Was really excited to come in when I heard they were black owned, but was really disappointed when I left. The customer service here is lacking...severely. I visited the store yesterday for the first time, I called first to see if they had the particular item that I needed. The first call, it rang a few times, someone picked up and hung up without saying anything. I called back and it just rang. Despite this I went in anyway. When I entered, I wasnt greeted and wasnt asked if I needed help finding anything. (Even though there was a young lady in the back scrolling through her phone, who then proceeds to come to the front and scroll on a laptop.)

I absolutely love Empress! They have great prices. Many items are priced lower than other beauty supply stores and even big chains like WalMart. I have always received good customer service. Every time that I have asked for them to get an item for the store, they have accommodated me. I am so glad to be able to support a black owned beauty supply store.
