I have been a customer at various HEBs for many years and have gone to this location many times before. Never had a bad experience until this past week. I had a prescription to pick up and did a little shopping before heading to the pharmacy. I had 12 items, mostly health and beauty with the largest item being orange juice. I approached the counter and asked if I can check out my other items there. Something I had done many times before with no issues. However, on this day, even with no other customers in line, I was told by one of the pharmacy employees Ryan, I believe was her name, that they were not allowed to check out that many items back there. I knew this to be false and after paying for my prescription, I approached a manager to ask if that was their policy. He told me it was not and apologized for the situation. If the employee was just feeling lazy, she should have called someone else to check me out. Hopefully it had nothing to do with my ethnicity, but it made me think that maybe it did. Bad customer service and very unprofessional

I came in for advice as I am dying of a cold , dont have family or help with my breastfed baby here . I was looking for some cold and allergy medicine. Jennifer today made me feel like a bad mother; I sat and cried in my car. I understand I could risk drying up my milk supply , but I need to care for my baby while my husband works. Her last advice was "well, its not OK" saying it as in if my supply decreases and I have to use formula . my babys breastfed for almost 10 months. Instead of judging my attempt to find a remedy and recommend something else she walked away. I found her willingness to help very poorly and unprofessional. Not only with me but with others waiting for a consult and she would ignored them. I usually come to this pharmacy as everyone else is always so nice and caring , bad day maybe?

The pharmacist, (I believe her name was Jennifer) explained in detail my medication and was very nice. I dont agree with some of the bad reviews here, I have always had a good experience. I feel bad for the girl at the register, she had to call my insurance a couple times but in the end she helped me get a discount and called me when my prescription was ready.

I switched from a national chain pharmacy to H.E.B. and have been really happy. Response time is uniformly much faster than I experienced with the old one, prices are better, and the pharmacist Jennifer really seems to know her stuff, and communicates well, and with empathy.
