This is specifically with the oil/tire service. It is an absolute joke. A couple weeks ago I went here to get my oil change and I arrived 20 min before they closed. The worker comes up to me and asks what I needed done to which I said I needed a standard oil change. He said they closed in 15 min (hinting that he didnt want to do it). No problem I have had multiple jobs in which I found it frustrating when people came in at the last minute so I said I would come back. Flash forward to today (2 weeks later because its difficult to set aside time to get this done). My family and I come into Wal-Mart to get some shopping done and decide to try to get the oil change done. We pull up and the lady says its going to take at least an hour. We said that was fine. She takes my info and says shell contact us when it is done. We waited a moment in the waiting room and I noticed they pulled our car in immediately (I thought maybe it wouldnt take quite as long as expected, but no big deal). Roughly an hour and a half later after we had slowly done our shopping we just thought we would check to see if our car was done. We noticed our car was parked outside so it most likely was. Another worker takes about 10 min to acknowledge us. When he does and we give him our tag he tells us that he could not get the oil seal off and that he cannot do our oil change..... He goes on to tell us that he would have to figure out who did our oil change before (Which was them) in order to point the finger at a specific person/company or whatever B.S. he was trying to feed me because today was the 3rd of July so maybe they didnt want to deal with it this evening. 1. I feel like Im a pretty easy going individual, but I dont like when my time is wasted. 2. If you dont want our business then dont have a tire/oil service. Either that or they need a new staff that cares about their position. 3. Be more courteous and text/call me if there is an issue with the car dont just wait for us to come to you. Not only that communicate when there is someone waiting to be helped. If youre busy just tell them youll be right with them. I only gave this location 2 stars because I have never had an issue with any other department. But this tire/oil service really destroyed my experience with Wal-Mart.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I tried to return an unopened, brand new electronic product that I had bought there previously. Problem was, I did not return in within their RIDICULOUS window of time (something like 15 days for electronics). I tried to compromise by asking for a gift card instead of my money back, which I would have turned around and spent in their store that very visit. I told them that I could understand them not taking it back if it was a discontinued item, or if it had been opened, but they were still selling it! They told me to view the return policy on electronics that was written on the wall behind the service counter. I could not read it without squinting. I used to spend about $300/week there on products and groceries. They rudely declined all my future business over a $100 electronic item because of their silly return policy. I wrote a letter to corporate to explain my anger, and I have never heard back from them (I submitted electronic feedback, as well as a hand-written letter). If you are looking for it, quality is not what you will find here. Convenience? Well, maybe--as they are open 24x7...but not the crowd of people youd want to be near in a dark alley; and any sort of benefit goes out the window with their ridiculous return policy (especially their electronics return policy). Be sure to read the fine print that you can barely see behind the wall of the Service counter--youll not find good service at Walmart. All you will find there is a bloated, classless retail giant who wants to put all the mom-and-pop stores (who still have decent customer service) out of business. Lastly, be suspicious of any 5-star ratings for this establishment without any real feedback--its very easy for a Walmart manager or Supervisor to post here just to smooth out their overall tanking rating. For as big as Walmart is, and as much money as they farm, they ought to have the simplest and greatest customer-beneficial return policy and put more research and pride into the products they ship in from sweatshops around the world.

(June 2015) Im a consistent shopper at this Wal-Mart. Best Points: - Most of the employees are kind and do try to help. - Movie prices are pretty great. They usually have a pretty decent selection of $5 movies. - The greeters do a great job, and Ive seen them allowed to sit sometimes recently, which is a relief. I always feel so bad when someone of advanced age has to stand the whole time doing that. Thats rough. Some of them make you want to skip a little and start whistling the opening tune to Andy Griffith. - Theres a Subway attached. - (For me), its location is almost too convenient. Haha. Worst Points: - At several busy times throughout the day, the lines are 20 transactions long (all of them at once- although thats not saying much since there are usually only 2-3 registers open at these times). Even though this happens at similar times of day over and over again, management does nothing about it. Sometimes they have 1 or 2 registers open, but no self check-outs. I mean, its four registers for one employee- why not use them? Maybe theres a good reason, but...Id like to hear it. - At any given time, there are many shelves empty all throughout the store. The Deli is almost never stocked in the evenings/dinner time. Not a huge deal if all this happens occasionally, but this Walmart has a particular reputation for it. And honestly, I dont think that its the fault of the employees. They seem to be understaffed, and I always see them working hard. - I havent been there late at night in a long time, but there used to be the most obnoxious beeping noise there sometimes at night. It was shrill, high-pitched, and It. Never. Stopped. Government-instituted method of brain-warping? You be the judge. - Sandal selection is great, but the formal shoe selection makes you feel sad feelings. Again, I harbor no blame for most of the employees there. I think its a management issue. It has been run quite well in the past...

Probably the worse WalMart I have ever been in. There are never enough checkers when it is crowded, the employees seem to have no idea where anything is in the store, the management likes to treat you like a common criminal when you complain to them and the return policies are horrible. The only great thing is the $5 movie bins! I went in there on a Saturday to get a bike for my little girl and they had none assembled, when I asked to get one assembled I was told they had no assembly on Saturdays only Sunday through Friday, What the heck!!! I would think they would have someone there on a Saturday! Another time I went in there with a gift card and it would not work the checker (who was actually very nice) called a manager and I was told by the manager that they could do nothing about it and when I asked if he could replace it his statement was "How do we know it is a good card" as if I had stolen it! I stated he could call the gift card group and he told me "We dont do that you need to do it" and turned around and walked away! I left the Lindon store went to American Fork and they gladly replaced the card for me. Bottom line if you need to go to Wal-Mart stay away from Lindon it is by far the worse store of any type i have ever been in.
