In some things in took to them to pawn. I felt they were fair but I had a quarter diamond with 2 tiny inclusions that they tried to emphasize to me severely lessened the quality. The stone was purvhased bc of its quality and clarity for $1200, from a gem wholesale place in Scottsdale Az. I knew the value but I needed the money and as I had never been to a pawn shop, I had no idea how to haggle with them. I ALSO HAD NO IDEA I COULD GET LOAN ON IT!!! I ended up selling my quarter size diamond for $90!!!! As I was looking around at jewellery when I left, I saw tinyactingacting chip diamond earrings that they were selling for $360!!!! REALLY? Ya, just make sure you watch a few people and look at their prices and do youre homework on pawning, and getting a loan. If youre ignorant, it will be your total LOSS!!!! BC THEY WONT EDUCATE YOU, THEYLL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU........

1st visit was good. He took his time to check my items to make sure he gave me the right amount. 2nd visit my boyfriend went in with a brand new snap on coolant presure tester kit. Never been used before. Over 260 dollars. He insulted us by saying they sell on ebay used for 149 dollars and offer him 30 dollars. Its brand new from snap on!! I know they will slap a 180 dollar price tag and it will sell quick. Low balled him good. We left. Highly doubt I will go back. If I do i will not deal with him again. Good selection on items! Clean store. Everyone was nice but if the price isnt even close to being fair its time to take our business else where.

I use to get really good service. This last experience is not so good. They used to charge $1 to take the scratches out of dvds. They inflated it to $1.50. Almost double and now you have to leave it there until youre called. I think that ill look into an alternative to my situation, besides the prices of the pawned goods are almost equal to retail. No big deals in there. I like a premier pawn shop that doesnt over charge for used junk.

Pretty much what all the other one stars are saying, very rude, for no reason. I even tried to talk friendlier after his blunt, sharp responses, and it went no where. I thought "Maybe thats just how pawn shops are..." Then the next pawn shop I called, the guy was super nice and sympathetic even!

They will lowball the crap out of you, I took an almost brand new item to them and they offered me 80$ when I only asked for 100$ which was so low.. I took it to 1st Cash Pawn which is 2 mins away and they offered me my asking price 100$. 1st Cash Pawn rocks!!! Crown Pawn are greedy.

I went here to buy a guitar amp back on the fifth of may. Really nice staff, the Vox amp looked brand new and was priced fairly but when ringing it up, he gave me the "cinco de mayo" discount and gave me an extra 20 or so bucks off (which didnt really exist btw). Cool people

I havent had dealings with Crown Jewelers, other than getting some very helpful advice from an employee about how I might go about recovering items stolen in a home burglary. She spent several minutes going through the process with me, and I greatly appreciated it.

Used to pawn here regularly, but after today will not be returning! I clearly misunderstood what the manager had said, and when he repeated himself, he got extremely rude. Ive never been treated like that there and it came as a shock to me.

My favorite pawn shop in the Salt Lake Valley by far! Carlton is the best employee (in my opinion) .. Always goes above and beyond to help me out when Im there. I highly recommend this pawn shop. I feel they are very fair.
