What a gem this shop is. It may be a smaller space, but there is no shortage of exquisite textiles, notions and trims. It is a veritable feast for the eyes. Dont see what you want? Benson and Mark will keep their eyes out for just the thing to tickle your fancy. These shop owners are personable, knowledgeable, and at the ready to help any way they can without making you feel like youre being smothered. This is the kind of local shop Austin has needed, and it is a pleasure to support. It is a tucked away gem with a treasure trove of goodies just waiting to be discovered. The quality is truly breathtaking and the prices surprisingly reasonable. The only negative will be trying to make a choice, youll want it all!

I went into TexStyles for the first time this weekend and was blown away. Their selection of fabrics is incredible and the prices are affordable considering the quality of fabric youre getting. Benson and Mark, the owners, are very sweet and helpful. Benson knows a lot about sewing so he was able to give me some much needed advice on how to make my garments look more professional. I was shocked because Im used to going into craft stores and feeling like a nuisance when I ask for advice. I felt very welcome at TexStyles! I have a feeling Mark and Benson are going to turn me into a fabric junky because their store is amazing! You have to check it out!

Another fantastic locally-owned fabric store, a great complement to Silk Road and The Common Thread for us garment sewists. Tucked away in South Austin, the modest exterior of the shop is deceptive. Inside youll find a treasure trove of beautiful garment fabrics at great prices, meticulously steamed and displayed, artistically arranged by color. The pieces are bolt ends and remnants and are only a few yards or shorter, but they are gems! Not that I need any more stash, but there is no doubt I will be a regular!

Made a special trip to come here on a day off based on glowing reviews. Store had a good selection but could not get anyone to help me or check out. Store was completely unattended. There were people working next door, tried to get them to help me but they pointed at owner who disappeared around corner of building. It was a very weird experience. They dont have a sign on building. Its hard to find and I couldnt buy anything. Dissapointed that I went out of my way to come here.

This store has a large variety of quality apparel fabrics, especially knits, which were very reasonably priced Mark was very helpful in a low-key manner. I was allowed to browse for quite awhile. Dangerous place if you are a fabric geek. I will definitely return.

It is so difficult for garment sewers to find fine fabrics these days. This is my favorite store in Austin- the stock is an eclectic mix of textiles- mainly knits and silks of extremely high quality for discount prices. What a treasure trove!

I was impressed with this new locally owned fabric store. They have amazingly low prices and lots of interesting designer fabrics. They also have trims and buttons and other closures. I will be shopping at Texstyles again for sure!
