Recently had am overall great experience here with employees being willing to go above and beyond for just a couple items. One even tried to help me get more coupons from as many sources as I could. Only problem was that I was in a hurry and the older female cashier was clearly new. It was sort of my fault cause my card didnt have enough on it, and I was splitting payments with cash and card AND using various coupons on a dying (dim lighted) cell phone. I know my transaction had to be partly refunded and figured out (took 2 employees and a manager) BUT I am a firm believer that the pace should be at the customers pace, if Im looking like Im in a rush, please dont make me wait while your new elderly employee asks a bunch of questions and you proceed to answer them on MY TIME. My receipt couldve been handed to me at least 3-5 minutes sooner if I didnt have to wait on THEM to go through the learning process. Especially since you dont let the next person come up till you call on them. That was a bit inconsiderate of me and my time. It ended up making my husband late for work. Which I did mention I had to hurry back for.

This was my first trip to JoAnns on Bandera Rd San Antonio. I decided I wanted to make a quilt with only a vague idea how. There were 3 different ladies that helped me. All were EXTREMELY patient and Polite and answered ALL my stupid questions. They helped me select fabric and supplies I needed. They even gave me some suggestions to help me save money by showing ways to cut fabric to save yardage, showed me tools that were on sale, and told me about, and helped me download the JoAnn application on my phone to be able to use a Big Savings Coupon! The store seemed fairly busy, but none of the Staff tried to hurry me or seemed to be in a rush to do something else. Since my visit, my quilt is coming along nicely, thanks to the additional help they gave over the phone, when Ive had additional problems and questions. They have found a loyal customer in me! They also have small classes, that are low priced, covering various topics! Havent taken one yet, but Ive enrolled in one! Thanks Ladies of JoAnns! Yall rock!

I like all the fabric choices at Jo-Ann but the employees at the Bandera store are disinterested and unfriendly. I asked one lady where a brand-name fabric was and she said without looking at me "if we have it, it will be at the front of the store." It wasnt. I went up and down every aisle until I found it. Then I took a number and waited 20 minutes to get my fabric cut. The girl behind the counter also appeared disinterested and unfriendly. I asked what the total would be and she looked put out as she looked it up. I made a funny comment about my expensive taste in fabrics and chuckled...nothing..no smile, no acknowledgement. Is being an unfriendly, sour-puss a requirement to work at Jo-Anns?

The only good thing about Joanns is the wide selection. Its a big store compared to Hancock but thats also a bit of a downside because its a bit impersonal there and the lines are crazy long at least for now since they just opened. Im sorry, Im just not patient enough to take a number. But it is a very clean and tidy store for now of course, I will say that. But I did notice a strange smell around the center of the store which made me want to walk away. Its a bit more pricey than other places but I did see some cute baskets for 50%off to end on a positive note.

Very Poor Customer Service. On a Saturday, 3 associates cutting fabric, 2 leave the area with 10+ customers needing fabric cut. Other associates standing around talking and restocking in lieu of cutting fabric. This will not encourage me to spend my money at this establishment since Customer Service is not a priority. This is the 2nd instance in the past 6 months where i have put my goods down and left the store to go shop at another fabric store.

I love this store I loose half my paycheck to it some days! Great selection and while most of the staff is extremely friendly its understandable when theyre not at their best. You try getting paid that much to deal with some prissy wenchs bs because she cant see the fabric in her face. Other than some customers being dicks because the associates arent kissing their asses I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

Very poor customer service. I had the wrong yardage cut, by 1.5 yards, and consequently overpaid for the fabric. When I returned to the store to return the fabric, they would only refund me the money I paid for the fabric I never received. They wouldnt remedy the problem that they had created in the first place and were very unfriendly about the entire situation. I will not be shopping here again.

Awful customer service.I greeted the cashier and she didnt respond, I thought she didnt hear me so I said " Hi" again , she just looked at me and kept on the check out.then just told me " its 12,75" or whatever.I had it , " you know what, Ill come back later" not going back there, Sorry, I used to love this store, but they need to hire people who are willing to be polite and friendly.

They have a decent craft selection, but it is extremely difficult to navigate on a crowded day. The aisles are so tiny there is only room for barely one cart in some areas many times people would have to back up to let others by.

Im a self-taught novice when it comes sewing. The ladies in the fabric section are very friendly, knowledge, willing to listen, and impart advice. So thankful for their assistance & appreciate them sharing their expertise.
