Love them love them love them. Easily my favorite coffee spot in-town. TCT is an old-school Austin roaster (they sell to many of the coffee shops in-town), so you can try any of their coffees (or teas) in-store and take home as much as your little heart desires. They also have a range of nifty, innovative, useful, and particular items relating to coffee and tea inside. If you buy anything in-store they will make you something from the cafe bar (for free!), and my friend Amanda loves their free muffins/brownie bites. For me, its really fun to walk around, peruse, and taste. Talk to any of the staff, they are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help you. Take your coffee drink outside, sit down, relax, paint (I do sometimes!), or just have a fancy caffeinated beverage and get some work done. I have only one complaint - I really wish that they had a power strip or some other majestic form of charging spot outside by the tables.

Just came here for the first time today, not expecting much, and I was a bit blown away. They have tons of coffee variety and quality, but it wasnt just that! First off, the staff is super helpful AND knowledgeable AND patient. They arent aggressively trying to sell anything, they are just super into their craft and love sharing their knowledge. Secondly, they have a great selection, not just of coffee beans, but also of equipment. Everything from french press to aeropress to espresso makers. Third, they have free tasting samples for hot coffee, cold brew coffee, tea, and lemonade. The nicest thing about this is that they have different brew styles of the same bean, so you can really compare and see the difference. Finally, they have an awesome outdoor chill area and coffee shop with chairs and tables! This was great since today happened to be a beautiful day. Dog-friendly too!

Philzs coffee in San Francisco is pretty good. They specialize on the artistically brewed cup. In fact I can think of none better--been tasting exotic coffees for 40 years. Exceptional coffee comes from Texas Coffee Traders in Austin Texas. I buy 3 lbs (weeks) at a time for my self and my 95 year old mother. Each day we discuss the quality of the cup of coffee as we drink it in the morning. We have been doing this for 15 years. It reminds her of when she was a child and her mother as well as all the neighborhood ladies bought their beans green every week. Each day they would roast the beans on the stove top. When my mother was 3 years old she learned to grind the beans with a hand crank. Ruth can recollect the aroma of the neighborhood roasting coffee through all these years. We agree in the supreme awesomeness of the Texas Coffee Traders product.

Texas Coffee Traders is a retailer for amazing fresh roasted coffee. They showcase 100 varaties of roasts, beans and flavors custom ground to your needs at the time of order. While they supply coffee to the local restaurants and markets, and generously give back to the community, that is only part of the story. The warm down to earth friendly staff know about the coffees and educate, share and patiently answer your questions as you can sample the difference between different coffee brewing methods (Sock, French Press, drip.) Swing by and get a fantastic coffee drink that bests any barista or coffee chain out there, and pick up some fresh coffee for home. Supplying the coffee for the home coffee fan to supplying large gatherings such as KUTs Christmas Sing Along at the capital, and all businesses in between, dont miss out on visiting this gem of Austin.

This place is awesome! They offer many different types and roasts of coffee (which they roast themselves onsite-- because of this the place smells delicious) and tea, along with coffee and tea accessories. If you do not own a coffee grinder they will grind your purchased beans for which ever method of brewing you will be using. All of the staff is very knowledgeable. The owner, R.C., is very friendly and will take time to talk with you and answer any coffee questions you may have. Every so often he offers a free coffee tasting/cupping class. If you have the chance to do so and love coffee, sign up for this class! You will learn so much about coffee and have a ton of fun doing so.

Texas coffee traders is my favorite place to buy coffee beans in Austin. The staff is very friendly, and they have a great selection of freshly roasted coffee beans and high quality coffee related appliances and kitchen gadgets. Their prices are very reasonable too! You can get a pound of high quality, organic, fair trade coffee for only about $12 WITH a free drink of your choice included. This is a steal as they make some of the best hot and cold coffee drinks I have had...so the net cost of a pound of coffee is only about $9. This price is on par with grocery store prices for mass market premium coffee, but Texas Coffee Traders is much much better!

First I wanna say that I never write or participate in writing reviews. My experience here was nothing less than perfect. Im opening an account and am super stoked about it truly being my "one stop shop". The atmosphere is so settling and I even got a chance to meet R.C (the owner) who is the friendliest man youll ever meet. Candice (Candi) helped me and she was so helpful that I recommend anyone to walk in and ask for her if you need help. From machines, to beans to tea.... Candi is your girl. I hope this helps. Like I said... I NEVER write reviews so by me taking time out of my day to write this means so much. Theyre really the way to go.

This is the best place Ive ever been to buy coffee. When I walked in, someone immediately offered me samples and gave me an informative tour of the shop, complete with recommendations based on my input. They have a great variety if beans for sale from South American to African to Indonesian, and have a house band that comes from a farm run by the shop owner. They also have flavored coffee and top shelf limited beans available. Prices range from about $13-20/lb. They also stock whatever you need to get started making great coffee like French presses, scales, pour over drip systems, etc. Outstanding staff, great variety & reasonable prices

I went there to buy green coffee beans. The folks there were very nice, and the warehouse was interesting to explore. Only thing is the coffee there is extremely expensive! They charge $8/lb. for green beans, which roast down to about half that weight. Online you can get coffee for about $4-$5/lb., shipped, so Im afraid I wont be going back. Im a big fan of supporting local business, but only as long as the premium isnt two times the price. Five stars for service and atmosphere, one star for price = three stars total.
