I would have given them a 5 star review had Ernest, the "manager" not called me. He should have continued to let Alejandro handle my car search because Ernest was very disrespectful and flat out rude. I went into DriveTime to look at vehicles as I wasnt completely sure of what I was looking for. Alejandro was very friendly and showed me a few vehicles that I didnt quite like, so I went home and did more research. I found a car that I specifically wanted after driving in a friends car, so I called Alejandro to let him know of that specific car. He informed me that they didnt have the car but the inventory replenishes every week, so I said that Id be willing to wait it out. The next day I get a voicemail from Ernest asking me to call him and I did so. He was very condescending during our entire phone call. He told me that they had a car that was a year older than the one I wanted and that I needed to come test drive it ( he didnt ask me if I wanted to, told me I needed to). He repeatedly said, "and then convince me as to what the difference is between the cars.I dont see the difference so you can try to convince me as to why their different." Excuse me?? Whos buying a car and why should I convince you of anything? The obvious fact that the body styles are different is not enough? Then as I was explaining why I wanted the car that I did, I heard a beep in my ear and a few seconds later a message began playing saying that the maximum time for this recording has been reached and to replay the recording press 1 and so forth. So at some point of the conversation he began recording me without my knowledge or consent. Why Im not sure but as soon as the message started to play he was ready to get off of the phone with me. I will say that the sales consultant I initially worked with was fine but Ernest eliminated any chance of me purchasing a car with their location. Please realize that when youre searching for a vehicle YOU are the customer. Dont feel pressured into buying something you dont want, especially something that is as big as a car no matter what youre credit score is. There are plenty of companies that will work with you if you are diligent in your search. Im not saying dont do business with DriveTime at all, but I am saying #1 make sure you arent being recorded because that was just crazy, and #2 stick to your guns and be willing to move on if they dont have what you want or dont understand what good customer service is.

First time car buyer here - I had an amazing experience at the Lewisville location. I was exhausted from going from dealership to dealership and hunting online all week only for aggressive salesmen to call me every hour to try to put me in a vehicle I wasnt comfortable with to meet their quotas. Finally I came across DriveTime, filled the application out online in under a minute, and came in the location within the hour to a relaxed sales staff who genuinely wanted to help. Its hard to even describe the sales personnel here as "salesman" because in reality they counsel you on what would be your best overall vehicle selection, but never push you or make you uncomfortable. I especially appreciated Alejandro, who really listened to what I was needing in a vehicle and went out of his way to make it happen. I drove away in my dream car without sitting around at a dealership being passed back and forth for hours trying to negotiate a price. At DriveTime there is low, no-haggle pricing and they explain everything clearly throughout the entire process if you want to finance. If youre debating between dealerships in the metroplex, dont settle for poor customer service from creepy salesmen who only have their commission in mind. Go to DriveTime where youll be treated like a friend and have all of your concerns acknowledged with respect. (But seriously ask for Alejandro) :)

I am going to admit that going thru this whole situation each time I have to get a new car makes my stress go thru the roof but from the night I went to the Lewisville location and they let me in even though I got there 20 to 30 min late Rocky let me in anyway and answered as many questions as he could to make me feel comfortable. I went back a couple of days later and met Hugo and he was very honest with what we had to work with and he again stayed with me one night until 9 oclock. More than an hour past the time he was supposed to get off to let me look at all the options I was looking out. I went back today and he came up with a few more options for me than they had before and he had truly listened to all my wants and needs. I ended up going with a different car than I originally wanted but truthfully I didnt need that much car for that price anyway. So truthfully it turned out the option he found me ended up being exactly what I needed. It truly was a great experience with Hugo as well as Rocky making sure I got thru the final paperwork effortless and easy. Thanks so much guys!

My experience was horrible! Rocky Byers and Sara Crane are extremely rude and unprofessional. I bought one car from here and it started acting crazy maybe an hour after I left the lot, they worked with me to get another one and one week later my car isnt starting and when i take it to get looked at the mechanic tells me my car is jacked up and there is no way anyone should be sold a car like this. When I went to address the problem I had to call the police and the two individuals listed above and the cops were more accommodating than the employees at DriveTime. Also the police told me they had been called there 20 times in the past month for similar situations. I hope they both get fired because they are absolutely horrible. I will never go there again and I wish I never stepped foot in this establishment. I had to give them a star to post this and warn everyone but they deserve -10 stars. Save yourself the trouble and dont go here. I promise the car may look nice and seem like a great deal but its not worth it.

Drive time is the worse place ever. I purchased a car Jan. 18, 2017. 6 days later Jan. 24 the water pump busted. Yes the warranty paid for it but still you dont expect a car you have had only 6 days to break down. Got the car back and then 4 days after that Jan. 29 the Radiator hose blew. Again yes they paid for it however i was told by customer service what did i expect what i buy a car with 93,000 miles on it. On the 1st the check oil light came on and I had been told everything had been checked and changed when I purchased the car. I go and have oil changed and was told the air filter was nasty and haddnt been changed in a long time. Here is it Feb. 10 and now my car horn will go off randomly when i drive and none can figure out why. They have i have a 5 day return on cars but because everything started happening on the 6th day they have refused to help me out by letting me trade cars. This car has been in the shop more than I have gotten to drive it. DONT BUY FOR DRIVE TIME
