Overpriced and over rated. I got my cartilage done and the ball got stuck in my ear. Got a tiny forearm piece. Just some branches and it was 150$ 180 with tip. Tattoo artist didnt make conversation at all and Ive never had a tattoo raise and scab like it ever before. Definitely went deep with the needle. He also completely messed up the design. There were words in it. Handwriting from my mother. She wrote it on two sides of a piece of paper. The side I wanted I showed to him. He took an hour and a half to trace both the reference photo along with the lettering. When he put the stencil on my arm I asked for it to be a bit smalller and politely said that it was the wrong one for the word. He didnt listen and just went in. I would have had to pay him over 50$ for setting it up and drawing the design so I just sat there and got a tattoo that I dont like that much even though I tried to correct him, he didnt care. Going to get a cover up in the future. The artist who did this was named big. Theres plenty of shops in Burlington that do better work for cheaper.

If I could rate this studio 0 stars, I would. I had doubts on getting a piercing at Body Art, due to bad stories and reviews. Having my nose pierced in the previous 4 years, I had nothing to worry about so I decided to get it pierced again at Body Art. After walking in and being greeted nicely, I was asked to wait. After waiting around for 45 minutes, in a legit empty studio (like how long does it take to pierce a nose?), a nice man brought me into a room and was very friendly and talkative along with the piercer herself. The following day I woke up with a heavily infected piercing. Unknown of the reasoning, I had gone back to Body Art to get the painful piercing removed. After not being acknowledged by the piercer, a friendly girl took it out for me. I didnt receive any money back, or an offer for a free re-pierce after the infection heals, I was very disappointed. Still unknown for the reasoning behind the bad, instant, infection (perhaps unsanitary tools?), I had wished someone offered me at least my money back...

I got my first (and probably only) tattoo at Body Art a few months ago. I brought in an image of exactly what I wanted -- its a simple design, but Matt added tiny details that really make it look awesome and unique. He gave me tons of ideas and suggestions that I hadnt even thought of, but didnt push any ideas that I didnt want. I was nervous, but he was really calm and friendly -- he let my friends be in the room with me and talked to us the whole time. I appreciated that he took the time to explain every step of the process when I asked. I am extremely happy with my tattoo -- it healed well and looks beautiful, just a small black outline with black shading, but it really is art and it looks amazing. Body Art is clean and professional and I would definitely go back if I ever wanted another tattoo.

AWFUL!! Went to Body Art for my first body piercing (my nose) a few years back. The whole experience was just plain terrible. Some woman working at the counter was too busy to help us because she was ordering herself and her daughter their dinner. Had to wait 20 minutes for her to get her food because she "didnt want to miss the delivery guy". So I got to sit with her daughter watching cartoons and bouncing all over me while I tried to look at art. Finally went in to get my nose done- she didnt answer any of my questions, wouldnt let me choose the placement and pierced it crooked. Now I get a sharp pain in my nose every time I even touch my stud. Never heard of ANYONE I know having a good experience. Save your money, save time and save pain- go somewhere better- like Moose!

I have had several piercings (Nipples, nose, monroe & tragus) & 2 tattoos here over the years. The first time that I had my nipples pierced (NOT AT BODY ART), it was a nightmare! After the guy pierced the first one, he talked in my face & I realized that he was high. I take care of my piercings, but one of them I had to take out over a YEAR later, it still hadnt healed. I had that re-pierced at Body Art. Great experience! Then I ended up losing a baby, in the 2 1/2 week hospital stay they made me take out all of my piercings. That nipple rehealed, because it wasnt ready to be taken out. I just went 2 days ago, had a sexy artist named "Shorty" re-pierce my Monroe & nipple. She rocked!! She took a lot of time with me, and obviously is proud of her work. Thanks Body Art! <3

Went in after the jewelry from a nose-stud piercing done here 16 months ago (which was a good experience, great ppl) fell out and I couldnt reinsert it. It had been a few days. With Tonys help I chose a new piece to replace it but hadnt expected it to be so grown back. It was almost like a new piercing. Tony did the "piercing". Im a 59 yr old woman, over sensitive to pain, and was NOT looking forward to going through it again...this time without a friend by my side. Tony was awesome. Patient, reassuring, always checking in with me to be sure I wanted to move ahead with it. When I assured him I did, he said, "Well get through this together!" And we did! No charge except for the jewelry which was reasonable. Thank you, Tony and Body Art Tattoo Studio. Highly recommended.

It depends. Fred is amazing and one of the best artists around not to mention coolest guys in town. I really can not speak highly enough about him and he is the only person I want touching my body. Makes you super relaxed putting on music or even some sweet Brazilian capoeira movie that he let me stick around for 20 minutes after he was done to finish the movie. Several people have been sent his way because of me because they were so impressed with the work he did on me. Every one else though I have heard and seen nothing but bad things though. The only work I had that Fred didnt do came out horrible by some guy there but thankfully Fred was able to fix it several months later. Its Fred or nothing.

My mom and I both went in to get our cartilage pierced and after talking with piercer Riley we each ended up getting three piercings. She was very knowledgeable and calmed my nerves instantaneously. Very quick service, we were in the room with her less than 10 minutes after stepping in the door. Riley answered all of my questions and had perfect placement, she helped us through any pain or nerves by breathing with us and making sure we were ready. Trusted her more than any other person who has every pierced me before and was only with her for maybe 40 minutes total. She told us exactly what she would do and what she used. Very clean place and equipment with very friendly people. Strongly recommend!
