I remember Toys R Us being a magical place as a kid. A place that would guarantee leaving in tears when you realize your parents are only getting toys for your friends birthday party and not you. But man, as an adult, this place is dark, gloomy, and depressing. All of the employees make it apparent that their life is the worst. Nothing is in any type of order at all. Finding items from a gift registry is futile, and asking an employee will only get you one additional person walking aimlessly down every aisle trying to help you find your specific item. The lighting is bad and it appears that this store hasnt been updated since it opened 35 years ago. My wife and I were considering starting a family, but if it means me frequenting more stores like this Toys R Us, I may as well sign up for my vasectomy now. CHOP EM OFF!

My wife and I ordered a board game from this location on the Toys R Us website to pick up at the store. The website showed that this store had one in stock. We placed the order. After not hearing anything for close to a day, we received an email that stated that our order had been cancelled because the store didnt have it in stock. On top of that, Toys R Us tells us that it will be 7-10 business days before our money is refunded. It is not that difficult to keep an accurate inventory, and the store will not take any responsibility or allow us any recourse for their error causing us an inconvenience. I will not be doing business here anymore. I would put zero stars, but that is not an option.

Staff were clueless and not helpful. I signed in on my mobile phone and said I was here for a pickup and had signed in. I was told to use the kiosk. The kiosk told me to go to the back of the store for pickup but no one was there. I asked for help and was told to go to the front of the store. I waited... Nothing. I asked for help and was told to the back. Differs t staff and no one stuck with me but just told me to move around. Eventually (after 20 minutes) one employer stuck with me until my order was fulfilled. Most painful and shameful display of employee incompetence. Kaleb was the reason they get a star at all. He helped me eventually solve the impasse.

Upon heading over to the video games Dept. I was approached very politely and asked if I needed assistance. I, in fact did, because I wasnt able to locate these Animal Jam Gift Cards, but was offered a suggestion and found them where they said, plus my son Jonah Googled the locations where we might find them. Overall during Christmas and birthdays in January and March, and a newborn nephew who is moving here from MY, I am positive we had an excellent experience. Oh and we cashed out by the video games and I wNted to mention the sales persons name because they get honorably mentioned in their team meetings!

Depressing!! The building is very sad looking and the entrance and exits were absolutely filthy!!! When you leave the store its apparent that the floor between the store and the outside world hasnt seen a broom or vacuum in years. There were tons of employees wandering around. we saw at least a dozen people walking around with only the customer service checkout counter open. I can see why she was the only one working the counter cause she seemed to be the only employee who had customer service skills and a friendly smile.

My wife and I went to this store two years ago shopping for gifts for our nieces that we were visiting in Salt Lake City at the time. This store was a disgrace to the Toys R Us chain name. The place was filthy and small due to some temporary walls being put up for some reason or another. The inventory was a mess and very limited, unlike any other stores of this chain that we have visited. I couldnt believe we were in a Toys R Us store it was so awful. Do not shop here or you will surely be disgusted and disappointed.

I remember begging my mom to take me to this place all the time, it had its golden days where I see kids wondering around the store freely, friendly employees, and having the feeling of safety. Now its last days its a complete mess, and I dont blame them. I heard this place had it share of robbery... people rob a kids store? REALLY?? The lack of staff and how messy the place now is.. I can understand why this place had to be shut down for its own good.

this and Fashion place area are the 2 best toys r us. They are the same... lame they got rid of the 90s geoffrey the giraffe art on the walls though the new geoffrey sucks. They also changed them all around and dont have the cards in the video game department anymore. I bought my sega genesis here in the 90s.

I only visited since they have a huge sign saying they are closing so I proceeded to go in and see what they had left. I did get a great deal and a few baby things I needed and was happy. I walked around a bit and saw they had good deals but I was only interested in what I initially came in for and walked out.

They lack phone etiquette. When I called them it took them 4 minutes to answer then I was placed on hold for 6 minutes just for them to tell me that they are out of that product followed by being hung up on before I could ask when they might be getting more in.

This Toys R Us has a good selection of toys but needs some remodeling! Its building age is showing! The employees are always nice and helpful although management needs to work on clear policies. Ive been told opposite price matching policies several times.

Great customer service, lost two stars because it always seems like the place is a mess. I know kids are involved and play with stuff, but out of all of my visits, it doesnt seem to matter

Placed a call 2 days straight to talk to someone in store I guess no one answers phones there. Sad that Toys R Us has gotten so bad. I dont see this place lasting much longer.

Has a Toys R Us ever looked new or clean? This store is poorly organized and has a limited selection, but it seems like the only Toys R Us left in the Salt Lake Valley.

The store itself is fine, but even with only a few customers throughout the store it still took ten minutes to get someone to come to the customer service desk.

Dirty and messy store. No helpful employees and not very kid friendly, surprisingly. Weird layout compared to other Toys R Us stores Ive been to.

Selection was fine. Most cashiers were poorly trained. Had a couple of workers stalk my son and I. Probably thought we looked suspicious.

Their prices are a rip off. Most items can be purchased elsewhere for 25-30% cheaper. Do not shop here without shopping around first!!
