Definitely needs more stores and a main attraction. Would be better if they did some remodeling as well. Security needs to do a better job as far as who they kick out. Not to knock homeless or anything but they shouldnt be allowed in the mall to beg people who are trying to enjoy their day. There are brand stores GNC which is global, Champs, Sears, and Burlington... A movie theater and a small clean and sweep of some of the places would help. Do some secret shopping on those unheard of places and perfume ppl. One girl is nasty and Im not talking about her teeth, her demeanor is overly sexualized. The others need to have set prices and quit hussling people. Its bad when security and other people tell you dont buy phones from the (phone) shops. A boy got huddled out of $300 the guy told him it was brand new phone. His mom made him take it back because it clearly wasnt and they didnt want to do a refund when he just bought it. Anyway, its not dangerous like it used to be police station in there cop outside at all times. They just need to stay on top of security, bring more to mall, and take away the "hood" so people can feel like they are at a luxury mall while still in the hood.

I happened to be across town and decided to see what the mall was like. I worked at a game storethere for 4 years back in 1996. I couldnt believe how far down the abyss this place has hit. Its just absolutely abysmal!!! Ghetto stores with zero character (you can go to Big T for the quality they sell) with main stores hanging on by a thread, dozens of kiosks with no one working at them, escalators that dont work, a sickening food court, half the mall boarded up since JC penny left, Sears and Burlington carrying ridiculously low inventory??? Does anyone care??? What happened to the "were building a movie theather" gag thats been going since UA8 closed down? Either truly try to resurrect it or turn it into something else like six flags mall.

Businesses are leaving and this mall is long overdue for being torn down. Sears is the only major anchor store keeping this place alive, with the exception of a few retail stores still hanging in there. Keeping money within the black neighborhood is not the issue....demographically, its considered to be in a low income area, with local independently-owned businesses keeping the area from drowning in a financial depression. Major retailers see the area as a threat and of course, move to areas where development is booming and they dont fear being robbed. But crime is everywhere, so our black leaders need to take a stand and be heard, instead of sitting back being content with nothing and no place to shop locally.

Not like it use to be but it is still hanging in there. Over 20 years ago this was the Mall of all Malls in the Soutwest area of Dallas. It was once named Red Bird Mall. Burlington Coat factory was the most recent store to bail out on this location. So far Sears & Macys is the last ones hanging in there at this location. The other independent stores are little stores that offer cheap low end clothes. Also the food court is really not so great after Chick Fil LA left out of there as well. Now this place is used to bring in business owners to sell items you my have at a low cost. Not my choice to come and shop anymore but this place holds so many great memories, great buys and times.

Be careful when you lease a place in this mall. There are a bunch of frauds in the leasing office who literally lie to the core to get you to lease a space. If you want to lose your money, sleep, peace of mind, health etc, lease a space from here. To know the character of the owner, go visit the restroom in the food court. That clearly describes the character of the owner. Simply Stinky. To see what the mall management does in the mall, go visit the escalator. Doesnt work, and, thats exactly what the mall management does. Hope you got my point.

Crappy mall. Not many stores. Lot of dead stores. This place lacks a candy store and a food court. There is a Burlington. The last time we went there, I did not want to go there, but my sis wanted to. I wanted to go to Northpark on 75 instead, but we did not go there that day. I did not even want to go to Burlington, but Sis forced me in. We did not go wherever I wanted that day. Very bad day. Very disappointing. I would better prefer going to nearer, bigger, more active, more convenient mall, like Northpark or Stonebriar instead.

I am not sure what the deal is with this mall. It is a ghost town. The anchor stores are only about half filled with merchandise and have even fewer sales staff. I was in the Sears store for 5-10 minutes before I even saw a salesperson. To be fair I was there in the early afternoon on a weekday. That may have had something to do with it, but it was still an odd experience.

Mall should just close down every other building is closed even new businesses that moved in have already moved out the owners are making no improvements to the mall as promised when the grants were received. I hosted an event there to bring business and management would not help distribute flyers or allow me to post Flyers that the event was taking place never again

BODY BANG TATTOO STUDIO inside of southwest center mall is the spot for great artwork and piercings. This STUDIO has just the right mix of rebellion and responsibility. Located in a safe drug free environment where all of the employees are clean and talented yet just hood enough to be located in the middle of redbird. Great service, Great work, Great prices.

On a weekend morning, with no rain, our family shopped this district last weekend while visiting Dallas. There are many places for parking, both on the street and in a parking garage. It is a lovely outside shopping area, with wonderful, more up-scale boutiques and stores to explore. There are also wonderful eateries to have a meal at. For a.

Sad. Were so busy shopping everywhere except where it would benefit us most, and probably cost us less til weve shopped ourselves out of our own neighborhoods. We had ALL "the good stores". But for some reason, we have to go where "they" go. Now. there goes our jobs North, our monies North snd where is our community pride? Up North.
