NOT A NON-PROFIT-COMMUNITY NEEDS TO KNOW THIS-PLEASE READ ON!! I Purchased two chair 1/2 price sale - couldnt pick up on MON due to HOliday - after numerous attempts to call them for two days-there was no answer - this is ALWAYS the case - justified many times by GAIL - mgr who works there. Tuesday we arrived to pick up the chairs-which had been sold that day at full price to another customer, and gail refused to give me refund>My son was there in person, and I was on speaker phone. I told her I would stopped payment on the chk and she acted as if all of this was my fault! They got 50.00 from me - and 100.00 from another customer regular price on tuesday!. HI claims to be non-profit-wrap around this-they receive products free from community, they sell those items back the community, they have thier recycle, and box program that are under contract with other local businesses-and VOC REHAB-when sending clients to HI for help with employment-this too, is a paid service-as I saw a purchase order from VR to HI for me in the amount of $30,000.00 (30K) i went three times. I was hired to work at the HI store;(This was 3 years ago, so trust me, not a disgruntled employee..) It was SHITE then and SHITE now. I worked for 2 months, I was terminated from a hospitalization and complications after an urgent surgery that had me in the hospital for 10 days> of course they cant FIRE someone for medical reasons and an organization that is supposedley..- SUPPORTING THOSE WITH DISABILITIES?? Hmm.. What they then told me was from (Ona) they can fire anyone in the thirty day probationary period with no reason>however, because I insisted on better customer service, and complained about gail not answering the phone, and encouraging that fact to employees-bcuz she was manager (I didnt know she was manager and shocked that one with her negativity, demeanor, and rudeness to customers, was a manager at all) However, she passed on to ONA and VR that I was "Difficult" when I was complaining about the habits of terrible customer service) Even as a worker, I would never get an answer at the store-they never answered the phone-saying the store takes priority-but even when NOT BUSY-SHE would never answer the phones, and actually encouraged this act with other employees. Terrible customer service-they justified my termination because of the "Probationary" period and said that I was difficult bcuz i was unhappy about the lack of respect to the customers, and refusal to answer the phone - I was very frustrated at their conduct. But double selling products, the price of thier products that are donated and sold back to the community?? Enough is enough - I am blowing the whistle - better business bureau, IRS, and other agencies against abuse of non-profits. I am curious now, how much the new CEO of Helena, Industries salary is..? And that they are not servicing those with disabilities free of charge-which the community believes-it holds a 30,000.00 price tag that the government agency, Voc Rehab pays to them as well.. SO WHAT DO THEY ACTUALLY PROVIDE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A NON PROFIT FOR ALL THE MONEY COMING IN? Good question isnt it.. HELENA NEEDS TO KNOW!!

Advice: go to goodwill and good Samaritan first then you will see the prices here are sometimes tripled! I was shocked to go here on half off day everything except their sports section was half price and even then i didnt walk out with anything, check this stuff on ebay and you willllll see for yourself!

The tidiest thrift store in town! Focused on an outreach for those who need extra help getting through the day, HITS must be the cleanest, best organized, well laid out thrift shop in Helena. Wide variety of lightly used, affordable items. Staff are all professional and friendly.

I work here, so yeah. Go buy those refurbished computers, I worked hard testing and fixing them. They might seem pricey, but theyre actually a good deal, and are priced based on past sales on eBay for the same machines.

This is not a thrift shop at all, they have a little resale suck shop inside, and their prices are over retail on many items. Like most fake Charities, this store is a scam.
