Hi I am a 14 year old kid who went to see a movie at the Rave theater. The movie had a homosexual refrence and it was offensive. It is completely against my beliefs that homosexuality is a sin and so I went and complained to the theater that I should be told if there is content like this in a PG-13 movie. The booth teller offered me my money back and I was very grateful. Then the manager came and wouldnt let me have the money or go back into the theater even though there was at least 20 minutes left in my movie. I was polite and did not do anything wrong. So I sat in the lobby of the mall (not theater) and waited for my ride. Then the mall security came and told me to go outside and wait for my ride. It was very cold outside and I did not want to go and then the mall security flashed their flashlights in my eyes and told me to go outside. I then went outside in the cold without a jacket and waited for my ride. Outside I found a bunch of creepy adults and thought I could easily get kidnapped. 20 minutes later my ride arrived and I called Rave motion pictures and told them I was very upset with the way things were handled. Then I tried to call Ridgmar mall and it just kept giving me the same opption of extensions. I am a good kid I wasnt being a disturbance or anything. I was furious with the way things were handled and I dont think I will go back there.

I give it a five star because its my favorite mall. I use to work at this mall more than seven years ago, it has more customer and people to visit. Now the mall is lacking customers, many people ask why the mall is not renovating or making it better without knowing that if money doesnt flow in the mall its impossible to make it stand out or do renovations. It is all mainly its neighborhood, people starting moving out to live in other areas, which left Ridgmar mall with limited customers. That lead to the loss of many customers, this is the reason why Macys, Dillars, Nemus Marcus starting losing customers and were lead to close their locations. If big retailers dont rent at the mall and close down the store, there is not enough money/income flowing for the mall to renovate or try to fix the problem. Another reason could be that build of the naval location, which lead to lose more customers. Its not the malls problems, but the location fault that many people are moving out the neighborhood which lead to lose significantly its premium customers. Unfortunately stopping people from moving out a neighborhood cant be controlled, but hope Ridgmar mall doesnt close in the future years. I still give it a five stars because it will always be my favorite mall.

Awesome mall, terrible movie theatre management. It seems its a common complaint as well, but heres my story anyway. I went with a few friends to go see a PG-13 movie, no problem there since we are all 15-17. As I walked up and purchased my ticket with what little cash I had from my job as a waiter I got off from just a couple hours before, it seemed to be going well. Of course, my mom calls saying she demands I be home, "Okay, no biggy, I just bought my ticket, Ill go return it." The person in the box proceeds to tell me that I paid with a card, and unless I showed the card, I would get no refund. I reminded them that I paid cash, told them to even check their security cameras. Thats when the manager walked up and said "That wont be necessary, you will not get a refund especially acting like this." ...and thats when my friends went off, and told them all the things I wanted to, but was too shy to say. All 5 of us got kicked out of the mall, no refunds, and call for rides home. I was beyond frustrated, havent gone back to the theatre since.

UPDATE: Spoke too soon apparently! Im back at Ridgmar Mall on 3/5/16 and Ive discovered TWO NEW DEVELOPMENTS. When I was here last I didnt know that the Macys Store is closing & pulling out of Ridgmar Mall. At the moment I dont know why but it closes in just over a week from now. Additionally, Im now told that the Dillards Store is closing but will be reopening as a Dillards Close-Out. NOW that makes 2 ANCHOR STORES - MACYs & DILLARDS CLOSING AT RIDGMAR MALL. Im very sad as this seems to indicate that Ridgmar is on the decline again. I cant imagine why. The population is here. The mall is usually teeming with business. Oh well. I guess Ill be driving farther to go to a Mall that is able to retain its anchor stores. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Decent selection of stores. Was a dying Mall as recent as 10 years ago but has somehow been revived and seems to once again be on a trajectory for growth. This side of town desperately needs a Mall like Ridgmar as there is no other Mall in the North Central, City core or North Western sections of Fort Worth.

Whats new for Ridgmar? One of the malls anchors (Macys) is closing down and in the process of their liquadation sale as we speak, not to mention Neimans is too leaving at the beginning of 2017. In my humble opinion? Theres no way this mall can survive with 2 vacant anchors with only Dillards. Sears, and JCPenney to anchor. In addition, many of their worthwhile stores actually within the mall are beginning to leave. Forever 21 and Aeropostale recently left, Chilis has been vacant for years, and DQ left last year. This mall is probably at 20-30% vacancy, which is really pretty bad and just keeps worsening. It seems that theyre trying to brighten up and update the mall a bit. (paint the main cordor white and remove the large hanging airplane from the ceiling), but will small things like that really be enough to revive Ridgmar?

Ridgmar Mall has been a favorite stop for 40 years, they keep it clean and nice looking, it doesnt have high end stores like NM but I never shop there anyway, I love JCPenny, and all the specialty stores, I always get an icee at the cookie store and I took my grandson on an animal ride all over the mall but his favorite is the train ride that zooms in a circle from one end to the other. Once a month they have kids DAY, with crafts and fun things for kids 11-12pm I believe, perfect for my grandson. I cant wait until they get a few restaurants inside for my date night...movie shipping and dinner what a perfect evening.

Great mall, many different store selections, the movie theater (Rave) is awesome. The food court has a decent selection of places to eat. The only thing I dont like is that the vendors that set up in the walkways are constantly bugging you trying to get you to buy their over priced, low quality items & most of them dont know how to take NO for an answer so sometimes you have to be stern & on occassion straight up rude to get them to leave you alone. But overall its a great place to shop & even better place to go watch a movie. Just beware of the homeless & vagrants that hang around outside begging for money.
