Recently I got new tires on my audi wagon. I had to sell my newer vw back to Volkswagen because I couldnt really afford it. I got a great deal with the tdi buy back deal and on a used audi for the family. It needed some work and new wheels and tires because mine were in bad shape. I went with discount tire because of their good prices and warranty nation wide. I did have some major issues with their copperas cove TX store in the past, but figured I would have better luck with the Harker Heights TX store this time. I found the tires I wanted, researched, and ordered them to be installed. I also bought a set of inexpensive wheels in my budget that I was told would fit my wagon no problem. I got the wheels and brought them in to have my new tires balanced and installed. The tech came out and said they didnt clear my airbags, my car has factory air ride. He told me to just get some small hubcentric spacers and I would be fine. I told one of the assistant managers to load the tires up in the back and Id add the spacers and Id be converting the wheels bolts to studs and he had to issue and said nothing. Over the next few months I rebuilt my front suspension, fixed the brakes, fixed the suspension, replaced the tie rods, and got two alignments, my car still vibrated at higher speeds. I went back into the Harker Heights location to have my balance checked. They inspected my tires noticing the studs and spacers and said nothing. After waiting just over an hour they brought my car in, moments later the tech came out and said they would not work on my car because of the studs. I asked to speak to a manager when the tech was unable to explain why other then "we cant". The manager came out with a group of employees behind him and a very rude and aggressive attitude. I asked him why they wouldnt work on my car? He explained that it was "company policy". I was confused because I have been a mechanic for over a decade and knew that studs were stronger then wheels bolts and are required for most racing applications. I then asked if they could back my car out and I could loosen the nuts myself, then tighten afterwards to eliminate any responsibility and would even sign a waiver. They refused and told me I had to remove the wheels myself, bring them in, have them balanced, then reinstall the wheels myself. I explained I didnt have another vehicle and this wasnt an option. The manager became very angry when I attempted to gain information and started raising his voice accusing me of being stupid for having studs on my can and telling me how my wheels are going to fall off. All of this in front of other customers. At this point my ptsd was in full effect and I was having a panic attack. I stayed as calm as I could as I was insulted by a man who insulted me and my education. I explained to him I paid for a warranty and was told my equipment was fine, then was refused service once I attempted to use my warranty by the same people who told me Id be fine. He then ordered the assistant manager to cancel my warranty without my permission. I attempted to speak with discount tire again where I was told if I wanted to resolve this, I would have to spend half of my monthly income, which isnt going to happen with a stay at home wife and two young boys, to buy a new set of wheels with the offset needed to not need the spacers, then they would allow me to bring my car into their stores. I guess discount tire really doesnt care about vets. They dont care that they lie to their customers. They dont care that they gave a combat veteran with ptsd a panic attack in their store while they publicly embarrassed him. I guess they really just care about taking our money.

This has been an awful experience today. One of my rear tires on my 2010 Camaro has a slow leak. My wife took the car to discount today only to find out that the tire is unserviceable ( I had tires only 9 months and have full replacement warranty on them) and they cannot do anything for me but give me credit for the tires and I pay them $301.50 today. I asked them why did I have to pay for the full warranty if its not going to be honored and I have to buy new tires when there is a problem.
