My neighbor and I live on fixed incomes, and we are avid thrift store shoppers. When I learned of this store via a local news report we excitedly ran over there to have a look. We were SHOCKED at the price tags on old, worn furniture. The Susan Castor name brand is everywhere, but nothing we saw was worth what was being asked. I mean really! Its a thrift store. We found nothing thrifty! There was a set of dining room chairs...$195 each! There were OLD wicker chairs, coming unraveled, $30. My neighbor saw a swan bowl she loved, but it had a $40 price tag on it. We looked all over that bowl so we could see who the maker was, and nothing was visible. When my neighbor questioned why the price was so high the gal working there just told us, "One of our girls did research on it." How do you do research on worth when there is no name brand on the piece? Upon arriving home I found a glass swan bowl that was almost identical to the one we saw for $25 on Etsy. I realize this is for charity, but to say you can save money shopping here may be an overstatement. We asked if they ever had sales, and the lady told us twice a year were organized sales. Im sure they must have bargains here and there, but the day we went there was nothing at all for us! Its not at all a convenient location, so we wont be back.

This place was a fkn joke! I asked for pricing on some laminate flooring the guy called home depot to get the price they responded with they would give him a call back. He then said well Ill look it up and gave me a price of $10 for one piece of laminate flooring which I asked $10 a box he replied with no a piece which is fkn ridiculous when home depot has the same Damn flooring for .99 cents a piece. He then said well I can give you a good deal on each box for $75. I understand that this place is suppose to be for charity & cheaper than the actual stores but seriously their pricing is fkn ridiculous especially when I could buy the same flooding at home depot for $24 a box

I feel ,considering the merchandise is donated and used . its prices are almost the same as if you buy brand new from Home Depot or Lowes
