Took my TV in there to be repaired and the asked for $60 up front to tell me what was wrong with it. I had the tv apart as I replaced a DLP chip but then I was getting white lines down the screen, couldnt figure it out and since they where the closest I took it in. They made me put my tv back together and asked for the $60 dollars to begin. I get a call almost a week later saying its the DMD board to and would be $225 to fix with labor and parts. Part came in and it was not the cure. So another week goes by and they cal me and tell me it could be the main, whatever that meant and it will be very exspesnsive to fix, same day I get a call back and they tell me its the light engine. They wanted $40 to ship out the light engine and $40 for its return. Telling me that the light engine will most likely cost $300. After a labor quote the wanted $600 to fix my tv on top of the $60 I paid to have it looked at. I started researching online for the light engine and realized that it even through places like ebay I could of found the part cheaper. Frustrated I called Omega TV Repair in Mesa. Sent him a picture of my tv and the white lines, and he told me he will fix it for $160. Sure enough he did and had it done in about 4 hrs. So my tv sat at Godars for almost 3 weeks for what Omega did in 4 hrs. Save your self some time and money and get your tv fixed at Omega in mesa. I never leave reviews but after this experience I felt is was very well needed.

My experience with Godar was very bad. I bought a turntable, a receiver and speakers from Mike. He said they had been all serviced and were working perfectly. The Fisher turntable cueing did not work and the single record post had tape they had put around it and did not fit in the hole at all. I called to trade the receiver for an antenna. He agreed to do it and said they would be there at 9:00. I went in and his employee Zane (who would not give me his last name), said Mike would not be in till 11:00 and he would not complete the deal that Mike had agreed to. He said Mike would not answer the phone at home. I would not recommend doing business here.

Godar Electronics claims to be a repair shop however when i brought my tv to be repaired, they sat on it for over two months after that i had to come in three times to check the status of my tv by that time it was three months and finally the owner said he couldnt get the part from samsung. i couldnt believe that i paid $30 and waited so long to hear this weak excuse. I took the tv home (thankfully it was a flat screen) called samsung and was told they had the part. Why it took 3 months to accomplish what took me 15 minutes on the phone ill never know. Nice guys but poor customer service.

Godar has brought true sounding music back into our lives! This little shop is a treasure trove of sight and sound that should not be taken for granted. From speakers to turntables, radios to FM high-def antennas, you will find great deals on all of it. Mike (the shops owner) is a true Guru! He knows about old school sound, and his expertise is something he is willing to share with anyone smart enough to listen. Forget the sound of today, with its digitized devolution of quality. If you want to hear what music was meant to sound like, THIS is the place! Audiophiles - Mecca awaits you!

I brought in a 3 year old Infinity sub with a burnt circuit board and swollen capacitor. The unit had quit working and Infinity offered no help. Godar made an old school type repair to the circuit board and replaced the cap. The sub works wonderfully again, and I am impressed with Godars service in repairing what would probably be thrown away by most. They also finished the job the day after I dropped it off. Nice to find a real repair shop and not just a parts replacer.

Took my Marantz 4400 vintage reciever to Godar for service and repair. They did an amazing job. They replaced all the burned out lights and did a complete cleaning and bench test on it. Its working as good as the day I bought it in 1974. Their service technicians are very friendly and really seem to know their stuff. I would highly recommend Godar for service and repair of vintage stereo equiptment

Not the best place for record changer repair. For $85 they got my Dual 1215 motor running again but when they tried to make a fine set down adjustment, all auto functions went wacko. Mikes remedy? Use it as a manual turntable! My advice to anyone picking up an item here, is to test it out here before you leave the shop. Dont pay a penny until you know it works.
