- Stopped by on Wednesday and spoke to BRIAN...He quoted me $760 bucks for some continental tires, but had to order them and the y would be there Thursday at around 1pm. - I didnt get a call by 2pm on Thursday so I decided to call them. I called them up and was told that there was a mistake and they got the wrong tires delivered and if I want them to send a courier to get them. I told them that they dont have to do that for me! I was told that the tires will be there guaranteed on Friday at around 1pm. - I got a call on Friday at around 1:30pm telling me that my tires are there. After talking to Terry for a bit, it turned out that those were not the tires I ordered! He assured me that he would look into that and would give me a call back shortly. He never called so I ended up calling them again. I got Terry on the phone again and he guaranteed me that the tires would be there later today! - I finally got a call at around 4pm telling me to come down there and have my tires installed. I got there 5min later, spoke to someone at the front desk and was told that they are sorry and gonna make sure it getting done fast! Ten minutes later Terry came over, introduced himself and told me that they checked the alignment and the TOTAL IS GONNA BE $1140!!! I knew something wasnt right when he told me that they already had checked the alignment and that it was ok?! The tires are worn out badly on the inside BECAUSE the alignment is off!! However, I told him right away that this is not what BRIAN told me!!! He called BRIAN, spoke to him, telling me that Brian doesnt remember!!! He offered me some cheap as Tires instead and I said NO! I told him to take the new tires off because I was not willing to pay that much more from what I was quoted! It turned out that they never put the tires on!!! Why would someone not start the work, telling you that they did though, unless they are expecting you to not pay?! And why would someone not pay, other than knowing that they got ripped off?!?! Long story short: The place is TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was extremely disappointed in the customer service and the mechanics expertise. I was on a road trip from Nevada to Colorado when my GMC Jimmy began acting up and misfiring when I would come to an idle. I was about to travel through Wyoming which does not have many service stations so I wanted to get it fixed before continuing. I arrived, told them my situation and my time frame, and they then had me wait for 2 hours before they even looked at my car. I am not upset about the wait but of what happened thereafter. Upon inspection, they told me that I likely lost all compression in one or more of my cylinders and wanted to run a compression test. I told them that I have had these problems before with identical symptoms and every time it turned out to be an EGR valve stuck. The man helping me said in no way could this problem be an EGR valve and recommended I do a compression test. The way he said it too was very degrading like I knew nothing. I waited another 2 hours JUST to have the test run which, surprise surprise, was normal. I insisted the EGR valve be investigated before they run more tests and start replacing parts on my ignition system (which was recommended). Sure enough, it was clogged. I didnt even get a bit of acknowledgement about how I was right either. Im no mechanic and am not trying to toot my own horn but have some humility once in awhile. They then had to have the dealership run up another EGR valve. The car was finally fixed and I was on my way after spending the majority of the day there. Key points 1. Extremely poor customer service 2. Not willing to put higher priority for people traveling on tight schedule (dont go if you are road tripping it) 3. Could care less about getting critical information about the cars history or hearing customers out -- sometimes we carry useful information! 4. Employee egos are HUGE

They know they have got Park City residents right where they want them with no other major repair shops between salt lake and heber and a huge number of parkites with too much money and no knowledge of their sports cars and SUVs. Every interaction has been a disaster - Ive been lied to, intimidated, patronized and jerked around for hours on end. I agree with the poster about the sketchy work being done - after an oil change my subaru made all sorts of weird noises for two weeks. I wont even get into ludicrous hidden fees and charges and their complete refusal to go over the word step by step before they do it and explain the word being done and they seem to think the word estimate is from some foreign dialect. Good luck with any complaints to corporate management you will get a "non-apology" apology from them and their firm support of their branch managers incompetance and unprofessional conduct. These scumbags give every honest mechanic and car parts salesman a bad name, perpetuating every negative stereotype about disreputable mechanics. They only exist because people up here will shell out whatever rediculous sum they demand and keep coming back to have their broken cars, re broken. Go out of your way to avoid this place, a 20 minute drive to salt lake to deal with an honest outfit is absolutely worth it to me.

My wife brought our SUV in to have our brakes looked at for some rubbing / grinding noises. I know we needed new pads and possibly rotors. Shortly after dropping the car off she received a call saying it was absolutely critical that we replace front pads, rotors, and calipers and the same would be needed shortly for the rear. She was quoted $1100 for the fronts and $1400 for all 4. I told Burt Bros. not to do anything and that wed pick the car up. When my wife went in to pick up the keys she was told that they had quoted too high on labor and they would do the fronts for $900. I spent $350 for new pads and rotors for all four wheels and the calipers are in tip top shape. I think Burt Brothers tried to upsell needless parts and service to my wife and then balked when were told they would not get the business and tried to backpedal by "accidentally over quoting" This is not the first incident Ive had with a Park City Burt bros. trying to pull a shady move like this; I will not be taking any vehicles back in or recommending them to friends.

Used them for some front-end repairs on a Ford F250 truck when in a time pinch, and didnt have opportunity to seek out alternatives. They replaced a front wheel bearing and did some other front end work. This was in August 2014. Had to return within a week to have a fault with the ABS braking fixed (collateral damage from the repair). Found out when it snowed a few months later that the vacuum system for the 4WD was not working (more collateral damage). Burt Brothers had done more damage than repair. Then it was time to have a safety inspection in February 2015, and Burt Brothers failed their own work on the wheel bearing done 5 months prior. Again I had a bad front wheel bearing. This time my husband did the work myself, and made sure it was done right. Will not be returning for service, or tires, or even inspections. They look for anything wrong that they can make money repairing. Their estimates are high and the work is poor.
