I usually dont post reviews, but my experience at Eyemax Optical was less than satisfactory. After the doctor diagnosed me with an eye condition, she refused to send the pre-authorization for my insurance to cover the expenses. Mind you, she sent the prescription over, but refused to send the pre-authorization needed. I have been in contact with the staff for weeks, and continue to get different stories. The first told me she would send the pre-authorization over, and once I tried the prescription for a week she would then allow more than one refill. Now I am finding out she wants additional money after I saw her less than two months ago. You can never get ahold of Dr. Liu on the phone, and my appointment felt very rushed. I do not recommend this doctor at all, and will file a grievance against them with my insurance company if this matter is not resolved. P.S: What their site fails to tell you is if you have polycarbonate lenses, which are required for those with stronger prescriptions, the lenses are not included in the package. The only lenses included are plastic lenses, despite their misleading advertisement on the home page that states standard single lens are included in the package. Standard can fall into a category of items, and I myself do have single vision lens. This is very misleading and deceptive to consumers, and I believe this needs to be investigated.

Purchased my glasses 12/10. Got them 12/28. The prescription I got was the same as the one the Dr prescribed but the prescription ended up not being right since I couldnt see out of the glasses. I ended up returning them. I also ordered contacts at the same time which I ended up having a terrible experience with. Again got that done the same day as the glasses. Slow to contact me about them and still havent even come in yet. Been fighting with these people since 12/10! The prescription is wrong for me anyway and the lady who does the contacts told me she ordered another pair without first consulting me first and had the Dr lower the prescription without me seeing the Dr first. First of all the prescription isnt right to begin with so the contact prescription will be wrong then you cant legally change a prescription without consulting the patient. I never heard of such a thing. I told them to cancel my contacts but she had ordered the trial anyway. Poor service. Will never go back.

First eye Dr I have felt confident that I am getting the correct prescription in years! From walking in the door to leaving was treated like a VIP -Dr Rang was awesome and took the time to make sure my new prescription was perfect!! The office staff was friendly and professional and most of all- they actually acted like they enjoyed being at work!! One the glasses side, the young lady in the office took the time to listen to what I was looking for and help me find regular and sunglasses that were just what I was looking for!! She did a wonderful job and was a pleasure to work with getting me glasses that gave me a entirely new look!! I have found my new eye Dr and place to get glasses for sure!! Will be a repeat customer without a doubt

MESQUITE TEXAS: The front desk young lady was very delightful on the phone and when we arrived. The eye doctor was equally impressive, very nice, didnt act like we were bothering her, or hurrying the exam to get rid of us, like at some "eye exam mills". The full exam was done in 1/2 hour, and they left enough time in the schedule so that she could explain what she did and what she found. The eyeglass personnel were great also. She explained the layout of the store, and then left us alone to shop for the frames, no pressure to buy the most expensive frames. Prices were excellent, the labeled price INCLUDED THE LENSES! Only extras were transitions and glare coating. They already had scratch resistant coating. I give an A +!:-) :-) :-)

Everyone there is so nice, from the front desk ladies - to the Dr. - to the ladies helping you pick out your frames. They are very patient and go above and beyond. I was running about 10 mins late to my sons first appointment and they told me to still come on in and i was seen right away. The Dr was great with my son. Very nice. As I was leaving I paid with my FSA card and the young lady checking me out was already printing me a detailed receipt without me having to ask and even printed out my sons RX for Me to have since I mentioned to her earlier that I sometimes buy my sons glasses online. Great teamwork as the office flow is seamless. Will definitely be making my other 2 sons appointments as well as myself.

Eyemax is great place to get glasses. This place has all of the latest fashions in frames. The staffs are young yet very professional, helpful and not pushy. They allow you to take your time in selecting the frames and go over the benefits for different frames and type lenses you want to get with the frames you selected. Not only did I end up getting my glasses there, I have referred my parents and my friends there as well. My dad loves his new glasses. He had cataract surgery and need a different prescription, which no one could satisfy him until Eyemax. Thank you Eyemax for taking care of him

Dr. AtashiRang and his staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. My appointment for contacts and glasses was scheduled for 12:45. I finished my one-page new patient form and was taken back to an exam room immediately. The equipment was state of the art, and they had me examined and in a pair of contacts in less than 20 minutes. I was able to see, get out the door, and be back at home by 2pm! The cost was very reasonable, considering the kind of contacts I have to wear. All in all, it was a great experience, and I would recommend them to anyone who has an eyecare need or concern.

Staff has no knowledge of the products they carry. waited a week for the call. nothing. i called. they said glasses would b ready in a few days. no call. i called. "oh yeah we have them" went to get them. right lens was out of focus. they said thats how bifocals are. i asked, why is the left one ok? answer. well, thats how its supposed to b. really? Staff is inattentive and have no knowledge of the products they carry. im going to get this taken care of and NEVER RETURN. take notice. all good posts r 3 years old. new management i guess. dont b fooled by old posts

I loved my experience at EyeMax Optical, it was awesome! The very helpful, and professional staff help me decide what was best for my daughter and i purchased my daughters very first pair there. She was somewhat irritated at first being new to it all, but the more the ladies who worked there spoke to her and made her feel beautiful and special she was happy with her visit and was excited when she put them on for the first time! Thank you Ladies, the service was great as well as the prices and quality. They glasses are beautiful, and my daughter is happy!

Took my teenager in for new glasses. The selection was great and the prices were even better. We found exactly what he wanted with the help of the very knowledgeable staff. The process was simple and the pricing straightforward. We were promised the glasses by a certain day and received a call to let us know they were actually ready early. Now, my son has a great looking, well fitting pair of glasses that he feels good about wearing. A great value and a painless process.We will definitely shop there again!
