Small Dog is the worst electronics store Ive ever done business with. Its pretty cliquish. When you walk in, youll see employees standing around talking to customers for long periods of time but its difficult to get help there. The technical department is inconsiderate and rude. I was standing in line, with cash, ready to pay for a repair, and the guy behind the counter was talking softly and asking a bunch of questions to the lady in front, while a line of people formed behind me. It got so bad that two students behind me announced "they need to get some more people behind the counter" or something to that effect. But this guy kept jabbering, ignoring the growing line. I dont like standing in lines as Im sure no one else does, either. While he kept on being really, really slow with the customer at the counter, I saw two tech service employees standing around at the back, doing nothing. Whats going on? Seriously? They should have been attentive and considerate and been up at the counter to ask someone else if they needed help. Pathetic. When I finally got to the counter to pick up my computer, the guy wouldnt give it to me until I returned with a receipt, showing I had paid, and he fumbled around the computer for 5 minutes like he didnt know what was going on, even though I had given him an order receipt. Finally, he prints a receipt and tells me to go to the other counter to pay. What? So, I have to wait in line again to pay, get a receipt from that guy, then return to the service counter with that receipt to pay for the computer. And when I returned, I cut in line, as the first guy instructed me to come up to the front. Horrible customer service, inconsiderate and rude. Pretty much like the employees of City Market, the most over priced market in Burlington, where the employees acting like youre interrupting them. And whats with the little toy dogs in bags in pails on the counter? Listen ... skip the gimmicks. If you have GREAT customer service and considerate help, with fair prices, you will do well. Small Dog Electronics is a place to avoid. Im sure Ill get some angry replies from locals who are friends with the employees. I just want good service.

I will never recommend this business to anyone. I spilled liquid on my macbook pro and brought it in to have it worked on. They said that the keyboard needed to be replaced and told me it would take 7 to 14 days. Three weeks later I had still heard nothing from them so I tried calling multiple times, leaving voice mails every time. No one ever called me back. FOUR weeks later, none the less around finals week, I finally talked to someone who said that the wrong part had been ordered and they were waiting for a new shipment. Another week goes by, I call and they said that the part hasnt come in the most recent shipments and they were still waiting on it. Finally they call saying my computer is done and when I go to pick it up I mention the long wait period and the inconvenience it caused me as a college student around finals week. They gave me the apple number and said that there was nothing they could do. They have HORRIBLE communication with customers. No one ever called to tell me my computer would take TWO TIMES LONGER to fix than expected or ever returned my calls inquiring about the status of my computer. They also did not offer to ship the right part when the wrong part was received in a faster way and just kept telling me I would have to wait for the shipment that contained the part when the shipments were "taking longer than they usually for some reason" Also, sharing my experience with friends I was not the only customer who did not have good experiences here.

Our 27" iMac crashed on us and of course we had ALL of our family pictures on it. We called Small Dog and they were friendly over the phone, giving us the details on how their repair facility worked. The iMac was out of the Apple Care warranty and so this was going to come our of our pocket. The diagnosis was to cost us $65 alone and we of course agreed because we have ALL our pictures on that computer (stupid, I know!). They were ultra friendly when we brought the computer in, gave us details on when wed hear back from them and gave us no false hope. We were called sooner than expected with a prognosis and cost. The data recovery process would cost us $150 (with no promises that wed get anything), the new hard drive another $150 and then another $100 for labor or other parts or something. So, $150 to try to get our pictures back with no promise and another $300 for the diagnosis and new hard drive. The friendly people there called us often with updates and they got our pictures back!! The computer was done sooner than we thought and runs beautifully now. My husband says it was a little pricey but I disagree. Hes a computer smart person, Im not. However, I would have paid $450 for my pictures alone if I new that would get them back! Id go back to them in a heartbeat. On a side note, save your pictures elsewhere people! And, get the Apple Care 3 year warranty because weve had to use it on both our Mac Pro and iMac. Its worth it!

My first time walking in was great. My screen on my iPhone was cracked and I heard they did repairs. Its fairly expensive but rather than ship it off to apple or wait until my next trip to a state with an apple store I decided to shell out the money to have it fixed locally and hopefully quickly. It was quickly fixed (yay!) but upon using my phone that night I noticed that some buttons no longer worked and it was glitchy. I had brought it in with no glitches just a crack and now it looked nice but didnt work. So I went in and talked to the manager I think (will?) and he was very accommodating and told me to bring it in the next day for a technician to look at. idk I thought that since it had not worked after i left it with them then it wouldnt by my responsibility to fix what they broke... the next day the technician guys were so rude, I paid for the service again because arguing was exhaustive, and in the end I paid for something that they broke and also that they couldnt fix anyway. The whole experience was awful and Im never going back in again, Ill just visit an Apple store in another state. The sales personnel are great (but then again, dont they have to be, theyre trying to sell you something...) but the service/technicians were eh to say the least.

I went in with my partner to have a laptop looked at and the tech told here there is no problem with her mouse when there clearly is. While he was checking out other items on the laptop I mentioned my excitement on getting the new iPhone 5 and mentioned that I would just go there and get it. GET THIS....he actually told me that I could get it anywhere I wanted, that they all handled AT&T contracts the same. HE ACTUALLY DISCOURAGED ME FROM PURCHASING IT THERE!!!! No problem...I will give my business to someone that wants it. Secondly, last night my lcd went on my ipad and I called there a few minutes ago to get a quote on repairing it. The man who answered the phone told me they did not stock parts or do the actual repairs, that they were outsourced and took 2-3 weeks. No quote even though I told him I had the first iPad. So I decided to look at these reviews and they are horrible. Further down I read one that said Pine Computers around the corner repaired iPads so I called them. 2-3 DAYS!!! and from 129 to 149. Guess where my iPad is going??? I havent decided whos getting the iPhone, but I know it wont be small dog!
