I always recomend safeway. Thank you all, for the wonderful meat department team!!

Never have more than 2 lanes open EVER. You will wait at least 15 minutes in line. Cashiers are rude, and over stuff your bags, and dont wven double bag them! Owners are too cheap to hire more people. They also dont check their shelves very often, because I have, NUMEROUS TIMES, purchased expired products. Ill never shop at this location again.

TERRIBLE staff.. they obviously only hire cashiers with attitudes, not to mention mute cashiers that show how much they hate their jobs. The managers arent much of an upgrade either. Youre better off going to the Giant down the street near the ABC store.

This place never has anyone for checkout. The lines are always long. Would Safeway please address this issue. It happens every time I go in the store. The store is convenient but it is faster for me to drive another 10minutes away to Harris Teeter!

Came here and noticed that it was not as well-kept as other Safeways. In the poultry section, there were pieces of chicken hear and there outside of the packaging. One redeeming quality, however, is that they have a really good beer selection.

There are always lines, the cashiers especially the newer ones are either complaining all the time or talking about their personal life. The store manager is a joke hes rude and doesnt know much he seems to not care about his store at all.

Decent Safeway. It has improved over the past year. The produce is better than the local Giant. Better prices and better quality. Lines can sometimes be long, though and staff is not always the friendliest, but do help when needed.

Its alright. I rarely go because they removed the self checkout, resulting in ridiculously long checkout times, as others have pointed out. But things are generally well stocked and fairly cheap, so its not all bad.

Worst supermarket ever. At night they dont have enough staff in the store and just let lines build up at the self check out. No one cares how long people wait in line. I recommend not shopping there.

Just left the Annandale Safeway 7:45pm Friday evening. The place was filthy. Trash all over the floors. I said something to an employee and he just blew me off. Wont buy any food there!

Good selection of groceries, but they need better customer service. A lot of checkout lanes are closed and you have to wait a while to check out.

Mary has exellent customer service in the deli department! The other associates give great service as well. I will continue to shop here.
