Fantastic store for all things paper and pens! I have bought nice pens, journals, and various thank you cards from here in the past. They have a wide and unique selection of stationary with a large I imported section of heavy weight paper and journals. Most of the people working there are nice and helpful! I do remember one older gentleman who I had a less then exceptional experience with. I was taking some photos of a journal, to get some opinions from a friend. He kept asking me multiple times what I was doing and why I was taking photos. He didnt say it but it seemed as if he was accusing me of shopping them out online. I definitely felt judged, which was ironic because I intentionally shop there for stationary because I love the look and feel before I buy it and I buy it there - rant over. Other then that it is perfect.

I am a regular here. No store in Salt Lake has as many, or any fountain pens as Tabula Rasa. In terms of pen prices, Tabula Rasa has it cheaper than many online retailers, if you include shipping, as well as not having to wait several months for a pen to arrive. The staff are friendly, and are happy to show you the pens in the store, as well as offer comparisons to other pens. And theres more than pens. Tabula Rasa has a great deal of other unique things on sale, such as books, invitations, etc. Overall, its a unique store, and fits in with the somewhat eccentric aesthetic of Trolley Square.

Trust Sean Bradley (owner and proprietor) to find every item in the world that your heart never knew it wanted. Its heaven and hell; "heaven" because everything is a little gem that your soul covets and will NEVER find anywhere else all in one place, and "hell" because you want far to much to be able to afford it all in one trip. This The store you want to shop for that someone you know who "has everything" (they dont, and Seans collection will prove it to you) and also get yourself a little something for making it through the week. Nirvana... right here in Trolley Square.

I purchase a Mont Blanc belt and I had a problem with the leather, I wear suits all the time and the belt started showing discoloration, when I took the belt to the store they told me that they could not do anything to help me, ether the belt has a 1 year guarantee in the store, they gave me a card so I can send it to be repair to the Mont Blanc service, they did not want to back there product and Im very disappointed of the business and customer service. I dont recommend purchasing any item from this store.

Great place with items that I can only find here. It is difficult to find blue ink for my fountain pens, but they always have it, along with a great selection of pens and other items. They are a bit eclectic, so it is always fun to see what they have. I can not call them just a stationer, because they also have shaving items and fragrances. Lots of unique books and gifts. Go just to browse - it will be hard to find something you dont want to buy.

What a wonderful, uplifting place. Dane was helpful and and made me feel like I as the only one in the store. While waiting for Dane to wrap a package I asked Eric a question and he made me feel special as well. This is the place where they know what customer service means. I will always shop for my special gifts as they have an incredible collection of ideas. This is definitely a one of a kind store. Thank you Dane and Eric!!!!

Tabula Rasa sells the writing accoutrements of Monarchs, Popes, and Diplomats, but above that, they are the keepers of a legacy. I went there 26 years ago as a college freshman. The truly remarkable service hooked me for life. There is something about the feel of quality paper, the loft of a Mont Blanc pen, and the service rarely found outside of London that makes me ashamed to be writing this on an iPhone.

Extraordinary shopping experience. Sales associate (Ben) was knowledgable and professional in assisting me with the purchase of fountain pen, ink and stationery. Quality really does make a difference in the art of penmanship and in the enjoyment of it. Did I pay full retail? YES! Was it worth it? Double YES! Will I shop there again? Absolutely!

Its a place that provides a quiet and beautiful experience for paperphiles. They have a beautiful selection of fountain pens, journals, cards and other stationary supplies. They also have knickknacks that feel luxuriant and worldly. Its one of my favorite places to go when I need a specific for my paper loving friends.

My favorite store in SLC, I love the selection and you cant beat their prices. I have bought all my Christmas gifts there for the last 3 years. People love opening their meticulously wrapped gifts, and finding the treasures inside. You must go visit this store now!!!!!

This store is simply amazing. They have everything you could want and the employees are always so friendly. We even needed a rush order on some printed invitations and they managed to get all 100 of them to us by the next day. I recommend this store whole heartedly!
