I understand that each PostNet is individually owned and operated, and that service will vary from location to location, but this was crazy. I recently used the PostNet location at 21019 US HWY 281 N. Suite 830 San Antonio, TX 78258. I thought my total seemed a bit high for UPS Ground Shipping ($25.65 for an 11 pound box with no insurance or extras) but thought nothing more of it until I got home. I checked the UPS site for a quote and it was $16.00. I called my mother, who mailed a box (with the exact same measurements, weighing in at 12 lbs and it had extra insurance) through UPS Ground and her total was only $18 and some change. This was almost a $9 difference. I returned to my location and the man said that what I had was a UPS quote, not a PostNet set price. Almost 50% mark up is PostNets set price?! I was appalled. I told the man that it was ridiculous. He told me that this is PostNets set price and that I am free to choose to go elsewhere. Well guess what? Im not going back and I decided to put out this warning about this specific location. In this economy money is precious and I wont be sending another dime your way.

Horrible customer service! I just tried to ship a package here via FedEx and all I needed was one piece of tape to seal the box that I had already packed. They tried to charge me four dollars just to seal the box! That is absolutely horrible customer service. I wouldnt mind paying if I had them pack the box but it was already packed and all I needed was one piece of tape to seal it. I am never coming back here again.
