We had the best experience at Ashley Furniture in Conroe. When my husband and I first walked in the door, we came prepared with sale ads from all the local furniture stores...we wanted to make sure we didnt buy the first thing we liked. We were greeted by Tim. We told Tim what we were looking for, and he showed us our options. We were honest with Tim and told him we were shopping around before making a decision. Tim was very respectful of our need and decision. He didnt mind at all quoting prices and us taking pictures of our top 2 pieces. Tim gave us his business card before we left. We went to 2 competitor stores where the salesmen tried very hard to oversell their products, but did give us some great information that we hadnt considered. We were curious how our 2 favorite pieces at Ashley compared from a mechanical stand point - given we were looking at electric reclining sofas and love seats. We decided to call Tim at Ashley to asked a few follow up questions. Tim immediately took our call. He was extremely helpful over the phone. In fact Tim took 2 calls from us, did some research and called us back. We were very impressed with Tims responsiveness, knowledge and willing to assist and find answers to some uncommon and challenging questions. Once Tim called us back, our minds had been made up and we quickly headed back to Ashley! Tim happily greeted us when we walked in, took us to our 2 favorite pieces and even helped us narrow down the set we ultimately purchased. Ashleys high quality furniture and Tims superior service really made us feel comfortable with our decision to make such an investment. The Store Manager, Rhonda McSweeney, came and introduced herself to us during the transaction as well. We bought a couch and 2 love seats which were delivered to our home in perfect condition by a professional delivery team. My husband and I had been talking about a set of end tables and coffee table we had seen while we were at Ashley Furniture. Weve had our new couches for a few weeks now, and finally made the decision to go back and buy the tables. We were elated to see Tim working tonight when we walked into the store. He didnt know we were coming...but he remembered us. We told him about the tables, our minds were 98% made up on the purchase when we walked in the door. But Tim talked to us about the tables and also showed us some similar tables he thought we might like. Of course we bought the tables wed been thinking about for the last month... While Tim was working on the paper work, Rhonda came by and she remembered us too! Its quite nice to be remembered, especially when a store like Ashley Furniture is visited by so many patrons over a months time. Rhonda is running a fantastic store with a top notch team! We will be back...Im not sure for what...but this Team has definitely earned our business. Thank you Tim and Rhonda! Sincerely, Bob & Liza Evans

I have made purchases from 3 different Ashleys locations (Spring, College Station and unfortunately this one in Conroe and also dealt with the distribution center in Spring) all my Ashleys experiences have been great EXCEPT my dealings with the Conroe store. When I purchased my living room furniture (I went to the Conroe store first because I live in Conroe) the customer service was terrible and on top of that they wouldnt budge on price at all so I called College Station and they not only matched the price I was willing to spend they even came in lower and the general customer service was fantastic. When I purchased a new mattress I didnt even bother with the Conroe store based on my prior experience so I went to the Ashleys in Spring and the customer service there was great as well. Last May my wife found a computer desk on the Ashleys website. Not wanting to drive to Spring just to pay for a computer desk we went to the store here in Conroe, there was no way for them to mess that up. We picked the desk up from the distribution center in Spring. When we got it home it was damaged. Then I began the process of getting it repaired, replaced or returned. Customer service said they would have to send a repairman out to try and fix it before they would replace it (you cant repair smashed MDF or particle wood or whatever it was made of.) The tech didnt answer when I called him 30 minutes AFTER the 2 hour window was up. I wasnt home when technician finally showed up an hour and a half AFTER the end of the 2 hour window I was given. When Ashleys called me to tell me the tech was leaving because no one was home (I was on my way to Ashleys and I had been gone less than 10 minutes) I told them I would be there in less than 10 minutes, make him wait. Apparently the tech had already left and the appointment would have to be rescheduled. So at this point I went back to the Conroe store and dealt with "Zoe" the "manager." His lack of knowledge and lackadaisical attitude lead me to believe that he must be closely related to the owner...thats the only thing I can come up with as to how he is a manager. Every time I have dealt with him he has the same annoyed blank stare my kids give me when Im getting on to them about not cleaning their room. Its as if your issues with the company he is "managing" are not his problem and he would rather be playing candy crush than listening to you. Needless to say I have been working on getting a refund for the computer desk since June. Granted not all of my issues through this process have been with the independently owned Conroe branch. My opinion is based on my experience with the store the times I have had to deal with them in the process of getting a refund for damaged merchandise they were never capable of repairing as well as my experience from other trips into the Conroe Ashleys. The customer service at the Conroe Ashleys is impressively HORRIBLE.

I recently purchased a sofa with the Ashley Furniture Homestore in Conroe, TX. Everything went fine until it came to the delivery day. I received an email, text message, and phone call on the Saturday before delivery ALL stating the delivery was scheduled anywhere from 3:30 - 6:30 pm. I confirmed this time and prepared to leave work at 3:00 pm to be back at my apartment to wait on delivery. The day of delivery, I received a phone call from the delivery driver at 12:50 pm stating they were on their way to my home. I told them, no, the delivery was scheduled for 3:30 - 6:30 (and I still retain proof of this through the email and text). I told him I wasnt leaving work until 3 so I would not be home until after 3 pm. He said he would contact someone and see what they could do and call me back. At 2:30 pm I received a voicemail on my phone from the delivery driver stating that they were on their way to my apartment. At 2:40 pm they called and stated they were at my apartment. That was ridiculous. I was only approved for time off of work from 3 pm onward. Since I see clients throughout the day I cannot just take off work whenever. I have to plan things in advance. I called customer service who gave me the most ridiculous illogical reason why the delivery drivers were there before the scheduled time. She stated that the delivery time had been rescheduled the day before delivery; however, I was NEVER notified of this. She stated that because I had confirmed my appointment the Saturday before they just automatically assumed I was okay with the new delivery time. That is absolutely ridiculous! You need to be respectful of peoples work schedules. She stated that if I didnt get there in the next 20 minutes then the delivery would be rescheduled. Again, no accommodation for something that was NOT my mistake. I had to bolt out of work and drive 80 mph down the road to try to get to my apartment in time. When I got there I asked the delivery men if they could give me a second to move my bookcase so they could fit the couch there. I was told, "No." Are you kidding me? The delivery drivers seemed completely uncaring and lazy. Then I emailed myself a customer satisfaction survey so from the drivers iPad so I can give my comments and when I clicked on it later on in the evening it said the survey had already been taken. Um, no. I never took the survey. Absolutely ridiculous experience and horrible customer service. This will really make me think twice before ordering anything from Ashley again.
