I am posting this review after posting a very negative review regarding the South Salt Lake City Discount Tire Company store. The manager at the South Salt Lake City store, I have confirmed, has, shall we say.... issues... I came to the Bountiful location because I knew that Samuel was not representing Discount Tire Company in the way that I am certain his superiors would not approve of. I knew someone at Discount Tire Company had enough sense to honor their stellar guarantee, and without purposely being as unhelpful as they possibly could (which is what you will find at the South Salt Lake City location and Samuel.) Sure enough. I came in and Cally Cason, a Senior Assistant Manager (with brain and common sense both in one package) listened as I explained what Samuel had been doing. My, how things are different at the two locations. Cally understood what I was telling him, and understood the very dangerous vehicle which I had been left with thanks to Samuel at their other location. Where Samuel could only tell me "nope, it didnt show up yet" and "a computer glitch problem.." and all the other typical excuses and lies you expect from a dishonest 5 year old, Cally Cason simply did a quick check on his computer, found me a tire that I could have on the car that day at their Riverdale store, and offered without hesitation, to repair my wheel studs and make my car safe to drive again. Cally had an understanding of what kind of ramifications the company would experience if my wheels kept flying off the car at high speeds and skidding me down the freeway. Cally had enough sense not to argue about $6 lug nuts and who was responsible for paying for them, because he knows $6 lug nuts are cheap compared to multi-million dollar lawsuits involving death and negligence. He didnt even hesitate to remedy the situation, and as quickly as possible. Furthermore, he was decent about it. He didnt accuse me of the ridiculous things Samuel was implying with me, and he did not intentionally try and jerk me around. He acted as you would expect a professional manager to act, and he has kept a customer for Discount Tire Company. The Bountiful store is where my family and I will be buying our tires from now on.

Had a rough first time at DT during the purchase for two tires. Was told Id be given one back after repairing it to keep as a spare, but was later told neither were repairable and couldnt keep either. Also found a third mystery tire of a completely different size on my car upon pick up, and my TPM sensor wasnt reset, as it should have been. Called the manager first thing the next business day and was given their explanation as to what happened (put a different sized tire on to offset something that wasnt balanced?), but could tell I wasnt satisfied. Calley was able to correct the error by promising to reset my sensor as well as replace the mystery tire with one of the same all-seasons I had just purchased for my two other tires. EDIT: 6 months later of continual issues with my Tire Pressure Sensor always turning on my dash and one of the newly replaced tires developing a slow leak that Discount Tire assured on 3 different occasions didnt have a hole or leak anywhere... I finally took my car to another shop where they informed me that, yes, my tires were fine, but one of my rims were bent and thats why my tire was leaking. After 6 months and 5 different visits to Discount Tire in Bountiful to have them check why my tire was constantly leaking air, and they managed to totally neglect the actual problem and sucker me for a new set of tires, instead! Never will I ever return to Discount Tire nor will I ever recommended their services. What a bunch of crooks!!

Not Real Happy. I have been buying my tires for me, my family, and my business at this discount tire for years. Probably at least 10 sets of tires. I got a flat and had my son take the tire in to get it repaired. It turns out their was a slit in the sidewall. So the tire needed to be replaced. No problem. The sales guy ended up convincing him to replace all four tires with what I think is an inferior tire. There was plenty of tread on the other tires and a full size spare. So in my opinion they should have replaced 2 tires at most and made sure the tires were at least equivalent quality. the new tires ride rough and I am sure there is either a bubble or one tire is out of balance. I took the vehicle back and they offered to replace the tires with some comparable to the originals. The problem is they wanted to charge full price for new valve stems, rebuilding the pressure sensors, tire balancing, mounting, and $25/tire to transfer the road hazard warranty. Doesnt seem right. $400+ plus the difference in the cost of the tires. Hmmm I guess Ill have to find another provider.

I went to discount tire in bountiful for a simple tire rotation. They said it would be a 45 minute wait. About an 65 minutes later, they came out and told me they had broken 2 lug nuts and a wheel stud. They didnt have the correct lug nuts for my truck, so they put on some other ones, making it so the center cap of the wheel wouldnt fit on anymore. They gave me a voucher to get the stud replaced (but not the lug nuts) across the street at tunex, saying they didnt have the tools necessary to fix it. Problem is, I was now in a big hurry and didnt have time to go wait an additional hour at another place. I live in Morgan, so I called today and asked if they could re write the voucher for a place closer to me. They flat out refused. Ill never visit discount tire again.

I cannot say enough good things about Adam and his crew at the Bountiful Discount Tire location. I have been going to the Bountiful location for years. One time they made a mistake that caused damage to my vehicle. After my mechanic brought it to my attention, I brought the matter to Adam. He promised me that they would make it right for me. I had the work done at my mechanic and gave copies of the invoices to Adam for reimbursement. I was expecting delays and hassle. What I got was a check for the full amount in less than a week. What Adam, and Discount Tire got was a customer for life. I did not think that any one in the business world cared about their customers any more. I am soo happy to report that Discount Tire has proved me wrong!

First visit to this store I was very displeased with my service. 2 weeks later I decided to go talk to them about why I was unhappy with my visit. They more than made up for my first visit. I will definitely be making visits to this store in the future. *2 year edit* I have been going to this location for over 2 years now. I have been very pleased with my overall service. They always get the job done for me and are always willing to check the tire pressure in my wifes car for me. *9/25/14 EDIT* Just bought another set of tires from Discount Tire. Best place to buy from. Pricing online is just the cherry on the top. Always top notch service and quality work.
