i really hope home depot reconsiders the idea of letting teenage/early 20-year-old boys to work there. i really wanted to believe that they were helpful, but they were not AT ALL. i was buying a piece of wood to finish a cabinet im rehabbing. i said i need it to be 30" wide, 55" long. so they cut it for me. while theyre cutting it i go get a few bungee cords to put the wood on my roof rack, as it will not fit in my car. "dont worry about buying bungee cords, we can tie it up with twine for free!" say the young inexperienced in life boy-children employees. ok i say, way too trusting. so i buy the wood, the boy ties it with twine onto my roof rack, and off i go. mind you, i only live 2 miles from this location. i notice that cars are very wary of driving behind me. i hear the wood moving a little. i think that im so close to home that i can make it. WRONG!!!!! the wood goes flying off my car into the busy road on 1431. i couldve really damaged someones vehicle. so im pulled over on the road, trying to gather my large pieces of wood, then a cop pulls up behind me, i have to explain that the boy children at home depot insisted that i not buy bungees but rather let them tie it up. i finally get things situated, and get home safely by some miracle. then i measure the wood, because i held it up to my cabinet and its not even cut straight at all. one end is 29.5" and the other end is 29.75". im not going through the hassle of returning this wood, but i would like to caution others, BEWARE OF THE LITTLE BOYS WHO WORK AT HOME DEPOT AND HAVE NO REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE AND ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT SHOWING OFF FOR EACHOTHER THAN ACTUALLY DOING THEIR JOB. it made my trip to home depot quite a nightmare to say the least. better luck next time i guess. @_@

UPDATED: See update below. DO NOT rent tools or equipment from this location! I rented the same pressure washer I always rent and this ones nozzle was stuck and would not increase pressure (or decrease, it was just stuck). I called in to inform them of this problem. When I sent someone to return with the machine, the nozzle still didnt budge. Home Depot charged us 4 hours for a machine that did not function correctly. When I returned to the store to dispute this charge, the cashier admitted he had gotten the nozzle to function AFTER the return, but would not refund my money. He called an assistant manager that refused to listen to me because the machine worked correctly now. I understand that equipment malfunctions and can be repaired, but it is horrible customer service and just down right sleazy to charge me for finding the problem in your machine. I was unable to use the machine! The proper thing to do would have been to refund my 4 hour fee so I could have rented the repaired equipment tomorrow with 4 hours of daylight. Shame on you, Home Depot, for having employees that treat your customers this way! UPDATED FROM 1 STAR to 3 STARS: I sent my review into the email provided on the Home Depot website. I received an email back very quickly with a request for me to call and speak with Shawna. Shawna was very helpful and understanding about what happened. She offered to send me a reimbursement check or store credit. I accepted the store credit as I have never had any issues with the cashiers or workers on the main floor. I will not rent at this location to avoid dealing with these specific employees again but Shawnas kindness and understanding reminded me that a couple bad eggs do not equal the entire store.

My wife and I are trying to replace a porch door damaged by the previous tenants. We went into the Cedar Park store picked out a door, and were quoted one installation price by John in Millworks. We then waited two weeks for a contractor to measure and assess materials needed. We then had to contact Home Depot several times about the estimate because they never got back to us. HD then quoted us $200 more for the installation, and additional charges. We have called eight times now trying to reach the general manager and the assistant manager Robert. Its been almost a month since visiting the store and we still dont have a door, and although the website says its in stock, the manager says its not and it will be another two to three weeks. Our house is now flooding. If HD had gotten back to us with the estimate in a timely manner, and ordered the door, we wouldnt be dealing with storm damage. The poor sales associates keep apologizing and telling us that the assistant manager is away on a two hour lunch break. This has happened three times. Honestly, this is no way to run a business. I have had dealing with HD before in California and never a problem, but Cedar Park needs some serious management training.

I went to the store and ordered a GE dishwasher. It was delivered the next day, and thats when the trouble started. They hauled away the old dishwasher and took most of the parts I needed with it, such as the drain hose, power cable, etc. I went back to Home Depot and, after spending $68 for an install kit, I was on my way. The installation went fine, but the drain pump on the dishwasher was not working. Not their fault. So we called them back and they said they would send someone out to take care of it. 20 minutes later they called back and said they werent sending someone out after-all, and would contact GE to get a replacement. I told the guy on the phone that they needed to send someone out with the replacement to swap it for us, since its not our fault that it was faulty. The guy became very rude and said he wouldnt do that, and we should be glad he was swapping it out for us. At the end of the call, he said Look, do you want me to swap it out or not? Yes or no?" I said yes and he hung up. Theyre sending a replacement dishwasher, but it will take a couple of days. After this, Im never going to another Home Depot ever again. Im going back to Lowes, like I shouldve done in the first place!

Wow, so I am not the only one who received NO Customer Service!!! Talked with the Ass. Manager about the Ryobi battery charger that stopped working and is not even a year old yet. After much run around with the extended warrant people and then told by Robert that I needed to contact Ryobi. The Ryobi people now tell me that the pro desk should handle this. Please let me waste another day of screwing around with these incompetent people because I have nothing better to do. There are so many stores I guarantee I will not return to this one.

I literally never take time out of my day to write reviews but this seems necessary. We called about renting equipment and they said its a $200 so we go to rent it and they say well you have a bank card to rent the equipment...that is all they say so I go to use my sister n laws bank card because ours was reading as a debit card and they say well she has to be here in order for you to use it......we live about 30-40 mins away from this place so literally a complete waste of my time and gas. You people should be more informative.
