Overall, poor experience and would not recommend them. Ill share our experience as objectively as possible below. On 9/17, 12 of us rented a double decker pontoon boat for 6 hours (~$900 after random fees not advertised on website). Initially, service was good as we were running about 10 minutes behind and they did not hold it against us. Moving down to the boat ramp, we got our first indication that things may go poorly. Sitting on the trailer, the employee attempted to turn over the engine but it did not work. It took him 20-30 minutes to start the engine (mind he is supposed to be familiar with this specific engine and how it works). Once the engine was running, we took off on the water providing our own experienced operator. On the water, we soon came to realize the boat had been partied out. First, the speakers in the boat did not work. Second, the ply wood deck up top was warped directly above the operator to the point that it felt as if you would fall through if you ran on top of that area. Lastly, the hull on the left side had been bent causing a good bit of water to splash up onto the deck and soak everything on the floor (*far more than would be expected, I know water normally splashes over). Our greatest grievance was when the engine would not turn over about an hour before our return time. As most of us had grown up on lakes, we were comfortable with the starting procedures. As previously described, even their own employee could not get the engine to start initially. Despite our best efforts and taking voice commands over the phone from the company, the engine would not turn over. Roughly an hour and a half later, they sent out someone to tow us in. We returned and discussed getting a little love from them for the dead speakers and boat problems. They took our name ensuring that their guy would call us in the next two days to discuss it and having our card on file would suffice if a refund was appropriate. The phone call never happened. Upon calling them, they went back on their word and said they could not give refunds despite having our card on file. Additionally, they blamed us for flooding the engine (which is highly likely based on the procedures they were telling us to use to start the boat) and noted that they had Bluetooth speakers we could have used... if only wed known. They, however, did offer in store credit if we were to rent from them again. Unfortunately, because of work we all will not be able to use it to which they said they could not offer an alternative. In summary, we had a great time on the lake but not because of their services. I would recommend using the JBSA MWR rentals if military or finding another more reliable company on canyon lake or Just for fun down on lake travis. No hard feelings here, just want people to have a realistic expectation of what they can expect when dealing with this company.

IF BOOKING HERE - MUST READ!!!! We booked with CLA for a bachelorette party on 4/30/16. We reserved the Double Decker pontoon boat for 12-4pm back in March 2016. When we arrived onsite (12pm) to pay and follow the boat out to the ramp, we were told they were short staffed and asked if we could wait. We waited in the parking lot for close to an hour (which we were okay with). Once we got to the boat ramp (1:15pm), and the crew started loading the boat into the water... the boat would not work! We were told the reverse/neutral would not shift so they were going to take the boat back and get us another one. We waited at the boat ramp for over an HOUR-- no call from the crew to update us on ANYTHING! When WE called THEM.. they told us they were taking the boat apart to try and fix it..while we waited with no boat!! Finally one of the guys came back and put us on a MUCH smaller pontoon boat... and had one of our girls drive it (we PAID for a driver..). After circling the lake a bit we noticed the boat we initially rented IN ONE OF THE COVES, driving around. When we pulled up we shouted that it was the boat we were supposed to be on-- but the driver said he was told by the crew on land that we did not WANT the boat anymore!!!! Once we sorted everything out, and the driver got onto our (SMALL) pontoon, he took over driving and we were finally able to relax (3:30 pm!!!). Our driver, Bob, was AWESOME. He took us to all the cool party coves and swim spots; showed us around the lake and gave us some good info on where to go swimming, fishing, etc. Thanks to BOB -- he saved the trip for us! Would NOT rent from CLA again. Guys were OK but unprofessional - we PAID for a double decker 17 passenger boat and received a 10 person small pontoon. Pay a little more $$ & go with a company with more RELIABLE equipment and workers. Thanks again, Captain Bob for saving my bachelorette!

Boat was definitly not in good shape. we rented the 17 passenger pontoon boat and we very disappointed. the grill would barely stay hot enough to cook the food. the engine was the hardest thing to start! multiple time we almost drifted into the rocks and other boats because we could not get the engine started to move. the anchor was the cheapest most flimsy little thing Ive ever seen. we were out for 6 hours and not able to anchor the boat one time because the rope was too short and and the anchor was too small for that large of a boat. very disappointed and will not use them again

Malfunctioning equipment, no refunds! Our family rented a 2 hour boat cruize with a driver. Our scheduled boat was late, but they were able to bring in a other boat about 15mins late. Captain was great kid (the good part) , but the boat constantly stalled. We never made it very far on the lake, and had to be towed back. The owner refused to even acknowledge any problems and tried to blame everyone else but his broken equipment. He refused any compensation. I cannot recommend.

This review is based on unprofessional observation....the canyon lake adventures truck was at the turkey cove boat ramp #2 basically blocking traffic and someone from the water yelled to him to get out of the way then he started cussing out a completely different person?!? So ridiculous and unprofessional! Would never recommend!

Web site is good. Thats where it ends. You will regret using this overpriced, trashy place. Wore out, terribly, maintained equipment. Old food, trash, and beer cans from previous use. Ladder missing. Was told, "that just happened yesterday." Right. Trailer park meets boat rental. You will be sorry. Use somebody else.

Great customer service We rented 9/16 had a great time jetskis worked great one just ski was a little older but worked great didnt really matter to us the age just as long as they worked great and they did the owner went over everything with us no issues will rent from them again!!

Rented a Party Barge from these guys. It was a great experience. I would use them again if I returned to Canyon Lake. The water slide on the Party Barge was SLIPPERY and our grown man selfs got to act like kids again. Great times and great memories thanks for the awesome time.
