I just had the most wonderful experience here!! Not only was the tea that was suggested to me (Revival) DELICIOUS the service was out of this world. Talk about a first name basis, out of the 30+ customers who came in for the four hours I was there the owner of this place not only greeted most customers by their first names but also recalled their drink order. He was so personable, and listened and chatted with each and every customer. I loved the jokes that he shared, not necessarily to be funny but to put a smile on a persons face, which is what it did for me. Witnessing such a genuine business like this makes me sad that I do not live in the area and am not able to go in every single day because if I am in the area you can bet Ill be going in again. After my extended stay I saw just how much he cares for his customers and he even kept checking on me to make sure I was doing alright. Not forgetting about me once I bought my drink and sat down like most chain coffee shops. Such a great atmosphere, go there and support local businesses!

My partner had been here a few times when she used to work in Dallas, and she wanted me to check it out. Lets just say there is nothing Ive been to it thats like it. A cool little cafe in the front, and large picnic table area in the back. WIth a neverending looping video. The food was delicious, the coffee was pretty good, and the atmosphere was chill. I hate driving to Dallas, but Id suck it up if I could come back to this place. And that means something! ;) Definitely recommend coming in here for a coffee, a sandwhich and maybe something to read or work on. Definitely a great pace!

I work downtown and stop here several times a week. I love the atmosphere, but the staff is really what sells this place. You will be very happy with the food / beverages. They are very knowledgeable about where they get their products. The milk is surprisingly impressive. What keeps you coming back is the staff though. You will not find a more welcoming place they work hard to identify and speak with all of their customers. Stay for the jokes. I come down for a brain break and one or two while I wait for my coffee is nice.

Hesitant to leave a great review only because I dont want this place to get overcrowded. That said, its fantastic. The sandwich I had with apples and cheese was out of this world good. And Ive never loved a sandwich without meat. The strawberries on the side were super sweet, not like the ones sold around here. I was told, however, that the strawberry supplier isnt reliable so dont be surprised if yours are less good. The service gets an A+, too. Quick for lunch, food comes with fresh jokes and a friendly face.

The food was decent, but so overpriced I have to give it 3 stars. I had a pork sandwich, cup of soup and a soft drink. My wife had a bowl of soup and soft drink. The total was $26. My cup of soup was only 4-5oz, while my wifes "bowl of soup was not much bigger. I think most of the reviews here are for coffee and not for the food they serve. If you want to spend a lot of money on medicore food, this is the place for you.

First time here I had the pork loin sandwich with fruit and a cup of cookies and cream ice cream, everything tasted great! Jon and the staff were so attentive and Jon set such a positive vibe with his one-liner jokes. I came in emotionally stressed and the positive vibe of Serj really lifted my spirits. Great little joint! Parking is a little tricky but if you like to explore like me its no problem!

Bookstore + coffee shop is always a win for me. Serj is exactly that! Grand selection of drinks, loved their variety of teas (all locally sourced) and attention to detail while brewing it for you. A selection of soups and sandwiches will ensure that you stick around for a bite to eat. Staff here is friendly and helpful. Ask for the joke of the day before wandering off!

The chicken salad sandwich was so fresh and delicious I was able to forgive the under toasted bread. I would have been happy with toasted or not toasted, but partial toasting taste like stale bread. The man behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. The ambiance is just calm and relaxing and Zen like. Id like to try more of their offerings.

Just the best coffee shop ever. I wish I could steal it from Dallas and move it home to Little Rock. The owners are joke aficionados and some of the most delightful peope Ive ever met, the food and atmosphere are great, and its an easy walk from the Dart Station on North Olive, for travelers who find themselves with some time to kill between buses.

Wonderful, local coffee house with people you look forward to seeing. I stop by here some mornings and the staff are unfailingly upbeat and personable, the coffee is every bit as good (if not better) as the national chains and the back room with cat videos is great to relax in. Highly recommended.

Upon entering Serj Books, I immediately felt welcome. Jon said a hilarious joke, the atmosphere was very great, the staff was very friendly, the hot chocolate was delicious, and best of all there are handpicked books in this unique, neat coffee shop!

Excellent service. Visited Dallas and a member of the staff (owner maybe?) gave us an extremly detailed list of things to do in the area, well after we purchased our drinks. The drinks were decent as well. Felt very welcomed.

I CANT find the words to do this place justice. The jazzy music really made the atmosphere pop. I just felt pleasant vibes the whole time. The manager is friendly and you arent treated as just another number to be served.

Simply wonderful! The staff is so inviting with their clever jokes and love for cats. Not to mention, the food is delicious. This is a great stop to come read or buy a book (or both!) while enjoying some crazy good food.

A little pretentious, but good natured owners and staff ... and some pretty good food. I think they plan on moving locations in 2017 to a spot immediately adjacent to and north of the carillons in Thanksgiving Square.

We have Starbucks at work, but I stop here off the DART without graduation because the coffee is terrific, I get witty jokes from the employees (free of charge), and theyve got a selection of locally written books.

Very friendly service. Trendy food but not a good value. Maybe after some time they will get better. The hot tea was over steeped and sappy. Sandwich was greasy. Grilled veggies were overooked. Small portions.

I didnt expect to find this little coffee shop. They have coffee, books and food. The guy with cool glasses behind the counter keeps cracking jokes.. Oh... Before I forget, there is more seating in the back

The friendliest place to have a good lunch! Everyone who works here is so nice and helpful, and the daily jokes are corny but really put a smile on my face :) and the food is great! Love this place.
